@Tay32111 I'm mostly poking on Pokemon Legends ZA right now (Although I have finished the main story and some post game stuff-- Just needed to play through the Infinite Battle Royale 20 times now I think)
@Tay32111 Unfortunate about not being able to get it till January, but that just means you can shop around better for SD Card maybe? well if you are going full physical onlies I guess that doesn't really matter.
And my storage is only extra 256 GB, since over here it's still plenty expensive. I'm waiting for the 1TB to get more reasonable in pricing.
@darkfenrir my mom doesn't want me to get the Switch 2 right now because "Her Friend From Work" told her to tell me to wait for a while just because he "Has problems playing with his Switch 2".
Well he never told her what issues he is facing.
I told her to ask him so I can have an idea of what issues he is talking about, but she's been so busy at work she doesn't have time to ask.
She said that when he brought it (aka 2 weeks after it launched) there's not much games for the Switch 2.
I tried to explain to her if that's the case maybe this is his first Switch and he doesn't have any of the Switch 1 games.
My idea maybe because there a lot of "Switch 1" Games that is "Lagging" on the Switch 2.
I told her that Nintendo is actively releasing Switch 2 updates as we speak.
She still says to wait until January to see if "any issues" are fixed.
So as of right now this will give me a chance to save up money.
Plus there's games on the Switch 1 i haven't played yet, so at least I have something to play on for now.
Switch2 can play most if not all Switch1 games unless there some compatibility issues but then again Switch1 is no longer in production. If you want to have better graphics and performance you don't have a choice here that is Switch2. Just by itself it improves gameplay for Switch1 games. Yeah, it does cost but that what you get if you want better performance other go buy the other consoles and ask was that enough you paid them as well? If you haven't plan to get one before Holidays your going to keep looking as this isn't the time to decide I like to get a Switch2 and play or get two or more as your going to be looking for long time as Holiday shoppers are planning this big purchases already.

Nintendo is predicting 2 million switch 1 sales over the next 6 months so it's definitely not dead yet. Plus there are multiple Switch 1 first party games releasing next year. Although given the Switch 1 price increase, I'm not sure why anyone would buy anything except a Switch Lite at this point.
I may still buy another original, though, mostly because if joycon drift hits a Lite, you’re pretty much out of luck. Especially in the future when Nintendo will inevitably stop repairing the older models.
@Tay32111 Nope. I tried it once to check if the dock works and just put it back into the box afterward. I don't have personal TV so docked is not interesting to me at all.

This. As far as I know, there has been no word of Nintendo "ending production" of the Switch 1.

No end of Switch1 but they are no longer in Production that tells they will use what's left of inventory and when it's gone it's gone. As Production is geared into Switch2. They can't keep making Switch1 and expect it to keep growing.

Again, do you have any evidence that they are ending production? Any official world or statement from Nintendo?
@darkfenrir I am now worried about Nintendo's first party Games.
Nintendo announced a new Pokémon Pokopia game today for the switch 2.
And its going to be on a Game key card. And its a Nintendo Published Game.
According to online, its a "Cheap" spin off that's only has 10GB of storage and it didnt want the 64gb cartridge.
But they are charging $70 for a cheap spin off game.
Luckily for me, I never played Pokémon and its not my favorite so this wont be a issue for me, I just hope that Nintendo doesn't release more games (especially Zelda And Mario) on Game Key cards.
As long as Nintendo keeps releasing Zelda, Mario, and Kirby (and more) on Physical Cartridges, im ok with them putting 3rd party games on Switch 2.
I already have tons of Switch 1 games and a PS5 so I really don't need to spend a lot of money for Game key card games anyway

@Tay32111 Eh, I'm not worried but I personally don't have much of a care about this kind of thing-I'm fully digital, so Keycards and stuff is just like, "well that might be an issue for you, but I don't use physical anyway so I... can't care too much"
on the GB and stuff I don't think it matters too much, just have to wait till it's out :v or we got more trailer about it.
Iirc it's not Nintendo published in Japan and that might be why it's key card? who knows.
