Topic: The NintendoLife VGM Tournament: Farewell

1. Xenoblade Chronicles - Colony 9, I though NiER had a pretty nice tune, but I've loved Colony 9 since I first heard it.

2. Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master - Japonesque, I never liked Good Egg Galaxy all that much, but I really enjoyed the Shinobi song.

3. Sonic the Hedgehog - Green Hill Zone, now this is a Sonic song I can get behind.

1) NIER
Both were fantastic, but I had to go with NIER. Something about the singing added with the already great music tops Xenoblade
2) Shinobi lll
There are far better Super Mario Galaxy songs than Good Egg Galaxy
3) Sonic the Hedgehog- Green Hill Zone
Yes! The proper Green Hill Zone!!!

1) NIER (Never thought I'd vote against my favourite game ever! )

Also, I'm really glad everyone appreciated Song of the Ancients, even though it won't win this round. D: NIER's soundtrack is really awesome and I guess in a way its a shame it had to come up against Colony 9 first round, but both pieces are great and I'm glad you could all appreciate the brilliant composition by Keiichi Okabe alongiside Shimomura's brilliance~

I vote NIER, that is all.

1.) Xenoblade Chronicles: Colony 9 - Nier is more beautiful vocally but Colony 9 has more musical arrangements happening at once which makes it that much more impressive to me.

2.) Super Mario Galaxy: Good Egg Galaxy - Masterfully well thought out orchestrated music VS. 8 bit music.....no comparison here, Good Egg Galaxy by leaps and bounds.

3.) Sonic: Green Hill Zone - Simply the better track.

Song of the Ancients Devola is a beautiful song but I think that Colony 9 is even better.

Japanesque is a pretty good song but not as good as the fantastic Good Egg Galaxy
3. Sonic the Hedgehog - Green Hill Zone
Much better than that awful remix that somehow got through to the next round earlier on in the tournament. One of my favourite songs in the series.

Koji Kondo, still creating wonderful themes in 2007. This brings back such vivid memories full of adventure and starting this game for the first time. I just love it. Definitely one of my favorites in this tournament.

3. Sonic the Hedgehog - Green Hill Zone
This is the best version of this theme, wasn't fond of the remix earlier. Nonetheless, classic~

Both of these tracks surprised me with how good they were. In the end I like the adventurous feel of the Xenoblade track though.

2. Super Mario Galaxy - Good Egg Galaxy
There is a multitude of reasons why Super Mario Galaxy is my favorite video game of all time, and the music is a huge part of that. It really sounds like the beginning of a tremendous adventure and the part from 0:55 - 1:20 is truly magical.

3. Sonic the Hedgehog - Green Hill Zone
A classic in every sense of the word. This tune will dig its way inside your head and is impossible to get rid of, it's just that catchy.

I'm sorry, but I hate they key the vocalist was in the last song.........
2.) Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master - Japonesque
Good Egg Galaxy was one of the more boring songs in galaxy, despite being fully orchestrated.
3.) Sonic the Hedgehog - Green Hill Zone
I feel like too many Sonic music are being nominated. Probably because they have a way of getting you in the mood to play the game. This one is probably one of the more memorable and catchy tunes that display this.

1. Xenoblade Chronicles - Colony 9
Hmm. I know absolutely nothing about NieR, and I've not played Xenoblade so I don't know very much about that either. But both of these songs are simply beautiful. It is tough, but I pick Xenoblade because I prefer the pace to that song.
2. Shinobi III - Japonesque
I think Good Egg Galaxy is a rather below-average song compared to the other songs in that game. And I'm pretty sure I've heard a different version of this song before that I greatly prefer over this one.
3. Sonic the Hedgehog - Green Hill Zone
This one song right here, is a song that I've always known and loved forever. I would be killing the Sonic fanboy part of me if I didn't vote for this.

I don't even feel the need to vote this time as my favorites seem to be in the lead, but whatever.

As previously stated by others, much, much better than the remix. This just sounds so much more... Complete, I guess.

Two of my nomination's are in this round, I didn't expect that to happen.

1.Xenoblade Chronicles: This theme would fit nicely in a Zelda game, both themes are good, but I like this one better.

2. Shinobi III: I really liked both themes, But i'll vote for Shinobi

3.Pulseman: I really liked the Sonic theme (And I sometimes hum it while outside at work), but i'm voting for Pulseman because it deserves at least one vote, it's awesome.
