Does anybody even watch the news anymore? I actively avoid it like a plague. Edge bugged on me a couple of days ago and showed me some news on the front page and I immediately searched for the option to turn it back off. Cartoons, now this is a worthy source of information. I rarely even watch anything live-action anymore, just cartoons and anime.
@Eagly As for the best catgirl I would have to take a really good look at the industry. Nia would be in top 3, no doubt, but Kyaru from Princess Connect is a gem, too (if you count gacha games as games). There is also Niko from OneShot (not the one from GTA4), and a couple more I think. I can't memory today.
Honestly, that was just my uneducated guess as to why companies work like this. I also think that they are just not organized enough for the voices of consumers to even reach the bigshots responsible for the release strategy. From what I have learnt in life, every bigger organization is WAY less organized than you'd think. Also, the higher in the corporate ladder, the older the geezers are, and they are pretty disconnected from the current trends.
Also, I think that they are at least partially aware that they cannot do games like they used to anymore. If you look at Sega, Capcom or even Nintendo, every biggest hit they made is waaaay in the past. The golden age of AAA gaming was the 00s, and now it's smaller projects that hold the industry together. Notable exceptions - games that are actually nostalgia fuel, like Theatrythm (I love this game btw played it yesterday evening and today morning and the memories just flooded me).
That's a good attitude with not judging the other titles based on the ones you have already cleared. I should do that more often, too.
The father/son dynamic doesn't work for me in the slightest. But I really get a similar trope, a girl and her robot. You know, when a seemingly defenceless, fragile creature that just happens to have an amazing magic skill is protected by a badass robot/monster/something else.
"a certain other game made by one person that became incredibly popular" you mean Stardew Valley, right? Yeah, it's a big hit and a very good game. It's also really pretty for a one man job. The only thing I dislike is character portraits artstyle, but that's entirely subjective and I am fully aware of that.
I really think that people are secretly craving more games like this, not pretty but with super nice gameplay. However, big companies tend to release mediocre games for normies. I have nothing agaist normies, I think casual players are really chill about the games and I have friends who play like once per month, but since they outnumber the hardcore gamers, the best selling games are the ones that are watered down to fit most people. 60 bucks from a guy who buys his first game counts just as much as 60 bucks from a supergeek who can quote every dialogue from Final Fantasy game out of his memory.
Unfortunately, that means that the scriptwriters never take any chances either. They make average characters with average story, and it all feels same'y. And games that are truly unique don't sit with many people, unfortunately. Taking a look at Yomawari, for example. I am really interested in Japanese folklore and I find Horror games soothing. Also I love the atmosphere of small Japanese towns, and the story aspect is very important to me. This is a game that suits me perfectly. How many people would appreciate it like I did? Not many, some people don't like horror, most people don't know anything about Japanese folklore, and many people assume that no superior graphics = game isn't worth their time.
So I want to ask about Dr. Muto since I have never played this game before.
I heard from review videos on YouTube that mostly said the game was really hard to finish like there was a lot of frustrating tasks to do and at some point it will easily to make you give up.
I need a clarification about how hard is Dr. Muto to play and which part is the most difficult thing to do and it can make me stop continuing the game due to high frustration level.
Right now my main interest is pulling up cards of Amazon Pandora and a Dark Fighter on my phones and taking pics of them together in AR, the Dark Fighter’s supposed to be me.
@JadeKitsune Absolutely not, that was just a tiny rant.
I always land in less experienced teams because of matchmaking thinking that I'll equalize the chances and so I have to do 3x better than everyone else for us to have any shot at winning, and it happens in so many games I'm just kinda done with online gaming.
edit: I just made and ate a brilliant Maffe and I need to lie down and lofi myself a bit so I'll be back in an hour or 2. Or 20.
@ComfyAko Sometimes I have that same feeling, although even with that same team we might win the next round. Or maybe I got switched to the other side, IDK how it works as I don't really pay attention to my teammates' new names because the servers aren't perfect enough to avoid disconnections, didn't Super Smash Bros. Brawl have a system where if someone online disconnects during a match, a CPU would automatically take over for the rest of the fight?
@Colonel_Mustache Since I joined I've tried to add a little sunshine here, and like anyone I made a mistake. I'm still gonna try my best to make people have a fun time on here.
@Eagly Because of reasons that are to boring to go into, I'm also doing Bringer of Chaos on a standard new game. @Kermit1 I didn't mean to offend, I just meant that thing you said yesterday stuck out in my mind as the second dumbest thing I've seen you say, after when you said Eagly had a crush on Mio. @ComfyAko What's a Maffe?
Currently playing: Metal Gear Solid

The eye POV shot is commonly used in movies and TV shows, it's used when a character closes their eyes when they're sleeping or when they're awake and we see the back of their eyelids or when a character opens their eyes, it isn't inaccurate because all people and animals in real life see the back of their eyelids when they close their eyes when awake or when sleeping, the technique is used in post-production, but sometimes they used a mini-camera, it's interesting that they use a mini-camera for the eye POV shot rather than doing it in post-production.
