The "Laserblast" episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 is one of the greatest comic experiences any of you will ever have.

That is a promise. Go stream.

Gonna add Strangers With Candy to the list. Wildly inappropriate and hilarious Comedy Central show, with all 3 seasons up for streaming.

I really need some ideas of good stuff to watch. It seems like alot of the movies on netflix are things I've never even heard of. The stuff on there I have seen I'm sick of watching over and over. I need to find something I don't already have on DVD. I did get to see the new Star Trek movie on there so that was cool. I'm not even a hardcore Trek fan and I still loved it! I may just go out and buy it now that I know it's awesome. How often do they add new movies?

Here's a few good ones I found.

Jumanji. Robin williams
If you haven't seen it trust me it's one of his best. Great family comedy about a mysterious board game that causes all kinds of craziness. It's whacky good fun!

What's eating Gilbert grape. Starring Johnny Depp as Gilbert and Leo Dicaprio as his mentally challenged little brother. It's sort of a Drama film but it's really good and heartwarming.

Uncle Buck. 80's comedy flick with John Candy and Maculay Culkin as a cute little kid. Directed by the same guy who did Home Alone. Classic in my opinion.

The Burbs. Another 80's classic. This one's a good Halloween themed movie. Starring Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher. It's mostly a Comedy though.
Oh and the Neverending Story is on there too. Great Fantasy film with a flying Dragon that looks like a Dog. Based on a Childrens book.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Keep the suggestions coming guys!

The X-Files. Seriously. Watch them. 'Tis the season!

My number one recommendation would be Stargate Atlantis. _

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. One of the most (if not the most) underrated films of 2009.

Honestly Link79, I dont know what you are expecting. Are you expecting these brand new big budget Hollywood movies for nothing? Then main service that Netflix offers is DVDs through the mail. If you just got streaming only than you are missing out about 75% of what Netflix is about. The streaming is kinda like an added feature. And I already answered your question in the other netflix thread and that is that they seemed to add new movies about every Tuesday at least thats the pattern I have seen.

One of the best ways I've found new stuff is through the built-in rating recommendation system. Those stars are Netflix's best guess as to how much you would like something, as opposed to how the Netflix community at large enjoys it. I've rated over 1000 movies and shows by now (although I've had Netflix for I guess 18 months now or so) and so those recommendations are pretty in-line for me.

If you haven't already, start off by rating a bunch of your favorite and also least enjoyable movies or shows to give it some perspective. Doesn't matter if they're available on Instant or not, as long as you tell it what you like it'll figure the rest out. Going into the "Movies You'll Love" part of the site is also good; even if you don't want to watch the stuff, it's a good place to rate recommendations and maybe even find a thing or two new.

Just watched Holy Rollers. I'd recommend it. It has that kid from Zombieland in it. It is about a Hasidic Jew that mistakenly gets involved in the trafficking of ecstasy. Guess it was based on a true story too.

The new Alice in Wonderland movie was recently added. I never thought I'd find a movie that new on netflix.
Out of curiousity I went ahead and watched it. It was a decent movie and the effects were pretty impressive. Not sure about the plot but I'd say it has it's moments. Kids will love it no doubt.

They just added Batman Under the Red Hood. If you are a Batman fan or just a comic book fan I highly suggest this one.
