@JaxonH I've got some caps, a friend gave me some, and I like them. As for my next JoyCon, I'm holding out for the next Mobapad creation, as the M6's are the best controller I have owned...at least before Nintendo released their new Pro Controller. I read on their site that they need to develop their own rumble, and that is what is holding them back...but it's been about a month since I last checked in on where they are at. Their goal is to make it every bit as good as Nintendo's.
@Lazz
I agree the M6 HD were superb. The only 3rd party joycon with the following:
Actual HD Rumble
NFC
Wireless
System Wake
17 Hour Battery Life
Rear Mappable Grip Buttons
Turbo/Macro
Mechanical Buttons
Best D-pad I've Ever Used
Swappable D-pad Rocker
Swappable Analogs
Swappable Faceplates
6-Axis Gyro
Ergonomic, But Not Too Bulky
Whenever the Mobapad M12HD release I'm all over that. Though I must say, the combination I'm using now with Jsaux Grips, D-pad and Analog Caps is pretty dang slick.

To be fair the DLC bundled to the expansion have been with super popular games that most people were playing anyways. Mario Kart 8 and Animal Crossing in particular, I would say most people in my family group took advantage of those. But yeah, even with that, the vouchers have been the most consistent value to be had through NSO+
Really, you only need to find $30AU/year value for the upgrade from NSO to NSO+ to be worth it for a single user. $27AU if you have two in a family plan, $18AU for three, $6.75AU if you have the full complement of 8. The vouchers made that relatively easy to achieve consistently
With that said, this last year NSO+ gave me the two Zelda Switch 2 Editions which I would've 100% purchased outright if not for NSO+. So that's $40AU right there and it has already comfortably paid for itself. Even before I account for the voucher I used to get Prime 4 cheaper (although admittedly in this case because retailers seem to be running away from the Switch 2 game premium here it only worked out to be $2AU less than the cheapest physical retail copy)
I paid for 3 years in advance this time in my group of 8. $30 USD covered me til October 2028.
I refuse to pay $180/yr for the highest tier of PS+ or whatever insane amount Xbox wants nowadays. But for $10/yr for the highest tier of NSO? Say no more. Lock it in.
Tomb Raider Reboot is now crossbuy on NS1 and NS2 btw, so if you purchased either version you can now download the other for free.

Yeah, got the damn expansion pack, I just...missed some of these games, and emulating them is a nightmare and always so glitchy. Anyways, playing through Wario World (half-way through now), kinda forgot some of the bosses in this game, was going through 1-2 trying to figure out who it was. Then I realized I could not remember at all who the 3rd major boss was, seeing the door to it in the hub area pretty much jogged my memory. xD
(yeah of course the bosses are the only things I cared about in this game, they're fun. Well, the music is also pretty good in general, lol)

@NintendoByNature I may play some N64 games after this, dunno yet...but I saw Jet Force Gemini and...that was one game I could never beat back then as a kid. I got to the end but could never figure out what to do after the 3rd major boss. lol

Sin & Punishment 2 on Wii was one of the best on-rail shooters I've ever played. Even topped Kid Icarus Uprising, and offered 2P co-op.
The original Sin & Punishment on N64 isn't as good, not nearly so, but it's still worth checking out imo. Definitely doesn't feel as good as using motion to aim, though.

Yeah having the option to purchase the games would have been a godsend to me, kind of like with the psone games added to ps+ where you can purchase them separately from the service for if theres those games you really want to keep, ive only picked up a couple on that since i prefer to play games handheld (plus mainly use my playstation for FFXIV anyway) but did notice when trying to buy "the legend of dragoon" that the game had counted as already been purchased because i had bought it as part of the "psone classics" line back on psp/ps3.
one thing im curious about with switch 2 is with all the hyperbole and drama going about online and all the ragebait youtube thumbnails... Has there been any vague idea of how the whole ram crisis would end up affecting the Switch 2, as in an educated guess or even potential situation, i know these kinds of things are unpredictable and its not like anyone could give a close to definitive idea without actually working for nintendo (or having an uncle that does) but i imagine there are many, many people who know more than i do about these kinds of things at least.
But I honestly don't think that's going to happen. The NS2 is already $150 more expensive than when NS1 launched, $100 more than when NS1 OLED launched. Granted it's only $50 more than NS1 OLED now, but that's overpriced.
Nintendo knows full well the quanity demanded decreases as price increases, and they're already walking a thin line. I do not think they'd have the guts to entertain a $500 base NS2. I just don't. I could be wrong, but I think they are going to be very resistant to any further price increases.
Instead, they'll subsidize those losses in other ways, such as eliminating any bundles, which we've already seen, and recouping expenses via higher NS1 prices and higher accessory prices, which we've already seen.
They may be a little more cavalier with their base console pricing model nowadays, but I don't think they're stupid. They know good and well how disastrous it would be to increase NS2 to $500, watch demand suddenly drop and not only have to deal with the bad PR and "Switch 2 is struggling" articles, but also likely have to do an about face and reverse the price to salvage the situation.

@JaxonH ...Do you still want to play Rise at some point? Dunno what else to do in it besides grinding anomaly quests, though...one day I'll get them up to 300 and see what these Special versions are all about...lol

To add to what @JaxonH said it's worth noting that the Switch 2 has less RAM and less flash storage than the PS5. And certainly less than the PS6 will have. Honestly the RAM prices mostly are hitting PCs where 32GB of system memory plus 16GB VRAM wasn't unusual, that's 4x the amount the Switch 2 has

@skywake
And as the PS6 is rumored to have what, 36 GB of RAM (even 24 GB for the handheld?), just imagine the effect these price increases will have on that system. I do not understand why they think a system needs that much RAM. I am a firm believer that 16 GB is sufficient for a console. Maybe you could argue 24 GB for the next generation hardware, but the handheld needing 24 GB? Stop it. That sucker would be just fine with 16.
And the rumored Xbox PC having 40 GB of RAM or some crazy number? The exorbitant excess RAM these companies are chasing is really going to bite MS/Sony in the rear end.
@Joeynator3000
Sure. I never played beyond Amatsu so, still some chunky content and quests remaining.

Even if RAM prices come back down to more reasonable levels, that still more than doubles the cost of RAM vs the PS5 Pro, and for Xbox it more than triples the cost vs Xbox Series S, and still 2.5x cost vs Xbox Series X.
And I don't think prices will come back down to baseline, tbh. They'll eventually peak and drop, but I think there will be a new, higher baseline.
And with XSX/PS5P already costing $650/830, and RAM costs increasing by a minimum of 2-3x compounded by increasing costs with regard to storage, GPUs, etc, I find it difficult to reconcile how they will establish prices within the realm of reason.

I promise I don't care what your voice is like! Come on, probably be good for you to socialize a bit.
I won't pressure you if you really don't want to, but... consider it, at least. It's just talking. Not like you've never spoken to other people in your life.
I'm downloading the game now.
