Isn't she the one that said we'd have a direct friday? People are speculating Monday because that's when the maintenance is, but if we don't get an announcement for it tomorrow, then even that's not gonna happen. And the likelihood of a direct after the maintenance doesn't seem too favorable

@Operative: Yeah she was mostly guessing. I'm hoping we'll get a Direct on either Monday or at some point during the week. Whatever news Roger was teasing doesn't necessarily require a Direct though.

@Blast: If you're referring to her new modes tweet, she's talking about Splatoon, not Smash. I believe she's saying that the new update may have evidence of new modes that she'll get a preview of when she datamines it.

Small update on Monday's maintenance: Only Wii U and 3DS will be affected. Wii and DSi will still be fully operational.

How funny would it be if the only reason there's a maintenance is to get rid of all the datamined stuff like the TPHD logo so they can reveal it later, like next year?

Wii and DSi are barely functional anyway. There's not much left

Still no news of a Direct, unless they announce it within an hour of two after this post, I don't think we're getting any this month.

Yeah, I doubt any direct is coming. Whatever the maintenance is, it's probably just setting it up so that whenever they do introduce the new stuff, it'll be good to go. At the very least, perhaps we can look forward to what the data miners find after tomorrow is done with

I think that this week is too busy for a Nintendo Direct (Guitar Hero Live, Just Dance 2016, Dragonball Z, Fatal Frame, Triforce Heroes, Splatoon Update.) I definitely expect one the week after though, right before the investor meeting on October 29th. Right now I'm just hyped for Triforce Heroes.

We're not getting a Direct this year.
