No reason to go against the masses. There hasn't been any terrible tracks in a while, but one has always reigned supreme. My vote goes towards:
1) Bravely Default – Serpent Eating the Ground (with a name like that, I bet it's one hell of a battle).

Currently on the plate:
Mount and Blade: Warband – Napoleonic Wars
Chivalry
Super Mario 3D World – Finishing the last few levels.
Mario Kart 8

1. Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) - Solaris (Phase 2)

Why? No, seriously why? I'd love to hear why that is a better song.

I love Sonic music, and BD's just sounds like I've heard it a million times before.

Untitled...is the winner! (4-2)

We have six votes already and UGXwolf isn't voting, so I think its safe to call it - as we haven't had that many voters in a while.

Now I suppose we should at least take a little break to discuss possible themes for the next tournament.
If @CapnPancakes is back then we can set it up.

YAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! That game's music is awesome! Here's my Idea:
Best Battle Theme.
Rules:
Cannot Play durring bosses.
Music must change from bgm to battle music
This may seem to cater to RPGs, but a lot of other 3D game have them. Examples:
Battle — Ocarina of Time (plays on field)
Mechanical Rhythm — Xenoblade Chronicle (Normal Battle theme for second half of game)
WIld Pokemon Battle Theme — Pokemon Red/Blue
Conflict's Chime — Bravely Default (You just knew I had to include a BD one )

My video game arrangements (sheet music for piano)
Check in for new sheets every Monday. There's lots of Fire Emblem arrangements coming.

Captain_Toad

I choose best Overworld theme/character select theme.

Best Game Over Theme
VGM Starting with the Letter <insert random letter here>
VGM Based Around Certain Instruments
Video Game National Anthems (countries within games that have an anthem)
Best Menu Music
VGM with Actual in Game Importance (sung by characters within a game)
Specific Genres of Music
VGM from Specific Game Genres
Best VGM from a Specific Generation or Console (8-Bit, 16-Bit, Gamecube, PS1, Fifth Gen, etc.)
Best VGM from a Game
The Best of the Best (Pit all winning tracks against each other .)

@SomeBitTripFan
I really like some of those ideas and will keep them in mind for future tournaments.

If you've been following this tournament for a while, you'll know that we've been making our way through the various parts of music in games. Now we have finally reached the last part in this journey, and we close things off with the Best Credits Theme!

As far as future tournaments go, I actually have a schedule for the next three. Next up would be Best Final Boss Theme followed by Best Credits Theme then a Best Non-Nintendo Theme. If everyone is alright with that, then we'll proceed as such, if not then we'll work something else out.

This is what the Captain had in mind at the end of the last tourney. Best credits sounds good to me, what do you guys think? Though I'd gladly have Best VGM remix or best overworld as well.
Edit: I was fetching some food and got ninja'd!

There must be. I can't think of any, but I wrote that down previously. There must be...

Super Mario Galaxy won the first VGM tournament though - and that was with all music. If we do a best credits theme it would probably just become the winner again. If we're excluding previous winners then I'm all for it.

Oh my goodness, a non-Nintendo 1st party (Well published by Nintendo someplaces but close enough) game won!!! I've seen it all now, folks.

Ahem *

I'm up for credits theme. I'd also support excluding previous winners.

Nominations for the Best Credits Theme are now open! Four nominations each to start, and please refrain from nominating the Super Mario Galaxy Credits Theme.

Yoshi

I guess I'll kick this off with a single nomination. Most likely, I'll edit more in, but I wanted to be sure this one got in.

Halo 3: ODST - Finale
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD - Staff Credits

EDIT: Added the Zelda one. Also, everyone should keep in mind that only the first five minutes of Halo 3: ODST should be considered for this tournament. Everything after that is not part of the credits roll. Unfortunately, I could not find a video which only had the credits music.
