It's not a game over as such, but if you play Mario Kart 64 battle mode, lose & become a bomb kart, & then run into someone with invincibility then you just cease to exist. That was quite bizarre & irritating.
Showing your friends how awesome WarioWare:Snapped is after having it work perfectly all day....And it games over because the camera doesn't work properly. Adding loss of respect and embarrasment to failure.
On WSR, there is two things I hate: 1. When you're cycling on that last track (Maka WuHu) gliding between all those people in 6th place, going strong around that corner and then... SCREECH the banana makes you fly into a wall and go in to 11th, so you sprint only to run out of breath 2 seconds before finishing and end up in 26th. 2. Sword fighting. When you are blocking every attack, it says you aren't because the dam CP is cheap shotting and you fall off the edge. And when the "you lose" screen comes up and your poor Mii is standing there with his head down and soaking wet. That makes me wanna go punch someone so they fall off that ledge into spikes. I get angry very easily BTW.
I hate when i saved and quit on Banjo-kazooie it was a game over with grunty laughing at you and looking at Banjo newly grossed out sister it was tourture
When I was a kid, Yoshi's Story's game over made me feel like crap every time. Definetly the worst for me.
Although I have to give an honorable mention to Fatal Labrynth, a old Genesis dungeon crawler. When you got a game over in it, the game would show a picture of your funeral. Now, the amount of gold you found through the dungeon would determine how many people would show up to it. But in the context of the story, you are trying to save your village from... well, I think it was a dragon that resided in the dungeon that terrorized the village. But it got me to thinking: you put your life on the line to save these people, and they'll only show up to your funeral if they're paid? It kind of depressed me a bit.
The worst game over I ever encountered was in Chrono Trigger when you lose against Lavos. You recieve a bad ending where Lavos destroys the world. It is like the game is rubbing my defeat in my face!
