1) BD: Serpent Eating the Ground: As good as Maglor is, this one is easy. The Bravely Default one not only has a good boss theme, it also remixes most of the songs in the game and gives such an incredible feeling at the end of the game.

2) Kingdom Hearts: Guardando nel buio I just think it sounds more epic and don't really like the other

3) Shadow if the Colossus- Demise of the Ritual: I Appreciate the subtlety of this song and how it is menacing without overstating it.

4)Devil May Cry 3 - Final Boss This song sounds great and I'm not a fan of lyrical boss themes.

Check in for new sheets every Monday. There's lots of Fire Emblem arrangements coming.

1) Bravely Default - Serpent Eating the Ground – What a great and varied piece.
2) Kingdom Hearts - Guardando nel Buio
3) Professor Layton and the Last Specter - Last Battle – The other one is far too calm and quiet: it doesn't give a feel of a boss battle.
4) Devil May Cry 3 - Final Boss – Ugh, lyrics. By that alone this wins.

Currently on the plate:
Mount and Blade: Warband – Napoleonic Wars
Chivalry
Super Mario 3D World – Finishing the last few levels.
Mario Kart 8

Aw, I had my hopes up that Jet Set Radio would win that last round.

1. Bravely Default - Serpent Eating The Ground
2. Kingdom Hearts - Guardando nel Buio
3. Professor Layton and the Last Specter - Last Battle
4. Sonic Adventure 2 - Live and Learn

I don't care how cheesy it is, I will always love Live and Learn.

1) I REFUSE TO VOTE — The reason is that I haven't beaten Bravely Default, yet, and I don't wanna spoil it for myself. The music in that game is so amazing that I really just don't want to hear that song out of context until I've heard it in context. I'm sure you understand.

2) Donkey Kong 64 - King K. Rool Duel — This is such a tough one. Kingdom Hearts has the better instrumentation by a long shot and the feel of the music is so perfect for a final boss. However, even with the limited instrumentation, Grant Kirkhope delivered just as epic of a feel for a final boss fight. The compositions don't help, either. I really couldn't decide on the songs alone, so it came down to Grant Kirkhope vs. Square Enix and I'm sorry, but Kirkhope is my favorite video game composer of all time.

3) Professor Layton and the Last Spectre - Last Battle — You guys are really pushing my decision making skills to the limit, here! This one's another tough choice, but it's a bit different. Last Battle has a very unfitting instrumentation, but a composition that absolutely sparkles while Shadow of the Colossus has the right instrumentation with great composition, but the wrong feel for a final boss. Make no mistake: In context, "Demise of the Ritual" serves its purpose FAR better than "Last Battle" does, but I strongly believe a great boss theme shouldn't require context to be a great final boss theme.

4) Sonic Adventure 2: Battle - Live and Learn — I don't care that it's cheesy. It has such a great vibe to it. Another two really great entries. Man, this tournament is gonna be awesome!

THE CURRENT TALLY STANDS:

1) 5-2 (In favor of Bravely Default)
2) 7-1 (in favor of Kingdom Hearts)
3) 6-1 (in favor of Professor Layton and the Last Spectre)
4) 5-4 (in favor of Sonic Adventure 2: Battle)

So far a predictable round. I'm only disappointed that the are all so one-sided. A lot of these are actually really close for me and I'm not sure some of these songs deserve to lose by such a margin, but you can't stop the vote train from rolling, and roll it shall!

It's also worth noting that while finals are running, we're gonna see votes slow down as they have, but let this post serve as a bump for anyone that hasn't seen this topic, yet.

EDIT: Includes Captain Toad's vote.

Not voting yet, but I noticed a mistake in the bracket. You mixed up the Kirby Return to Dreamland ones. VS. Maglor lost to Bravely Default, not C-R-O-W-N-E-D

@Maelstrom
Thanks for pointing that out, it's fixed now.

1. Ys 1+2 - Termination
2. Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Master Hand
3. Skies of Arcadia - Final Battle
4. Radiant Historia - An Earnest Desire for Grey

1) Sonic Generations - Time Eater (Modern) - Breaking down the barriers of stereotypical Sonic music. I like it. This was a close one but I give it to Sonic for being a bit more epic. I wouldn't mind this one going either way.
2) Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Final Boss Theme - This one sounds like it could fit into Mario Golf, actually. XD I am immune to most Brawl music at this point. Too, much, Final Destination.
3) Skies of Arcadia - Final Battle - Nice one. I'm not sure this one will go too far but it easily wins this round imo.
4) Etrian Odyssey IV - The Legend's Successor - These two are similar in style imo. Radiant Historia definitely has a greater balance composition wise, but it doesn't have as big a kick to it. Etrian Odyssey has a much better rise-and-fall, climax and lull going for it, something I appreciate in music.

1) Ys 1+2 - Termination — That sonic song was one of the best I've heard, but this one is just so much more complex

2) Final Destination — Do I even need to give a reason?

3) Skies of Arcadia - Final Battle — As much as I love Chrono trigger, this is the worst of the final boss themes. World Revolution and Lavos's theme are miles better. While this song is not incredible, it's good.

4) I can't decide. Both are good, and from games I haven't played.

1. Ys 1+2 - Determination
Man, I even nominated Sonic Generations but I think I have to vote against it. D:

2. Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Master Hand
I like the other, but I find the original version much worse than its Generations remake. Gonn have to go with Brawl.

3. Chrono Trigger - Last Battle
Nothin' much to say, but it has a nice, edgy feel. And I jumped after a few minutes in, haha.

4. Radiant Historia - An Earnest Desire of Grey
The other one kinda bored me.
