@VelvetElvis: @Octane: I think the My Nintendo stuff is the only reason to pre-register but I will also be using the app. I bet it will be fun.

@DefHalan: I don't think it's something for me. Doubt any of my friends will be using it, and I barely use facebook myself; social media apps aren't really my thing (baring apps like whatsapp). I'll check it out because it's free, but I mainly got it for the platinum coin.

@Octane: I remember thinking the same about the Streetpass Plaza, but that is my most played game now lol.

Yeah, I preregistered too.

Though initially just for the platinum coin, I'm oddly excited for it, and I honestly don't know why.

I'm curious to see how it plays out .

It is the month it will launch. When do people think it will launch? I am guessing the last week of the month.

I hate the fact that you may be right DefHalan, I hate to have to wait. I'm excited because I'm hoping it's everything we would have wanted. Nintendo has been very antiquated and I'm hoping they are moving forward.

@magnumc500: What are you hoping for? I know a lot of people were expecting more traditional gameplay, but Miitomo looks more like the social aspects of Streetpass Plaza rather than a "game."

Yes it's a social network, I saw that underage Nintendo members can't register for it so I imagine it will be an actual social network where I can reach out and message my friends online. Also the incentive program coming out seems to be a huge thing for me. I'd love it to be a new Nintendo club. Just a lot of hopeful things connected to it. I feel that maybe in the future you'll do voice chat on the NX with Miitomo as the voice chat catalyst as well. All speculative but it would be good if the new Nintendo Owner dishes it out.

I smell BS. They delayed the game, because they ''needed more time to advertise it''. Yet, a couple of months later and we know just as much as we did last year.

So in case you guys are unaware, Miitomo is on the top charts in Japan alone.

now I'm worried if this will make Nintendo focus more on mobile though and I know they constantly said that they will focus on dedicated gaming.

Eh, guess I'll look into it...maybe my family will get into as well. My family aren't really into the usual Nintendo stuff, so who knows.

I got an e-mail from Nintendo on my Nintendo Account e-mail and got so excited, but it was just their newsletter. Nothing new

I was hoping we'd get information on the Western launch at the Apple iPhone SE event, but it went down without a Miitomo mention.

I made the embarrassing choice to get a Windows phone and am on contract for it until November. Once I upgrade, I'm definitely in on Miitomo. Even though I'm not big on social media, this one has that Tomodachi-like quirk that I enjoy, and it looks like the Miifotos alone are worth the download (not to mention the My Nintendo rewards).

I am really hoping Miitomo comes out this Thursday.
