I usually like playing the halloween/spooky levels in stuff like the Mario Games, Halloween activities in Animal Crossing, stuff like that, not really into proper scary games
Same.
As long cute spooky stuffs for kids like Yokai Watch, Halloween stuffs from Animal Crossing, etc.
@Themagusx1 I love Corpse Party! You won’t regret it.
For my games, I plan on finishing the Fatal Frame games, the Clock Tower Games, and replay Haunting Ground. I also plan to play the Remothered games despite how… much work they really need.
Not sure I'll get to much. October is a VERY busy month for me since I work in a local haunted house most weekends. I help with the builds, parades, and advertising too as my work and personal schedules both allow. Much of my free time is on the weekends anyway, so...no weekends, little gaming lol.
At the very least, I do plan on picking up Super Mario Bros. Wonder next month. And I may replay the short Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Heart of the Forest again. It's fun to see how the endings change. Last time I played was the first time I got a genuinely bad ending lol.
Currently playing: Dragon Quest I HD-2D Remake (Switch), Hades (Switch)
While I've generally been pretty low-key in terms of Halloween-themed gaming in recent years (only thing that really comes to mind right now would be playing Luigi's Mansion 2 for the first time around about October/November 2017), I'm going to be going full Halloween-mode this October with a spooky-esque game for each week of the month!
Week 1: Limbo (got it and Inside for €1 each during an eShop sale last year but never got around to actually playing through them due to my Switch needing to be sent off for repairs around that exact timeframe. Been waiting for another opportunity to play them and, with the spooky month fast approaching, there doesn't appear to be a better time than now)
Week 2: Devil May Cry 2 (trust me: I know about DMC2's legacy. I am fully aware that I am probably not going to have a particularly fun time playing through it in the slightest. THAT BEING SAID.... I'm going to have to get it out of the way at some point if I want to play EVERY DMC game available and sandwiching it inbetween some (hopefully) much better games? It sounds pretty good to me)
Week 3: Inside (see Week 1)
Week 4: Dead Space (I really want to end the month on a high note and I don't think there could be a better choice for the game I'll most likely be playing around Halloween night than Dead Space (the PS3 original, not the remake). I've wanted to play DS for the longest time as the atmosphere was utterly enrapturing to me (even as an onlooker) and, after finally managing to pick it up on the cheap on a daytrip to Dublin last month, I'm incredibly excited to finally see what it's all about since I somehow still haven't been spoiled on it yet)
I've also got a bunch of smaller games I want to try and tackle inbetween that also fit the Halloween vibe (namely Castlevania 1&2, Alone In The Dark GBC and Madworld) so yeah: got a pretty stacked Halloween ahead of me gaming-wise 😈

@Fizza Limbo is a great game, but I would consider it more of a cute puzzle platformer game than a 'Halloween' game. I suppose there are spiders.🤔 And it is slightly gory but the art style makes it not really. I have an extremely low tolerance for scary games but Limbo was no issue.
Just played the Before the Night demo. Pretty scary both in terms of jump scares and also disturbing mood/setting/plot. Especially for a game about bunnies. The full version is a bit pricier than I want, but the demo is good if anyone wants a short experience.
Ended up buying, and playing Heaven Dust II. Already 2.5hrs in and I can tell it's alot more polished than the first game. I haven't had a dull moment yet and it's been chocked full of puzzles and enemies.
I just finished RE8, and heaven dust 2 a few days ago. Honestly, I might take it easy with the horror games for a bit and wait for a week or two. Maybe ill get alan wake 2 at the end of the month, we'll see. I could always go back to my SotN playthrough since I didn't get that far.
Think I'm gonna play Apogee's classic PC game, Monster Bash, again this year. Really enjoyed playing it last year, think I'll enjoy it again this year.
Also, I need to check Apex, I always enjoyed their Halloween events.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@Sunsy
This year and last you mentioned Monster Bash, but I only know that title as one of my favorite pinball tables - Monster Bash by Williams, a late 90s pinball machine generally regarded as one of the best ever made. It features the classic Universal Studios monsters like Drac, Wolfman, Frankenstein’s Monster and his Bride. They’re all members of a rock band. You have to repeat shots to get the band back together and hold a MONSTERS OF ROCK concert! The pin is included in Pinball FX3 on Switch, so I’ll play a little this October (also, their Creature from the Black Lagoon table).
If I’m really feeling the spooky pinball vibe I may fire up The Pinbsll Arcade on my Wii U or PS3 where I have Scared Stiff (featuring Elvira, Mistress of the Dark), The Addams Family, or Haunted House.
I hope you have a suitably fun and creepy time with your Monster Bash too! 🎃

Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance for my Gamecube
@Teksetter Thanks, hope you have fun with your Monster Bash pinball table. Pretty neat that it's inspired by the classic monsters.
This is Monster Bash. Well, this is the trailer to the HD version, I have the DOS original wrapped with DOSBox.
It's a PC platformer, but the premise is you play as Johnny Dash. His dog Tex and the neighborhood pets got kidnapped by the evil Count Chuck (Dracula), and the monster under the bed tells Johnny about Chuck's plan, and sends him on a quest to save the pets and Tex. It has a lot of creepy themes in it and it's fitting for Halloween.
Thanks for that description, @Sunsy - your PC Monster Bash looks like a fun game perfect for playing around Halloween! I love those names - Count Chuck must be a fearsome adversary for Johnny Dash. 😁
Since you were kind enough to post a trailer for your MB, I thought I’d return the favor - here is a quick video overview of Monster Bash pinball, with a taste of the game’s music: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=H4b8DewWWog
And if you’re feeling brave, here is the original (cringearific) marketing video from back in 1998. The funny characters call outs are the best part: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4_eSu-Mkzfk
