Madalorian finale was decent. The very end felt a bit strange, like they were setting up for handing off to a cartoon series. But the episode was enjoyable. Cue grogu hitting "Yes. Yes."

@Colonel_Mustache Well it's Star Wars so of course their fans aren't happy, they have been irrationality complaining since the 70s.

They would be better off writing their own fan fiction so they only have themselves to blame when they inevitably start complaining.

I got into the SyFy series The Ark. It has some rough edges, and low budget feels at some points, but it works well enough for me to be entertained. I almost quit mid way through episode 2, but I was glad I stuck it out to episode 3. I Just finished episode 10.

I’ve just started watching Dead Ringers, a series based on the David Cronenberg classic with Rachel Weisz in dual roles.

Loved the opening scene. Americans getting shocked by the c-word always makes me lol and having to point out that twins kissing is actually incest.

Rachel is fantastic, love the dialogue, and it feels like must see TV however the shows feels like a zig to the movies zag.

@Colonel_Mustache the show only has one season, but that's all it really needed.

Samurai Champloo (Blu-Ray) - Samurai action with a bit of hip hop flair.

Hadn't watched this since it aired on Adult Swim back in the day, and though it never stuck with me the same way as Cowboy Bebop, InuYasha, & Evangelion did, I decided to give it another chance as I've been going back and collecting anime I'm familiar with on Blu-Ray.

Really glad I gave it that shot too. I still don't think it's quite as seminal as Bebop, but it was a damn good time overall, with a particularly great final trio of episodes. While I'm not as nostalgic for it as I am the shows mentioned above, I was surprised at how many episodes I remembered once I started getting back into it.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

I'm watching Mrs Davis the show by the guy that did Watchmen and The Leftovers after seeing people describe it as bonkers however bonkers doesn't do it justice.

If I were to describe the plot it would sound like I'm a broken ChatGPT talking about a warrior nun who was raised magicians, a super computer that has saved the world is now after The Holy Grail and all other sorts of random but the show runners are so aware of how utterly bonkers it is they have double down on the writing to make sure it can't be called stupid.

The closet thing I can think of to compare it to is The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy.

Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 is really mixed compared to the first one imo.

@Colonel_Mustache I hope the CGI crews strike as well... But that's getting a little carried away.

I remember all the controversy regarding how the animators in Sausage Party were treated, but the sad truth is that is the norm in Hollywood. Especially for CGI effects in live action productions.
CGI animators are usually treated like slaves unless you work for like Pixar or DreamWorks.

This is why the likes of Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, DreamWorks Animation, and Sony Pictures Animation are much better for American CGI artists, as they actually treat their animators well.
Illumination Entertainment animates their films in France, so I didn't include them, but they are good for animators too if you're in France.

I started watching Wednesday on Netflix. I thought the Addams & Wednesday were a bit over the top in the first episode, but Jenna Ortega and the story become pretty likable in episodes 2 & 3. I'm liking it now! I'm watching episode 4 next.

@Colonel_Mustache I've heard pretty good things about it (hey... maybe depending on how long this strike is and affects La La Land it might help my career lol).
