@WoomyNNYes
Maybe yes.
The NDS, version could get the same art style as Wind Waker HD.
Also, considering Paper Mario TTYD, one of the most expensive and most wanted retro game that ultimately get the Switch version with new game engine and some changes, I think the Chibi Zelda games from NDS probably will get the same treatment.
Zelda NDS games are also very expensive (English version) except the Japanese version (But they have better cover art and color choice. Green for Spirit Track, Blue for Phantom Hourglass)
@NinChocolate
Speaking for myself I'm probably just going to get into JoyCon modding if they don't give me the JoyCon I want. Nicer sticks, custom shells, coloured buttons. Unfortunately nothing we can do about digital triggers but the rest should be something you can remedy

One thing I would like to see in the next Nintendo system is an improved cartridge door. One thing I’ve noticed with my current Oled Switch is that the door to the game card slot is hard to open with out having finger nails.

What do y'all think we'll see for third party launch titles? I'm gonna say (assuming a spring launch), Assassin's creed shadows, CoD Black ops 6, and maybe a couple other big ones? Those feel like the obvious two. Thoughts?
@Bigmanfan I'm still thinking FF7 Remake. Square Enix is trying to leave exclusivity and they're a trusted enough third party partner they could probably arrange with Nintendo to get it out day 1. We know COD will come early because Microsoft is legally required to to have it on a Nintendo platform, but I don't know about day 1.
@FishyS Ooh, I forgot about ff7. I think there were rumors of it having a tech demo shown off for the switch 2 as well, so that makes a lot of sense. I'd imagine we see a lot of SE ports early in the lifespan honestly.
I don't know if anyone has seen, but a guy on the r/NintendoSwitch2 subreddit has just been potentially outed as a NOA employee - the screenshots he's been posting of Nintendo's Twitter accounts show that he can view the post engagements of tweets, as if he's logged into the NOA accounts. He's also a moderator of a little-viewed sub for the 'Nintendo Shift' which was created a couple of months ago. I don't know how much stock to put into it, but it is intriguing.
Nintendo's naming scheme for their weirder products seems to boil down to "basic concept-o"(e.g. Labo, Alarmo). Maybe the next system will follow suit?

I don't know if anyone else has made mention of this but I feel that the Alarmo and how its purchasing is being handled is actually a live fire exercise for a switch successor distribution method that could possibly alleviate the scalper issues of past video game system launches. It would also generally make sure that the most avid Nintendo fans would be the customers most able to secure one fairly early.

I have a gut feeling the name is going to be either Shift, Sling, or Swing.
Side note: As a Texan, I find it a little funny that my browser wants to auto correct Alarmo to Alamo; not that i need to be reminded.
@NapoleonDynamite If that leaked model was accurate & doesn't weigh more, I guess I'm ok with that? I don't know.🤔 I guess the size does make me a little nervous. I guess I default to trusting Nintendo.
@SplatRay001 Yeah, switch is at it's peak console numbers and therefore peak game sales potential for the holiday shopping season. I think if Nintendo revealed Switch 2 before january, they would be shooting themselves in the foot. Although, I'm open to being wrong, who doesn't want to see new switch?
8" LCD and or upgradable to OLED
BC to use Switch carts in Switch 2 cart slot
64g RAM - upgradable
256GB storage - upgradable
BT/Mic
Front and Back Camera/IR functions
2 - SD slots
Dock output to 4K 60fps with DLSS level 3 or higher
Portable 1080p or 720p switching depending on game resolutions or user choice
Longer battery life but not at expense of portability
Joy-Cons that are hand fit but not so massive it ruins the fun of "portable" gaming
Computer Folder for accounts transfers without having to use WIFI
Okay it's New Year's, holiday's over. Switch 2 announcement plz?
Seriously though, with all of the rumors and leaks I can't see them waiting much longer. I'm on the January train now. There's no more excuses to delay this.
It will still be as best 2x to 3x more power than the current Switch. 8GB or 9GB RAM, 800p to 900p screen, better battery-life with up to 2 more hours, no DLSS & co, no 4K or ray-tracing. No dual-screens. No magnetic rails.
No AI chips, it's a very unNintendo thing. They takes a proud by their programming, compression, optimizing skills on their games. They're the best on the industry with the compression.
Why would they suddenly be "cheating" with those chips?
Also what the heck will they do with the power of base PS4? It's too much for them. They makes console for themselves as the priority number one. Sony & Microsoft makes consoles for the third-party who just wants more and more power. PS4 Pro level is too much for Nintendo, it's an unbelievably huge leap between Switch and PS4 Pro in graphic-wise, more than 15x between them. Otherwise a new Wii U situation will occur, that Nintendo falls behind again when they're learning things they're not accustomed with.
Why should "Switch 2" suddenly be at PS4 Pro's level from being like 3x below Xbox One? This makes zero sense. It menas that it will be so much more expensive than Steam Deck then.
Too many on internet takes a pure speculation or guesses granted as real facts. There're still those who believes in that it will be 1080op dual-screens with 3D only because of some individuals speculated about it, aaaands so it's a spitting fact then!
I may be wrong. We'll just wait and see about who were right.
I have zero problem of admitting about when I were wrong.

More third party support, with the possibility of games like GTA and Red Dead Redemption also coming.
With the extra power, some of it can also go towards fixing the eShop so it runs better and maybe to also bring back themes (as well as bringing in game backgrounds) and UI music.
@Keman The specs, the magnetic rails, what the system looks like, and the motherboard have all been thoroughly leaked at this point, and it's pretty clear that they're legitimate.
The only thing that's not 100% clear is whether it's Samsung 8nm or 5nm, and clock speeds.
It's going to be roughly PS4 level undocked, and somewhere between PS4 and PS4 Pro docked
You know how the 'techsperts' have been saying the cart slot looks like it can accomodate a notch on S2 carts? Well, anyone remember a news article about Nintendo looking at carts having slots in them for another smaller cart? Maybe it's so it could fit those. No idea what it could do, but it could be a new 'gimmick' for Switch 2. (Just thinking out aloud.) I mean, whatever it could do to enhance physical gameplay must also be able to be done digitally...and if it can be done digitally, then why would it need a physical component. Hmmm....
