Topic: What Samus Aran do you think of?

when I think of Samus, I think of Samus in Other M, Not because it shows Samus in a vulnerable state and i'm into that, No not at all, It's because it shows the most human side of Samus I've seen yet and it really helped me like her Character more (Minor Note:I haven't played Metroid Prime alot so if it somehow characterizes Samus better than Other M i'm sorry, I'm just ignorant to the Prime series)

So what Samus Aran do you think of? (Minor Note 2: I've never been good at making Topics in forums so please forgive me if it stinks)

I think of the empty shell from Prime who basically has no personality of her own, and certainly no actual character development. The character who wasn't really a character at all. I'd still take that over Other M Samus any day.

Metroid Fusion's Samus. Don't know why.

I'll take any other Samus than the one I saw in Other M. I don't like seeing a crybaby who is Adam's slave.

Prime/Other M. Prime because it shows that's she can be a killing machine, and Other M because it also shows that she's HUMAN. >_>

The one from other M, and I haven't even played the game, but I saw all the videos from that game as a "movie" like, three times already.

I also like the way it is so related to the only other 2 Metroid games I have played seriously (2 and Fusion).

Yeah, I think of Other M Samus. While I believe that she can be a one woman planet buster, it was nice to see what she thinks and feels. Many people who criticize this aspect, I feel, haven't played the game and are parroting complaints, or they just didn't get it.
P.S. Prime Samus had little to no character. It doesn't do a better character job than Other M.

I believe the reason that the Metroid Prime interation of Samus had little dialog and character development was because the player was supposed to fill in that role. Because it's in the first person perspective, it gives you the feeling of going on that adventure yourself. I had fun adding narration to the story and reacting to various events. It may or may not be why she was virtually silent, but that's the impression I got.
BTW I usually think of the Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Samus.

Sure, you could argue that, but it still doesn't make the character herself very compelling...

@Jon_Talbain I never said that Prime Samus was compelling, or more compelling than Other M Samus. I like Other M Samus, but I think of Prime Samus because I have had more experience with the Prime series.

I'll say Fusion Samus, because that was the first Metroid I've played.

Just Samus, really. It's the same Samus in all of the games, they just show different sides of her. Super Metroid and Metroid Prime showed the badass Samus and Fusion and Other M gave some more insight to her character. When i think of Samus in terms of design i usally think of the Varia Suit and the SSBB design when i think of the Zero Suit design.
