Just finished Heretic episode two on Heretic + Hexen. Having played the original Heretic recently, the remaster threw me for a loop. A good chunk of the second episode had different layouts in some spots, and even different graphics. It really feels like a remaster rather than a port. Had a good time playing through the second episode again, it felt fresh with some of the changes made to it.

Been playing the Sonic Racing CrossWorlds open network test this morning. Loving the game so far. Really like how in the grand prix, the final race is a combo of all three previous tracks, and tried a few other tracks online.
Can't get the game right away, but there's always Christmas.

Still banana slammin' through Donkey Kong Bananza. I wanted to power up DK some more, so before going to the next area, I explored the previous worlds for more banana gems and fossils. Not all of them though, I just wanted to find as much as I could to the best of my ability. I did make it to my next area afterward. (Bonus level spoiler) Loved the DKC2 bramble bonus level... they even remixed the Stickerbrush Symphony theme!
I do have a critique with the game, however. When you're about to throw a chunk of the terrain, I don't like the gyro aiming because I would tilt the controller in one direction, only for the reticle to go in the opposite direction. It just doesn't feel right. Anybody else have that problem, or is it just me? Perhaps there's a setting I should change or something. Another critique, which is small, I didn't like the default controls, either. I did change them so that I'd jump with B, and forward punch with Y, and that felt better to me.

@MarioVillager92 I didn't notice you could make motion control aiming with a crosshair until halfway into the game 😆 I was just eyeballing it. That said, aiming works normally for me but I am playing docked. I heard someone say your issue only happened if you played at certain angles handheld... this sounds like it might be an actual bug.
Agree about the B button. I feel like Nintendo sometimes has a button aesthetic which takes precedence over the actual best controls. At least they made it easy to swap.
Back to The Sims 4 PS4 after I bought Business & Hobbies DLC.
I still try to make some small business combination from the available activities assignments.
I already made Small Gym business, Tutor house business, still trying other possibilities.
@MarioVillager92 never had this issue with the gyro…maybe check your controller? How is it in other games?
I personally think the controls are really intuitive once you wrap your head around A being for jump. The location of the buttons relating to the direction of punches just makes sense. That said it does take some minor adjustment when switching between games as B is often the standard.

have you played bananza upside down lying down? There is a reddit game claiming the gyro is only messed up in that position and that other games like Splatoon don't mess up in that position.

Aha, that might be it... the last time I played the game, it was in handheld mode. I'd lay down while playing it. I'll have to play in docked mode next time.
@Buizel I hope nothing's wrong on my end... I was playing in handheld mode last time so I'll try to play in docked mode. I don't recall having any issues in Splatoon 3, but unfortunately I can't remember if I was using the included joy-cons or not.

Basically just playing Dragon Quest XI S Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition and Super Mario Maker 2, as well as the occasional Smash Ultimate, Pokémon Violet (for mystery gifts and Union Circle with a friend), and Tetris 99 (mostly just for Maximus Cups) until Christmas. Also my usuals, Pokémon Sleep and TCG Pocket. I have a physical copy of Kirby and the Forgotten Land that has been sitting there practically unstarted for ages, so I might be restarting that in the near future.

@FishyS@Buizel OK, I just played in docked mode with the joy-con 2 grip, and it worked totally fine. It only did that while playing in handheld mode in a laying down position.

Started playing through Ace Attorney 2: Justice for All last week. Just started the 4th case. The first case was ok but a bit contrived and boring. The second case was really good, and the third case… certainly does feature incredibly gross character dynamics, along with boring gameplay and story. Hoping the 4th case picks up the slack

Played more Sonic Racing CrossWorlds open network test on Switch this afternoon, online races because it is a network test after all, though I did the one grand prix race yesterday. Finally got to race on the Apotos and Metal Harbor tracks. Loving what I'm playing so far, and more excited for the game now. Been playing as Amy, since I main her in other Sonic racing games, or just Sonic games in general.
Every Saturday evening, I play a classic PC game and have some chocolate milk. Just anything from the 90's or early-to-mid 2000's. Tonight played Jagged Alliance from 1995, cleared two sectors and earned an "outstanding" rating from it.
@Sunsy, that chocolate milk tradition sounds lovely! I love chocolate milk more than white milk, it's one of my favorite drinks ever. Makes me want to start a tradition like that myself 🤔.

Started Suikoden 2 tonight. Didn't do much really. Met the main character and did some stuff around town. Got some party members and about to take on the first major challenge.

Last day of the Sonic Racing CrossWorlds open network test. I was racing on extreme gear and doing stunts.
Close enough, welcome back Sonic Riders.
@ShieldHero Indeed it is, it's one of my favorite things to do on a Saturday night. Usually just mix up a nice mug of Nesquik and just spend the evening playing a classic PC game.

I just completed Deadly Premonition 2 tonight, after getting distracted during my initial playthrough a couple of years ago, and absolutely loved finishing it over the last few days! The janky performance is definitely improved on Switch 2, and while I couldn’t really be bothered with the side quests, the main story kept me riveted until the end this time
