Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

@FragRed If it makes you feel any better, I had other people tell me. I don't math well. For those not in the know, it's F-Zero!

@ElRoberico The latest tweet is incredibly easy to guess, at least the franchise. Also, yeah I have no idea how people worked that game out from the riddle but again, very clever people out there.

I saw Pyoro's tweet earlier on myself and, while I'm certainly still iffy on the trustworthiness of an individual who seemingly came out of nowhere around February to start spilling the beans (especially someone who's been around since March 2021 according to their profile), it's still interesting to imagine what the thing they're talking about could entail.

Now in regards to what they actually talked about, I personally think people viewing it as a sign of a brand new F-Zero are going to be pretty let down as what I think is the far more likely option (given how it's been rumoured for months on end even prior to today's developments) is a remaster of GX; Gamecube remasters have been all the rage lately with Metroid and Pikmin's announcements/releases, GX is widely regarded as the best entry in the series and I could see them using it as a metric of interest in a brand new F-Zero if it sells well enough. There's also the possibility we get a brand new F-Zero announced with GX Remastered released as a shadow-drop alongside the reveal but given the amount of years people have gone into Directs with a similar level of hope in regards to this series, this might just be wishful thinking 😅

@ElRoberico If that particular series is making a comeback I will...FLIP...OUT!😁

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but since the new Pokémon DLC arrives in the middle of next week, there's a good chance the direct will only happen later this month.

Both F-Zero and Donkey Kong!! in the same direct seems too good to be true but what is there to say against this leaker?
Let's hope they've not started abusing their power! (but I'm sure that's not the case)

Edit: Just remembered that DK64 isn't on NSO yet so there's still a good chance it could just be that. Hype reponsibly!

@Nintoz I've got a funny feeling that Pyoro is pulling a massive troll on us and the F-Zero announcement is actually Captain Falcon being made playable for MK8DX as part of the compulsory DLC slot.
Still cool but definitely not as cool.

Could you imagine someone just:

• getting up to start their day
• logging on here to quickly check some news
• seeing that the 'Next Nintendo Direct?' thread has been absolutely flooded with new posts
• thinking 'oh, did a Direct get announced?'
• clicking in....only to get greeted by everyone speaking in hushed whispers with spoiler tags galore XD

Pyoro has gone from that goofy bird thing in Wario to the scariest and most powerful being in the universe to any Nintendo nerds
