Since I've posted my most beloved and most hated already thought I might as well mention the one I'm most neutral on FFX I found it hard to say whether I really liked this one or not, sphere grid and battle system where all good; music was..... interesting I'd say the story was also kinda interesting not great not bad; the characters I didn't feel where at all interesting; I couldn't stand the main character Tidus at all he was FFVIII kinda levels of annoying character wise to me, so despite being a technically good game feature wise the lack of investment I could put in the characters emotionally just stopped it from being anything other than an ok game in my eyes.
I feel the same way for the most part, except I'd say Auron was a very interesting character. Pretty much made the game bearable for me, especially after the game started to drag on way past the point of being necessary. It's one of my least favorite FF games, but that's like saying it's one of my least favorite flavors of Ice cream.
IV is the bestest. Not too complicated, but it still had a really fun and deep battle system. Random encounters were too often though. >:[
Fun yes, but deep? There was barely anything to it from what I remember. You had to keep track of elements, but that's it. Also, the story was pretty complicated, even if the game wasn't.

I actually liked most of the supporting characters in X, although I'd agree that Auron was the most interesting cast member, but the two leads (especially Yuna) did almost nothing for me, and their voices probably didn't help. Tidus' big plot twist was one of favorites in the series, though. Overall, I enjoyed my time in Spira and with the battle system, sphere grid and blitzball. I'd probably rank it somewhere in the middle of all the FF games I've played.
VIII is in pretty firm position as my least favorite, though. For all the things I thought it did right - killer soundtrack, nice character and visual design, interesting setting, Triple Triad, pretty much everything involving Laguna - the (almost impressively) uninteresting party members, the dumb major back-story reveal involving them all midway through the game and the draw/junction system (and, by extension, the battle system itself) killed it for me.
Final Fantasy VI The more story-driven FF games tend to focus primarily on a single lead character, but Final Fantasy VI doesn’t have just one lead It has 12 of them. Plus, every character is a very distinct entity with their own unique skills, personality, and quirks. Not to mention It balances out the difficulty perfectly other final fantasy games feel too easy(FF2) or or way too hard(final fantsy iv ds)

Sorry but in VI once you have ultima the game is cake. Plus those economizers that reduce mp to 1 can make the game super easy as well. VI I always felt was one of the easier ones.

I never learned ultima besides you could really say any rpg is easy if you grind enough(which you have to do in order to learn ultima) The bosses in final fantasy iv ds were insane especially compared to other versions of ffiv. and beside to me there is a fine line between easy and too easy and imo final fantasy vi never crossed that line hell i had to quite a bit to beat a few bosses. But the ammount i had to grind wasn't really that bad it was less then some ff games sure but it was enough to keep the game challenging imo.

That's not even a fraction of the "exploits" you can use to make this game super easy. It really is the easiest FF game.
I like the series in general but Final Fantasy VI is my favourite game in the series. Mostly because of Kefka and the many many different characters you can use. I actually like XII a lot too and I even thought XIII wasn't that bad.

Oh I know man. Even before that there is the invis/doom trick that works on a large portion of bosses and enemies in the game.
