I mean, angry birds alone makes a ton of money even to this day.

@Colonel_Mustache
I know they had to take the original Angry Birds off the App Store because it was taking away sales from the newer games and all their micro transaction. So I guess Rovio has a good amount of value, but one billion for a single IP sounds insane.

@Colonel_Mustache I want Sonic and Red (the angry bird) to be side by side with each other in an AD so bad.

Mario and Rabbids worked, I don’t see why Sonic x Angry Birds couldn’t.

Gonna be celebrating my mom's birthday tomorrow. I'll be picking up the cake, so we'll be having that and watching a movie of her choice. Should be a nice time.

In other news, I finished Breath of the Wild recently, and I went ahead and did a good chunk of the DLC quests. Definitely looking forward to Tears of the Kingdom, and that last trailer was totally awesome. Just on the fence on whether or not I should go physical or digital with that game... though if I go the latter route, it'll be with the game vouchers.

I went to see the Mario movie last night; needless to say I enjoyed it! It was pretty decent, not Movie of the Year or anything like that, but it was perfectly enjoyable. I would certainly watch it again. The movie was so stuffed with references that I'm sure I missed a few. So many great moments, even if the plot overall was predictable, and a couple of moments didn't hit quite right with me.

@MarioLover92 Just watched the movie last night! It was pretty good, I'd definitely watch it again. Definitely some fun character translations to the big screen, plus a TON of Nintendo references, and the moments with a certain ape were some of my favorites lol. SMK is good for a few minutes of nostalgia, but after that, the novelty wears off fast IMO.

Ah, in that case, maybe we could play together sometime! Though I will admit I don't know when I'll get to the game just yet...XD.

Glad you liked the Mario movie! I'd honestly like to give it a second viewing when I get a chance, and of course I'd love to get it on blu-ray when that comes out. For a movie that's based on a game series, it's really good overall. That's totally fine if you don't know when we'll play yet. Should be a fun time.

The manual was actually a PDF on the disc IIRC. I remember finding it while browsing the CD.

Thanks! I got to admit, for me, Peach stole the show with how cool she was in the movie. Yes I have, I haven't beaten it, but I definitely have a copy of the game. It's the game where Peach uses emotions. I still have my VHS tape of the Sonic OVA, I refuse to get rid of it due to how rare it is now.

Enjoy the Trolls movies if you ever watch them. Cool, I don't think I ever seen the Extremely Goofy Movie, only the first one where Max wanted to go to a concert, but Goofy wanted to go camping IIRC. I haven't seen it in over a decade, yet I think I still remember it. I did have a Trolls cake, was a nice cake, had a Trolls picture on top, and decorated with Trolls decorations on the side.

Oh, OK. I don't think I found that PDF, all I remember doing was playing the game itself, lol. I'm sure it came with a read me file.

Peach was definitely cool in this movie, so agreed right there! Loved the part where she would breeze through that obstacle course, and we got to find out how she became the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, too. Turns out she visited when she was a tot! That's awesome you still have a copy, I should play mine, as well. Maybe for my mom's birthday since she does like Peach, too! That's cool you still have your VHS of Sonic OVA. I have no clue where mine ended up though, unfortunately.

Thanks. Oh gotcha, I kind of remember the camping parts of that movie. I remember one of the things Goofy and Max had on their camping trip was a bowling alley, just going off my memory here. That cake of yours sounds awesome, my cake was themed after Peach, as you may remember. (She is known for baking Mario a cake, after all!) They made it so the cake looked like Peach's dress, and we even went ahead and got the crown as a cake topper! We had another topper that had a picture of Peach, as well. They did a great job with making my cake.
