Topic: Your Halloween Gaming Delights

Figured out what ill play this Halloween. I'll start off with RetroRealms Halloween since I played Ash Vs Evil Dead last year, then ill move onto castlevania order of ecclesia after since I never started it.

@NintendoByNature I didnt realize that was out yet. If I get time I will have to check it out as Halloween is my favorite horror franchise.

@Tasuki yea, its been out since last year and I only played 1 of the 2 games. Good time to jump back in.

Recently I thought of coming back to Mario Party Superstars this Halloween... because it has Horror Land in it! It's been a little while since I last played it, too. I'm also hoping that the first Luigi's Mansion comes to Nintendo Classics this month. I miss playing that game and I've not played it in a long time.

So 2 out o3 games for my Halloween gaming are done. I finished Resident Evil 4 on the Wii Last night and Castlevania Symphony of the Night last week. I am not sure if I will get to Silent Hill F as I wanted to finish it by Halloween so I might save that for next year. I havent decided yet. Also part of me wants to get back to Borderlands 3 more and wrap that game up.

With Halloween being seven days from now, I've been in a Castlevania mood lately... I'll be playing at least some of the games on Castlevania Anniversary Collection since I'm more in the mood for the classics, lol. I played a bit of Castlevania 1 recently. I know how hard these games get, that's for sure... but I still have fun with them.

I'm happy to see that Luigi's Mansion is indeed coming to Nintendo Classics on October 30, so that will definitely be the game I'll be playing on Halloween. Really excited to revisit it since it's been so long since I played it.

either im procrastinating big time or that Halloween week next week is coming real fast. i need to start on replaying resident evil remake for my gamecube again along with replaying resident evil code veronica for next month anyway

Went ahead and collected all the pumpkins in Pizza Tower for the Halloween event on my way to 100% completion. It was honestly a lot of fun trying to find them because they aren’t hidden in excessively difficult places, and the trick or treat level wasn’t as hard as I heard it would be. The ghost’s rubber banding is actually really fun to exploit once you know it’s there and the level itself isn’t too long. A nice breezy thing to put a few hours in this Halloween if you’re looking to get back in to the game. Will do my best to start on Luigi’s Mansion tomorrow.

We’re back, everyone. I’m pretty deep in fortunes weave, but since that’ll probably take up all of my October, I wanted to play a smaller spooky title. Decided on Luigi’s Mansion for a replay on NSO

Animal Crossing New Horizons, when I take photoshoot at Harv island with spooky narrative screenshots.

I always like the idea of playing a spooky game in October, but never really get around to doing it, besides maybe a quick run of Five Nights at Freddy's. I doubt I'll get anything of the sort this year as I have to get through my backlog. Maybe Metroid Dread is spooky enough?

Was playing some spooky classics last night. Super Castlevania, Night Slashers, and Vampire Savior.

Although since this is a Nintendo website, a lot of the GOTY discussion will be complaining about how GTA6 is overrated 😆 I suspect people here will quite like Castlevania.

As long as I make some decent progress in fire emblem I’ll grab belmonts curse. I kinda want to replay RE3 on switch too

Have you checked out this latest early to mid 90's-something inspired PC-like Survival horror? The live action sequences instantly caught my attention and almost made me feel like I was transported back to 1996 ala' Resident Evil 1 all over again.

This is at the top for my Halloween delights this year. It drops on Oct 16 on all platforms. Still need to play through Splatterhouse: HD Rumble Edition(Namco Museum Arcade Collection) & Curse of the Moon 2 for this October Halloween, unless I can sequeeze a couple more in the mix if all 3 don't manage to overstay their welcome! I'm thinking maybe Blood Fresh: Supply, which I hear is another quality optimized for current times, Boomer shooter with hopefully tip top Gyro aiming.

Going to be playing Castlevania Belmont's Curse of course which is probably no surprise. If I have time might do my yearly play through of SotN.

For TTRPG my group is doing a high level Ravenloft campaign which I am really excited about.

I need to get on Night Slashers already. I've got the Johnny Turbo's Arcade Version on NS1. I don't think they're available anymore on the eShop. I'm pretty selective when it comes to beat em' ups these days, and I really need to be in the mood for them. But NS, thematically just looks awesome. Plus zombies.

i've also got TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind(After the slew of updates it's no longer a let down I hear.), and a few Neogeo/Arcade - Arcade Archive 90's beat em ups i have yet to tackle, including Mutation Nation, Sengoku 2(etc) and a bunch stacked within the Capcom Arcade Stadium 1&2 and beat em up Bundle.

@WaveBoy Yeah it's good you grabbed the Johnny turbo Night Slashers when it was available. The remake that came out last year is just not nearly as good. It's lacks the charm of the original pixel art. But yeah, one of my favs. I'm honestly surprised there aren't more beat'emups that have a horror theme, it's such a perfect Mashup.

Mutation Nation is solid, and Sengoku 3 is my fav from that series. Arcade Stadium 1 has Armored Warriors which is amazing. Beat'emup with giant mechs, what's not to love. Still waiting for Capcom to port Aliens VS Predator.
