@Artonide
We don't know. It's possible they just didn't want to advertise it given many TVs aren't VRR capable.
The system supports VRR, obviously, since the screen itself supports VRR to take advantage of it (and G-sync specifically) so there's no reason to not support VRR when outputting a signal. I think it's just more legal precautions the lawyers advised them on.

So I've read the article about some games having start-up issues on the Switch 2 and around 20 games I own are on that list which is insane.
Do we truly believe that Nintendo will actually improve or fix the issues that arise during start-up or eventually while playing some games or is it just PR on their part?
I also have about 15% of games having compatibility issues, which is very high.
I like to buy Alien Isolation at some point, but that has issues too.....
this mightve been mentioned in an earlier post (recently the forums have been insane-o so im having trouble keeping up 😭), but a questions popped into my head! on backwards compatible games on switch 2, will your hours on the game transfer over to ur switch 2 profile? cause its the same account yknow 😸 im js curious cause i have a weird habit of looking at people i play with and friend’s hours for fun. DONT QUESTION ME. but just a minor detail ive been wondering abt. like i want to show off my 300 hours of animal crossing on the new nintendo system 😹😹😹

@OctolingKing13 I've been worried about that also. It's anyone's guess, really; I don't think we have that level of detail yet. I hope the time crosses over, but I also hope they change the time keeping system instead of the weird 'you first played this game 8 days ago'. My animal crossing is around 600 hours.
My Switch stopped keeping proper track of my playtime long ago. Whenever a game leaves my 20 most recent played, any playtime that wasn't within like two years or something gets completely forgotten.
I have switched systems so much I gave up on playtimes, since it kept resetting my times. I never do a profile transfer is why. But one thing I do like about the modded OLED is, because you can't go online on emuNAND it has an activity log that takes the place of the one you normally have and it counts your time down to the minute, and doesn't have that 10-day waiting period, and lets you pan through all your games to check your times, even offering a bar graph showing your most played titles.
But I don't expect NSW2 to be any different than NSW with regard to play times. I do think if you transfer your profile your times carry forward though.

@FishyS yeah, i agree with u abt the “first played 8 days ago” somehow my brain thinks every five hours is a milestone and so when i’m binging a game that’s always frustrating 😿 @Anti-Matter thats some commitment there, congrats! 😂 @Bentleyma when i had a playstation 5 for a year, the thing i loved was the playtime tracking and the trophies, it’s such a clever showcase of playtime. maybe nintendo will take some influence!

Prices remain unchanged except accessories which are manufactured in China. Surprisingly, they only increased prices by $5 on the joycon, pro controller and camera. Extra dock got a $10 increase. I can live with that. I was expecting $20 increases tbh.

So the shtick is that Nintendo are selling the Switch 2 consoles China assembled to countries other than the US. Not sure what percentage of consoles are produced between China and Vietnam. 4-to-1? Worse? Despite Nintendo's intentions to subvert scaplers and ebay flippers, seems to me that console demand is going to outweigh supply while the supply channel is bottlenecked.
@Magician Hopefully everyone throwing a tantrum about the prices follow through and skip the console at launch so those that are actually excited for the system have a better chance to grab one but somehow I doubt that.

Honestly I would say right now is a gamble in prices anyways. The whole tariffs thing is unpredicatble as heck. Buying anything expensive is at the chance of a lot of prices increasing in the future
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is all on a 64GB cart just like Cyberpunk 2077, and also works on Switch 1, automatically launching the correct version depending on which system it's played on. Perhaps all NSW2 Edition games also play on Switch 1. If so, that's a great bonus benefit.
I love Rune Factory but hated the graphics and performance of RF5. This entry seems much higher budget, looks gorgeous and will run great on Switch 2, and being a spinoff has more of an action combat focus which I like.
I'm gonna have to make this a launch day purchase.

@NintendoByNature I think it depends on your location. I'm going to try online with a few different stores. Sounds like each store could have around 100 in stock, so I'm not worried too much about it with my location. You could always call a few of the smaller places (not Gamestop/Best Buy) a few days before the preorders and see if they are going to be getting any in store, and the best way to preorder with them.
@NintendoByNature
I'm doing online. Walmart says they'll have your Switch 2 delivered June 5th if you preorder. And with their CC you can get 5% back. On a MKW bundle, extra joycon, charge grip, pro controller and camera thats $40 back after tax. Basically eliminates the tax (assuming your state tax is around 5% which here in Wisconsin, ours is 5.5%).
Oh man, my grand total is gonna be something else...
Nintendo Switch 2
Mario Kart World
Charge Grip
Joycon 2 (pair)
Pro Controller
Camera
Cyberpunk 2077
Street Fighter 6
Hogwarts Legacy
Yakuza 0
Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma
Fast Fusion
x2 1TB microSD Express cards (one for NSW2 games, the other for NSW1 games)
That's $1500 total after tax. Thanks to the two 1TB mSD Express cards being just $172.50/ea (MSRP $200/ea) on Amazon that saved $55, and the $380 worth of additional games ($400 after tax) is only $350 thanks to Raise eShop credit being 12% off, which I stacked up on.
Thats a LOT of money. But it's a new generation. New storage, new accessories, lots of games... it adds up.
But one could get just the MKW bundle for $500, skip the accessories, buy an additional game for $70 like Cyberpunk 2077, and a $170 1TB mSD Express (gotta have room for Switch 1 games that run better, with space left over for more Switch 2 purchases). That's $740, which is half my total. Even if someone is physical only (at least when physical is available) there's gonna be a lot of big games that aren't on cart or don't get a physical release at all. After Mario Kart and system OS, 4 big games will basically occupy the rest of the built-in storage. At the very least, people should grab a $50 256GB card. But if you want to future proof, you really should consider that 1TB on offer.
