Any chance that Nintendo gives NSO subscribers the first option to reserve a system, kind of like Alarmo? They mentioned wanting to curb scalpers, that could be a good way to do it (for initial pre-orders at least)

@Lazz Pretty much. We might see other retailers do something similar, like Walmart requiring Walmart+ for Switch 2 preorders.

I actually hope GameStop does something similar, as bonkers as that sounds.

Guys, I'm actually reversing my prediction of hardware info this week. I just got a notification on my phone that they're adding Wind Waker tracks to the Nintendo Music app.

They're not gonna want to steal that thunder.

@NinChocolate No way in hell they're shadow dropping a console reveal. They want people tuning in to see it. 100% if we hear nothing Wednesday, it's fake.

You gloated about getting the announcement week right and said we all need to up our game and realise Nintendo isn't the same Nintendo or something. All I'm saying is that's a bit rich given you were one of the ones last year pouring water on discussion about the hardware leaks because Nintendo isn't about just more power and it might not even be a Switch

I change my speculation based on new evidence. We don't know much so we all miss the target, especially when it comes to dates. Dates and marketing are not something you can technically disprove or pour doubt on, like people speculating about reverse Wii U or whatever whacky ideas people have. It's subjective. The idea that the people who got the date wrong are doing "old Nintendo" and that you somehow picked up on some new pattern is laughable

The big irony in all this is that the YouTube talking heads I've disagreed most with on this speculation game are Kit and Krysta. Who dismissed the October window outright, dismissed the importance of the investor meetings, but we're keen on this week because it landed between the inauguration and CES. And they're the definition of old Nintendo

@rallydefault if current Nintendo President didn't said that they will be doing something against scalpels this time it would be kinda right statement, but he did state they plan do something against scalpels and that is higher amount of Consoles worldwide at launch! From all rumors/leaks that number will be at least at around 6-7 millions worldwide at launch compared to 900k+- worldwide at NS1 launch! Plus from certain data for Shipments from certain company/ies that work with Nintendo for Hardware or/and assembly kinda confirms that Mass Production for NS2 should started around September last year, so!

@Overzeal What you on about? It’s not 3pm GMT yet. Besides Nintendo didn’t announce they were revealing the Switch until after midnight here in the U.K., which is well past the normal timeframe.
