Topic: What Game(s) are You Currently Playing?

I'm playing Mega Man X7!

I played some more Donkey Kong Bananza, and I just made it to my next area. I have a tendency to go off the beaten path and look for bananas and fossils, lol.

Also been playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Only one bug left for the museum, which is a flea, but I haven't been finding it. I also played a bit of Happy Home Paradise and designed my 20th vacation home.

I also started Wario Land 4 (via NSO's GBA app). It's been a long time since I played it on the 3DS ambassador program, and I did finish the first three games a while back. Having a good time with it already... especially since I didn't like WL3 too much.

@Sunsy @ShieldHero I actually ended up getting chocolate milk recently... it is a good drink for sure. I do like it more than the regular kind as well.

Tales of Symphonia (Steam) - Arrived in the second world not too long ago and have had some pretty major party shakeups recently (lost two & gained two). Left Meltokio & arrived at some other town across a long bridge. It's been a pretty nice comfort food JRPG so far.

Forza Horizon 5 (PS5) - working my way up the rankings in the Hot Wheels DLC, so I'm almost done with everything I'm all that interested in. Been playing it all summer & have had a blast, but I'm getting the itch to move on (will probably play Silent Hill F or Ninja Gaiden 4 next, if the latter is out by the time I'm done).

Fantasy Life I PS5.
Right now I have opportunity to farm the Mysterious Slate from Treasure Grove which have a lot of Shadow Monsters over there.
I just simply hunt almost all of them and left at least 1 monster to be unfinished then I quit from Treasure Grove so I can return on the same place and repeat the farming Mysterious Slate again.

Peglin (Switch)
Really enjoying this one. I've beaten it quite a few times now and keep coming back for another run. The secret to a successful run is usually the relic that turns the black bombs into red ones (4x more damage) - used in combo with the 2x bomb damage and/or the single-hit bomb ignition relics makes you so overpowered. On my last successful run I had all 3 of those and beat the final boss in 1 turn!

Cotton 2 (Switch)
Haven't quite started this one yet, but the cart is in and ready to go. I read this had some performance issues at launch, but hopefully it's been out long enough that there have been some improvements by now. Played the Cotton Reboot a while back and enjoyed that, so hoping this is decent too.

Played a bit more of Suikoden II. My thoughts are in the main Suikoden thread. I also, due to Borderlands 4 coming out here soon got back into Borderlands 3. Hopefully I can finish both games by the time BL4 comes out.

Played more of Bananza, and I think I'm getting closer to the end now... it was cool seeing Diddy and Dixie in the racing area, and I liked hearing that DK64 music during the Rambi race. Also got the Snake Bananza, and looks like that's the last one.

Just started Kirby and the Forgotten Land (Switch 1) a few days ago, finished up the first world this afternoon. I had originally started it back in 2022 and made it to the second world, but ended up putting it on hold to focus on other games like the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, then kind of just forgot about it 🤣. Since I'm in no rush to beat Dragon Quest XI, I have a small gap in my gaming schedule set aside, and since I'm not buying any new games right now, I thought I might as well restart and beat this one.

Really like the Alice in Wonderland season going on in Disney Speedstorm, so decided to treat myself to the Golden Pass and unlocked Alice. Currently made it to tier 10, and leveled Alice up to 20, a two star racer. Alice so far is a really good racer, and the Wonderland track is amazing.

Also, for classic PC gaming tomorrow night, currently planning to play Slipstream 5000. Been wanting to play that futuristic racer for a while.

So I'm about 31 hours into Elden Ring, and it has been a solid experience so far. I'm liking the various ways you can approach combat here, but honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of how often it feels like a guide is necessary 😅

I'm not sure how far into the game I am, but there have been a handful of times when I'd be following a guide and think to myself, "How on earth was I supposed to know that?"

After finishing Donkey Kong Bananza, I went back to Mario Kart World. Been playing Free Roam mode and made quite a bit of progress. I'm getting closer to finding every question panel and I'm getting as much P-switches and Peach medallions as I can find. Also been playing online races, and the competition is getting tougher for me. The highest ratings I got for both regular races and Knockout Tour were about 8100.

More Disney Speedstorm. Progressing through the Alice in Wonderland golden pass quite well, already more than half-way through it. Currently, made it to tier 28, the highest tier is 50. As for Alice, she is currently leveled up to 31, she's turning into a pretty fast racer. Also, unlocked Baloo tonight.

Nothing really significant, I kind of got lazy playing Happy Tree Friends: Deadeye Derby, (Mobile) also because third boss is WAY too hard for me to battle with only half of the upgrades and the stage obstacles are annoying, so I kinda gave up on it. I do wanna complete it at some point but the microtransactions and grinding in that are annoying. Still playing Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! (Mobile), and after some time, I’ve now FC’d 150 songs on Master! Very proud of myself for that one, and I think Master is super addicting lol.

However, I started a new game yesterday called Acecraft: Sky Hero (Mobile). Ive heard of this maybe since June through short ads, & didn’t think much about it, but I decided to give it a shot out of curiosity and I really liked the look of it, and it’s really fun! In the game you play as a pilot and fight off rouges of enemies in the sky using your aircraft and getting special abilities and ammunition through each wave. This got compared to Cuphead, mainly through them both having gunplay, & the biggest of all, a 1930s rubberhose style, but I think it’s not really that similar to it!

The gameplay is very addicting, distinct and is a rougelike, and I heard someone described it as being more akin to a bullet hell game (think Touhou). The gameplay is very easy to learn, and the gameplay is a bit fast too; all you have to do is move your pilot around to shoot and dodge some enemies.

For a mobile game, they put in a really good amount of effort into the animation and art style! They could’ve gone the cheap route like what some mobile developers do, but they didn’t! Like Cuphead, Acecraft replicates the 1930s cartoon style so perfectly in both the look and movement. The character designs for the enemies are creative (as well as the way they attack) and the animal pilots look charming and adorable, but I especially like their little animations on the main menu. It’s so good, especially since I like older cartoons. Only issue I have is the microtransactions. While the game did give me a lot of goodies and gacha tickets already, the gacha mechanic makes it hard to get better pilots and upgrades, which will be vital to later stages, and the upgrade requirements seem a bit annoying, but I like it so far. And a fun fact, did you know this game has Tom & Jerry as pilots? I only found this out when I was downloading it! Very cool that this game will likely have more collaborations with older cartoon series in the future.

Making great progress on the Disney Speedstorm golden pass, made it to tier 41 tonight. Only 9 more tiers to go before the golden pass is done. As for Alice, she's now at level 36, making her my highest level racer so far.

I finally decided on Season One "Search & Recover" DLC in Snowrunner (Switch). After I did the Season 9 "Renew & Rebuild" which is dealing with the aftermath of wildfires, I wanted to get back to a "snow" setting so I can bust out the chain tires again. I've only been able to put in a short time with it, and I can already tell this one will be another pain in the @ss. Bring it on nature, you wild b#tch!

I'm also slowly getting through Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker (Switch). On Episode 3 now. I'm really enjoying the game but not fully sure I'll get the Mario Odyssey DLC. We'll see.

I started playing YIIK I.IV, which is a massive update/retry of controversial indie RPG YIIK: A Postmodern Adventure. Like it has a bunch of new stuff even early on, including an entirely different combat system. It's pretty wild.

So far I'm not sure entirely how to feel, but...its already clear one of their decisions is they will put as many interesting visuals in this game as humanly possible. How much is too much? Maybe never! Put in all the visuals. Every visual we can.

Completed the Alice in Wonderland golden pass in Disney Speedstorm this morning. I've played a few battle passes for a few F2P games over the years, Disney Speedstorm had the best progression. Unlike the one I did in Paladins, it didn't feel like a chore and completed it in two weeks. I collected all 50 tiers, and can enjoy the rest of the season.

Also, Alice is now a level 41 racer. She's not only my first four star racer, but now my fastest racer in the game. I unlocked her best suit and car design from the pass.

Just completed my museum in Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Let's go! Took me a little while... but I finally did it.

Also came back to Donkey Kong Bananza. I'm doing the postgame right now, where I gotta do the bananza rehearsals in hopes of Pauline getting to make a new song idea. I only have one rehearsal left, which is the snake one.

@D-Star92, congratulations on getting all the bugs! Last I checked, I have around half of them and I can't be bothered to find the rest, at least not right now. It's een several months since I last played ACNH, I bet my island is full of weeds right now 🤣.

@ShieldHero Thanks! I now have all the bugs, fish, sea creatures, and artwork. I happened to get all the bugs last. Really happy it's all complete! I do want to play more of Happy Home Paradise, I've finished my 20th home last time I played. It happens to me as well... I would take a hiatus from ACNH and I would see weeds all over the place, lol.
