Topic: Nintendo Music App

I'm thinking we are due for a Zelda soundtrack, as Mario will be next week. Majora's Mask or Link's Awakening seem most likely, but I could also see Echoes of Wisdom.

It's probably the rest of Splatoon 3's soundtrack, but for fun I'll guess My Pokemon Ranch

Or they mess with us and have no music today but have a Nintendo Music Mario drop at the end of the week.

Fresh in from left field, this week's addition is Golden Sun: The Lost Age! We were all pretty off lol

Another Golden Sun? I mean, I love the music of this series and will give this soundtrack a listen like always, but as @SplatRay001 said, two Golden Suns before a single Xenoblade is crazy 😵‍💫.

Anyone else think that the man in the Nintendo Music Shed at Nintendo Co. LTD's backyard is spying on this thread, and simply spiting us every week just to get a good laugh? 🤣

If we do get a Mario game next week, I do hope one of them is either Mario Sunshine or Mario 3D World.

As for this week, I never played the game so I should probably do that.

Eh I don’t really like the GBA soundtracks that try be all serious and epic.

Mainly due to the fact that GBA music is kind of… Bad in general.

I love that they did this. Everyone was so sure they would be going for something from two of their biggest IPs but they came out of left field with some love for one of their most cult series.
Never change Nintendo.

I do like these sorts of additions that are still worthy picks, but not what anyone guesses ahaha!

I do expect some big Mario drop next week though.

Well, it's the weekend again, so it's time to guess what the Nintendo Music Shed man has in store for us this week!

Since this drop will be 2-3 days after the 40th anniversary for Mario, I decided to look back at what Mario soundtracks are currently available on the app. The earliest mainline Mario that is missing is Super Mario Land (which happens to be from the Game Boy, which has only three games on the service) so that's my guess for this week. Since the game doesn't have many songs in it, the man in the Shed might choose to throw in its sequel, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden coins, as well.

@ShieldHero Galaxy 2 would make the most sense.

@FishyS, I did not think of that. Well, I'm not changing my guess now 🤣.

Still, the Shed man (I laughed after typing that name 🤣) often chooses options that don't make any sense at all... so watch him choose something left-field like Tingle's Rosy Rupee Land or something, lol.

My guess for this week is a Mario game like everyone else is saying, but I'm not really sure what; I think Galaxy 2 will be later on, either when they release the port or when the movie releases. I'm just gonna throw out a generic guess of 3D World.

But with how random the releases have been, I could definitely see the guy that they have locked in the music-ripping dungeon trolling us with something left-field and irrelevant 🤣

It might be a small soundtrack, but Super Mario Land's OST is absolutely killer. I would be totally happy even if we just got it by itself, and I don't think I'm alone on that. Although I would definitely prefer more at once lol

I'll also guess Super Mario 3D World. Surely, it's gotta be here this time... it's Mario's 40th, after all. We could see a bunch of other Mario soundtracks as well. Wouldn't that be lovely.

I'm predicting Mario Kart Wii this time, they've been aiming for a Mario Kart addition generally around every 2 months:

• Launch (late October) - MK8 Deluxe
• January - SMK
• May - MK7
• July - MK64

MK World would be the perfect SMB 40th anniversary celebration soundtrack but I don't think they'll add a full Switch 2 soundtrack so soon after launch which leaves Super Circuit/Double Dash/DS/Wii. DS fits November (the game's 20th anniversary) so I went for Wii for September.

They do seem to be specifically adding Mario soundtracks that are relevant to Mario Kart World, roughly half of the games represented on World's soundtrack are currently on Nintendo Music. It's also pretty noticeable how there are already 4 Mario Karts - note how, say, none of the Mario sports games are available yet. So I'm thinking that they're adding as many of the games represented on World's soundtrack as they can before they add World's soundtrack itself.
