Does anyone knows if multiple charaters have the same freedom in the island ?

For exemple. In New Leaf, I shared the town with my girlfriend, and as there could only be one maire, she couldn't build anything for the town and some event could only be triggered by the maire.

Will there be a separate thread for turnip trades etc?

More than likely no. All your talk about that can be done in here.

You can timewarp. You are correct. But this time around it's not so useful as all events will be pre-loaded into the game and on the start day of each event a little activation patch will need to be downloaded to access the event. To prevent people timewarping to get stuff early.

I'm stuck in isolation for at least another week before I can leave my apartment again. Luckily, a friend is gonna pick up my AC Switch tomorrow morning for me. The game will definitely make being cooped up inside a little bit more bearable.
I'm hoping for peaches to be my native fruit but I'll just leave it for fate to decide rather than resetting multiple times.
Glad to hear that those who have it early are enjoying it. I look forward to people sharing more once peoples islands start flourishing.

I hope this game allows us to do a lot on the first day. I'm having bad memories of New Leaf, waiting forever to get that game, and then when I finally got it, playing for a short amount of time before being told by Isabelle "you'll have to wait until to tomorrow to do that". Ugh.

I don't expect shops to open up on the first day or my house to be built on the first day (those are things that have always been a next day ordeal in the series and I understand) but I hope there is a lot to do on the first day even still.

That actually makes sense to me, but I only ever time travelled backwards if I couldn't play for weeks due to health crisis in my family. Kept my favorite villagers and cut down on roaches.

Local Walmart was putting copies in the case right before close. Ended up snagging 2 copies early!! Kids are going to wake up to a nice surprise tomorrow. Can't wait to watch them play!!

I will set my hemisphere = South since i live in Java island, below the Equator line so once i get the game on April 2020, i will see Autumn season.
And then my birthday which one day before Halloween will be in Spring season. 🤨

Hello, I'm new here

The Switch is my first Nintendo console, and my first game is Animal Crossing. Never played it before but I've read up and it sounds just like the kind of thing I could lose myself in. Console bought, game downloaded, just need to finish work before I can get home and in play it, about 12 hours to go. See you around.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I start this game on my OG Switch and create an island there – if I then put the cartridge in my Switch Lite, I need to make a new island? Or is even that possible? As it's the sane user account, can I have two separate islands on two different consoles, or will one be deleted?

My native fruit is cherry, played for a few hours this morning but feel like I need to give it a rest till later. Oh, I'm so in love with it already, and the midnight starting vibe was truly there. Exploring the island in the dark, just chilling and catching the fish was so great to be doing. Felt nice and calm, and was an experience I'll hold as one of the greatest in the series.

And now we get to business, as there's things to be building to get this island up and running.

Just started this morning. My native fruit is pears. Looking forward to trading when the airport opens for business.
