I went to watch A Man Called Otto with some of my family yesterday since it was my sister's Bday and she wanted to go. It was pretty decent overall, something I'd watch again. Some triggering scenes though, so it earns the PG-13. Not something I'd go out and buy, but TBH a movie has to be VERY good in order for me to want it on DVD. Hoping to finally go watch Avatar: The Way of Water on my own tomorrow evening. Yay $5 Tuesdays!

@SlashFuture Thanks! Some stores do exist regionally, but the environment I live in is primarily rural; that's a lot of drive time sometimes lol.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I sorta figured Goldie would be the one doing all the pie tasting lol. Though I think the bears (Baby, anyway) would be great at it too. Good point, JH is actually a more competent version of Farquaad. Complete opposites in some ways; JH is tall and rotund, FQ is skinny and...height disadvantaged.

Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika why what happened last week lmao. I’m kinda afraid to ask.

Also Netflix showed off a poster for live action one piece, thoughts? Here’s mine, who asked?

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika This is just my opinion, but Beauty and the Beast had a good live-action remake. It didn’t stray too far from its source, and was actually decent.

We don’t talk about Mulan. That movie was a 6/10 solely because it didn’t have Mushu in it.

@SlashFuture Oh god please no, never watched it, but deviating from the source feels so rude to me, like imagine drawing and writing this thing, and some person thinks they have the right to change it, like come on man.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I hope you’re ready for the MHA one! It’s always a bad idea a 100% agree, it’s just not meant to be. Who wants to see anime in real life anyway, it’s fiction, can’t it stay that way?

Oh my god, I’m so relieved that he’s ok. I also think that giving him some space for a few months will be necessary for his recovery. Imagine the shock he must feel, physically and mentally.

All right, so I played a little bit of GoldenEye 007 last night on NSO+EP. The controls feel a bit... different, but I did get used to them midway through the first level. I did finish the first level too, so not too shabby for someone who isn't too experienced with FPSs. I'll try to play more of the single player to really prepare myself for the multiplayer.
@Sunsy Yep! It had a bit of everything I like, lol. I forgot to mention that for my birthday, Nintendo gave me a discount code for their merchandise store, I used it to get a t-shirt that had Mario and the Goombas on it. That's one more thing to treat myself with!

That's cool, I kinda wish I got those PDP controllers you've mentioned when I had the chance. Just to see how they compare to the Hori ones. Oh well. That's cool you got some great use from it.

Ah wow, that sounds a bit weird. I've had my fair share of old games getting screwed up in the past, the whole screen would be filled with corrupted graphics a few times, and the game would crash. It's not pretty to look at, lol.

Yoshi as a Pokemon, huh? I would've totally wanted to catch him when I had Pokemon Red back in those days, lol! That reminds me, Squirtle kind of reminded me of a Koopa Troopa back when I was younger.

All righty, thanks! Are the blue tokens used for acquiring more rare cars and other stuff? I'll be sure to save them up.

On YouTube, I saw GameXplain make a video on setting up the game using modern controls, it involves the controller remap feature in the system settings.

Ooh very nice, I got something similar for my birthday in 2016, they gave me a discount on Yoshi's Story on Wii U. Funnily enough, I got that game for my birthday with my N64. Sounds like a nice shirt.

Yeah, it ended up becoming my favorite controller for those classic controller games on Wii and Wii U. I even used it when I got Sin and Punishment on Wii U. It got a lot of use for Smash Bros on Wii U, and just ended up becoming my main Wii U controller outside the game pad.

Nope, then there was MissingNo, the king of messing up your graphics. My Pokemon Hall of Fame seen better days, lol.

Yeah, it was an April Fools joke the magazine did. Also, I recently learned that Nintendo did an April Fools joke by making a Luigi Pokemon, lol. Kind of amusing back then they got into the fun too. That never crossed my mind about Squirtle surprisingly.

Pretty much, you can use blue tokens on blueprints that rotate in the shop, or open card packs that gives you blueprint. Blueprints are needed to unlock a car. For example, 45 blueprints are needed to unlock a Lamborghini car. It's just being based off the mobile game, they push the microtransactions, and want you to buy tokens with real world money.

So, by doing daily goals lets you earn them without paying for them. Which I like since most F2P games don't let you earn the premium currency from playing, you usually have to pay for them.

@Sunsy I was interested in VNs and point & click games even before playing DDLC, but needless to say it only pulled me more into the genre lol. Even if I'll likely avoid most of the romance-oriented ones lol. I've read a couple of the World of Darkness VNs available on Switch (Wasn't a big fan of Vampire - The Masquerade: Shadows of New York, but loved Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Heart of the Forest) and also picked up AI: The Somnium Files for future play when it was last on sale. I also have a lot of backlogged Ace Attorney games; while I'm not quite sure if they qualify for VN status, the gameplay seems pretty close IMO.
I like Barnes & Noble - love going, but it's also over an hour away, plus I have more than enough books right now lol. I've heard of Five Below and would like to go to one sometime just to look. Closest things around here to that are Dollar General and Dollar Tree lol.

I have one point and click adventure game, Sam and Max Hit the Road. Back when LucasArts did adventure games. That's cool, I never looked into VNs until playing DDLC, and it made me curious more about the genre. Higurashi was a kinetic novel which is just reading, but it was fun, as in a mystery with some horror elements. Always made me wonder what's going on in that town and why so many weird things happen.

I wouldn't compare Five Below to a Dollar Tree, Five Below has more stuff that kids and teens would be into. Sometimes I find good stuff there. I've gotten Trolls coloring books and plushies from them in the past, and the plushies were high quality too. Sometimes they have good game deals. I once bought Yo-Kai Watch for $5. For something more amusing, Charlotte's Web on GBA in 2017, where I use to live, a Five Below still had some GBA games. Mostly Backyard Baseball and Charlotte's Web, so went with the latter because why not and it's an interesting find over 10 years after the game was released.

@Sunsy Yo-Kai Watch and GBA games at a Five Below is actually hilarious. Wish I had those kinds of deals at my local Five Below.

@ChaoticKirby Yeah. I don't think they have GBA games anymore, but it was nice at one point. I think I got Nicktoons Battle for Volcano Island on GBA that way too.

I've seen plenty of games over the years at Five Below. Including Yo-Kai Watch, Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer, Battleborn, Titanfall 2 (GREAT deal, loved this one on PC), just to name a few. Games always seem to change whenever I went in the past.

I think I got a few Animal Crossing amiibo from them, and the 3DS version of Disney Infinity, it came with the game and base, but no figures, but I had figures because of the Wii U one, and was able to use them.

Utah drivers suck, apparently my sister got in a wreck and now we have to go try to get the trailer on a truck in 11 degree weather.

@SlashFuture
she’s okay, the car hit the horse trailer so no damage was done to our truck. ( horses are fine).
