@Kermit1 Is it odd if I say I do this too, it’s just such a great space to think, maybe put some music through your ear buds headphones whatever as well, which bring me to! This comment is sponsored by raycon…

@Snatcher The bathroom is such an interesting place, you can light a candle and "boom" it's a spa, or sit in the dark thinking deeply about life while thinking you're going to die thanks to Taco Bell.
I seem to have lots of unpopular opinions but have generalized to save me writing too much. I am a Nintendo fanboy. So therefore most of my opinions will be based from that standpoint and therefore are pretty unpopular even on this nintendo fan site.
Link to the past is the most overrated Zelda game. I get what it did for the series. I get that the series wouldn’t be the same or possibly not exist without it. But that doesn’t mean it hasn’t and can’t be surpassed. The game just doesn’t feel fun to play. Movement is stiff and the dungeons just throw a bunch of enemy’s on the screen instead of relying on actual puzzles. Plus the characters just feel bland. Compare the seven maidens to the Seven Sages in a link between worlds. The sages all look unique and have some importance to the story other than helping seal Gannon. Meanwhile the maidens are bland and don’t feel important. I have tried to play the game on three occasions and I just couldn’t do it. It was boring and felt like a chore to get through.
Currently playing: Pokemon Soul Silver, Mario RPG

I disagree on the gameplay front (or at the very least, you are not wrong which is why I'm impressed its as fun as it is), but I do agree that LTTP is a boring world with a lack of genuinely interesting characters.
Which for an SNES non-RPG would normally be a non-issue but considering how the literal next Zelda game did so much more on the Gameboy from that perspective, and plenty of Zeldas are good at story, it does stand out.
@blindsquarel I feel the same. I've had trouble getting through a Link to the Past. Got to the Dark World and then quit. However, with A Link Between Worlds, I was able to get through that game all the way through at least twice. It's such a great game, and it's one of my favorite Zeldas ever made.

@kkslider5552000 I saw your other post saying that you like the first Paper Mario over its sequel. Just curious, what makes you prefer the original over TTYD?

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
I think Super Paper Mario is the 3rd best Mario game.
After repeatedly beating TTYD, Super Paper Mario felt like a downgrade. So much in fact, that I'd left it unplayed between 2008 and this spring. Finally did a complete playthrough this year and now it's off my unfinished list. I beat Origami King first, though.
I also prefer the original Paper Mario to TTYD, but I think that's mainly due to nostalgia as I played the original at a younger age and loved it. I need to replay both, it's been long enough that I've forgotten a lot of what happens in them (especially TTYD; even though it was longer ago that I last played the original it was more memorable to me). Though I'm a little nervous to do that because when I tried replaying another childhood favourite game last year, Pokemon Platinum, I was bored by it and couldn't even finish it. I don't know if that's because it's aged badly or if I was just in the wrong mindset and might enjoy it more if I go back to it.
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
