Me & Mauhlin have almost no lag in comparison. How can Nintendo manage no problems with MK and yet this is problematic?

I’ve also noticed spectating is hit and miss, with me not being able to see Lroy & Mauhlin’s match. The spectate button is darkened.

@Agent721 you have to make sure spectate is on before both fighters click ready

Total lagfest against @Mauhlin12 but still fun to play against you fellas. Close match against @Agent721 'battle of the Guiles'

I'll hover about and see if I can join again. Kids keep waking though. Mrs. Trying to see to both but I'll be needed at some point most likely.

@Fafounet Thanks. Was nice just to get a few rounds in. Especially, as i hadn't expected to be able to join. Enjoyed it a lot.

If Capcom can get in there and sort out the online, increase lobby size - I thought there was meant to be some online knockout tournament mode? - this game could be incredible for multiplayer. Really hope it does get some post-launch attention.

GG to all and thanks for playing! It's a bummer that Capcom apparently don't want people from different continents playing against each other. Hopefully they work on their online stability and hopefully online play in general improves once paid online launches. Gotta love the little touches in this game, like how Ryu and Ken pound fists in 3rd Strike and Sagat's Shoryuken chest scar lights up vs. Ryu in Alpha 3. I had a lot of fun playing and learning today. @Agent721 If you see me online and you feel like getting some matches in let me know. There was hardly any lag when we were playing, much better connection than when playing with randos.

Clearly they’re no servers and it’s player to player connection. I’ve got a fast 100 megs per second line, so the lack of dedicated servers combined with long distances is creating the lag. Thank god Doom and MK do not suffer the same fate. Or ARMS, didn’t notice any lag on that last week.

Nintendo must fix this along with its partners ASAP, given the pay wall incoming.

I hope this gets fixed as @Lroy says, this could be a real gem for online play.

@mauhlin12 Interesting, I was playing against @Fafounet and didn't find any lag on my end. I see he is in Ireland and I'm in Northern Ireland, so geographical location most likely does have something to do with it.

Surely Capcom realise this is a problem and they are working on a fix.......
