@Danksparce: Just putting this out there: it's possible to make a permanent instant invite link. Go to advanced settings, and set the expiration to never. Then it's one post and no need to ever update.
It doesn't really do anything other than ask questions of you and any friends you've got linked. You reply to questions and read and reply to your friends responses. That really is all there is. You can change your avatar's appearance by buying or winning clothes and accessories by using in-game earned credit. You can also complete "Missions" to earn rewards for the WiiU or 3DS - although these are pretty lean at the moment.
There are also some "mini-games" in the form of a Pachinko type machine where you drop Miis in the hope of landing on clothes and accessories - this really is the lamest part of Miitomo, other than the bugs.
Yep, the app can be really slooooooooooooow and buggy at times - if you can even get it to start. I've got 4 or 5 non-routed Android devices and it only works on one. I even have a brand new octa-core Android 6.0 Marshmallow phone that refuses to play ball with the app.
I specifically mentioned non-rooted phone above, because if your device is rooted, or has been Miitomo won't work (or that's the way it used to be). There are supposed work-arounds, but it's all a bit too much effort for what you get.
However, and this is important, it can be great fun reading friends' replies - I've LOL'd on numerous occasions to replies that can be very literal, totally lateral or so way out there you never saw it coming, but I only "play" it really to gain points for MyNintendo and in all honesty, if it wasn't a Nintendo product I would have dropped it ages ago.
Oh, and it really sucks the life out of your battery - even when the app isn't running and when you've turned off all notices and the battery saving option in the app.
Is anyone else having issues with Miitomo Drop? It keeps freezing randomly on me, although the music keeps playing. I don't think it ever did this for me before I updated the app....
Speaking of the update, I've noticed some frame rate dips after I updated Miitomo.
God first.

When I turned the battery saving option on in the app it doesn't drain my battery. One small issue I do have is that the miitomo notification is really quiet. Anyone else noticed this? I have an android devices if that makes any difference.
