I've probably posted in this thread at some point given it was created before I joined here. Which is saying something. But I don't usually post in these kinds of threads so there's a chance I haven't

Pretty self explanatory. Basically I joined here because I was forum shopping. Before here I was on a band forum that died after the band broke up. I did a bit of forum shopping before landing here. My Avatar was a bit of a rush job because, meh, how long will this forum last? Forums were dying left and right around the late 2000s because of the rise of Facebook

For my Avatar I took a sprite from Super Mario Kart, one of my favourite games of all time, and ran it through some artistic filters on GIMP to make it look less like a sprite and more like, well, something someone had painted. Fairly sure I also cranked up the contrast so the lines were easier to pick out. Why Bowser? Well, anyone who has got any good at Super Mario Kart knows the only two characters you ever pick are Bowser or DK Jr. Because they have the max top-speed, huge advantage. Why Bowser over DK Jr? Well, it's DK Jr, it isn't DK. How lame is DK Jr? Bowser, every day

I've considered changing it over the years but at this point I've had it for so long it seems wrong to change it

@GalaxicGlobe Ah yes. It’s a theme of mine, I love the color and the character I based this username off of and was my older pfp for a long while. I just kinda wanted to always keep the sense of the theme so I didn’t always have to keep the same character as my pfp. Yeah I know it’s really convoluted for no lol.

As for the drawing I drew with her original colors first and then added the purple later.

My icon is no longer something I made on Switch, it’s a green fox head in front of a cherry blossom flower. The green fox is my furry species and the cherry blossom is my favorite plant.

It's Mallow... just Mallow

The main characters of Secret of Mana in craft/stiched form. It will forever be the best/most special game to me. Another reason is I used the name 'Duran' from Seiken Densetsu 3 (aka Trials of Mana) in 2 forums that meant a lot to me growing up and felt very at home there.

I think it was called TGN. It was associated with the publishing company that made certain gaming magazines in the early 2000s like CUBE. When that eventually closed down, a core group from there made their own forum and we carried on in there.

Anyway, it was a special time and there were people I really liked and cared about. I can't remember what happened next other than a disinterest in life and gaming in connection to depression. Just faded away from it. I did get a Wii and Wii U, but could go months without playing. Just didn't care or could engage that much.

Many years later, eventually felt better/interested enough in gaming to try joining a forum again many years later.

Anyway, that is far too much information than anyone could care to know! What I meant to say was carrying on the Mana monkier in some form made sense I guess.

Just changed my profile pic back to Mario. I love New Horizons and my coffee pic, but I haven't been playing that game too much so I went back to my favorite character.

The character in my avatar is Conker, who comes from a somewhat niche N64 game called Conker’s Bad Fur Day, which I’d say is one of my all-time favorites though it has pretty bad controls because of its age and is a tad bit raunchy and juvenile, though it really didn’t bother me at all. It isn’t a big game since it sold poorly upon release.

The picture is from a moment near the end of the game and the outfit he is wearing is a reference to The Matrix. The parody the game does of the film is both cool and hilariously stupid, and the game is full of more film references and parodies since it had more of a focus on cinematic elements and story. I actually took the picture on my phone when I was watching a playthrough of the game on YouTube, so it looks sort of stretched out lol. My past two avatar pictures were of Conker as well!

EDIT: Ok, now my avatar picture is of Banjo from Banjo-Kazooie, specifically from that Smash reveal trailer from a few years ago. I actually went on the Smash Wiki and had to screenshot the picture instead, but I accidentally included a grey bar on the right side of the picture, so I had to fix it! That was downright embarrassing when I realized it…Anyway, I love changing my avatar picture so much lol
