Topic: Nintendo Switch 2

It feels like since I've already waited, I might as well hold out for the Switch 2 updated version in some of these cases.

I could see the more niche titles talking awhile though.

My switch 2library is pretty small so far:

Mario Kart World
Donkey Kong Bananza
Deltarune
Hades 2

Plus whatever games got free upgrades

I really liked Siesta Fiesta too. It was such a cozy game. I got all gold medals. Sad that it's not available on other store fronts.

I have Ball x Pit on my wishlist. I've heard really good things about it but I have my hands full with other stuff at the moment. I'll get to it eventually.

I used to play a freeware brick breaker game called Jardinains! (as well as its sequel) back in the day on PC. It's breakout but there are garden gnomes that spawn on top of the blocks and they do their best to annoy you. They throw pots that stun you if they hit your paddle and they all laugh when you lose a ball. It has a great combo mechanic where you gain a multiplier by knocking them off and bouncing them on your paddle. In later levels you'll eventually have gnomes on every single block and it's just pure chaos. I love it. There's apparently a remake on Steam which is news to me.

Siesta Fiesta fans rise up!

Apparently my most played Switch game last year was the Switch 2 Edition of TotK. Then Mario Kart World and DK Bananza. Which doesn't really surprise me. And Animal Crossing is still my most played game overall, apparently

Would be nice if that play stats app everyone complained about for being useless was available in Australia. Then I could just look at this stuff whenever. Oh well

My top 3 were Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Piczle Cross Story of Seasons, and Bananza.

Interestingly, the recap seperated original hello kitty island Adventure versus the Switch 2 edition (which I updated to late in the year) even though both the mobile app and Switch 2 itself combines the numbers.

I was MK World, Guardians of Azuma, and Grand Bazaar.

I had never played a Rune Factory game until Azuma, and dang - that game is something special.

Mine was F1 Manager 24 with 125 hours, followed by Balatro with 63.

The most played in your Switch lifetime thing is quite damming for me, as it shows everything I’ve played in the last 5 years, including a bunch than are 1-2 hours.

I’ve put a crazy amount of time into Pokemon games, then a chunk into Animal Crossing, BOTW, Skyward Sword, Mario 3D World and Odyssey but there’s not much beyond that. I need to change that in 2026. Got a few big JRPGs I want to play and I think I’ll do that on Switch.

My top 3 most played games last year were Mario Kart World, Tetris Effect: Connected, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Have to admit, I've been watching Canada's mainly but just started on Season 18 😀

for the switch “wrapped”, My top three were N64 Classics with 85 hours (i was playing through majoras mask and ocarina of time last summer, so special), donkey kong bananza with 75 hours, and mario kart world with 65!!! im quite happy with mine, and i have a grand total of 537 hours!! The timeline was a really unique feature and i am glad they added it, really gets memories activated. also happy they waited until january 😝

@Ignatius_Cheese I need to start Canada. I'm still behind on UK, and I'm so excited for UKvtW 3.

That's quite the exponential curve you've got there. My top games don't go even remotely that high, Animal Crossing is 294 hours, so I probably don't play anywhere near as much as you do. But everything in my top games list has more than 20 hours. Mario Kart World, my second top game for last year, just barely makes the list at 21hrs. I'm pretty sure you'd have to go pretty deep in my library before you found something sub 10hrs

I guess some people play a few games a lot and others play a lot of games a little bit

Are there any special editions you guys would like to see?

Think this is a little inaccurate due to me playing across multiple systems, some modchipped where I was playing in a walled environment where Nintendo couldn't monitor my playtime, but generally speaking it looks pretty close to what I expected.

DQ7 remake has been confirmed to be censored. Another DOA game.
