@Snatcher@OwlHighway1Revisited For the record I replied before seeing the end and immediately deleted my response I do not condone or think 9/11 was funny
...I did just notice that 9/11 could also be 911, which is kinda interesting...
Random Rambling #2:
The more i do game development, the more i realize that when i release my first commercial game, i must market it like no-tomorrow in order for it to receive the most basic form of popularity
It'll be 1-2 years before i even plan to start developing it, so i hope i can come up with a really well-calculated strategy to market my game before i start the development process.
Even if it will become a living-hell to market it, it will all be worth it to be able to share my ideas and not leave them lost forever wandering in my brain

@DiamondCore Oh, right, game development
My game definitely hasn't been being pushed to the side for over a year
Definitely not

@EllaTheQueen6 If you got burnt out, thats alright
The best strategy to get back into it is to just atleast try to spend 10 minutes a day on the game, slowly but surely building it back up to an hour or two
And if you read the code and its a bit hard to read, just spend those 10 minutes reading and understanding your code
@OwlHighway1Revisited Yeah, i will likely do a bunch of youtube shorts. they can work well with short clips which i would also likely post to reddit as thats frequently recommended from what i see too

@DiamondCore I didn't get burnt out, it was a project with me, my best friend, andsome random artist. The artists work was good but he was a student so it was very hard to get stuff from him (And I felt bad cause I couldn't pay him) my best frined only came up with ideas, and I was coding, which I don't know how to do very well. I've since scrapped it for now and decided I'm gonna learn C# so that I can stop using Python, and I'm gonna try to learn art myself so I ain't gotta feel bad about not paying someone. I might also get my best friend to help with the code since he has more experience than me.
It's a simple visual novel, so honestly it shouldn't be too hard.
Oh wait I also gotta find someone to do the music
Oh welp, I'll find someone

If you wanna skip some of the pain in making a visual novel (lines upon lines of code for dialogue), you can use Godot 3.5 and the add-on called "Dialogic" made by a youtuber named Emi to speed-up the process.
It's a great add-on and i highly recommend it, though godot 3.5 itself is python-based so if thats a dealbreaker then thats understandable (Godot 4 is actually C#-based iirc, so you could use that, but i dont think dialogic 1 is compatible with it)

@DiamondCore I was originally using Ren'Py, a Pyhton visual novel maker, but I realized that it was kind of a pain to use. I'm just gonna learn C#, how to do art decently, and eaither learn how to make music myself or hire someone.

@MarioLover92 Neither are close to me, though Disney World is slightly more feasible. I'd definitely take a plane, though I know folks who have driven it. Disneyland was part of a SoCal vacation my family took when I was 14. We also hit Universal Hollywood, the beach, and some more natural areas like Sequoia National Park. I love roller coasters - most thrill rides honestly - but I do understand they aren't for everyone. Thankfully, the Disney parks have a pretty good mix of rides for all but the most tenuous medical conditions. On the luck: You're welcome!
The screen crunch is the main reason why I'm not very fond of Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, thought it was still pretty impressive that they could squeeze the game onto the GBC at the time IMO. I've played the GBC game but never finished it; the cartridge was borrowed. I don't recall much about the physics, but I've seen similar complaints elsewhere online. I have a collecting mentality with some games, so I could see AC:NH driving me nuts when it comes to all the rotating seasonal items lol.

@DiamondCore
cool to see another game dev here! I am learning unity at the moment but I’m still pretty bad at it. Also as someone who watched a ton of development logs something to consider is dual purpose mechanics here’s an example:
Killing enemies in pizza tower both increases your score and adds to a combo meter.
Another example is grazing bullets in deltarune where if you dodge the enemy bullets well enough you get points to use on healing spells and stuff.
I fear no man
but that thing:
The carrot minigame from bowser's inside story
it scares me
@Snatcher Ok. I currently stopped Senko cause I got bored and I'm now working on a cute little doodle of my friend, Leila
