It was after I watched a movie (I forgot the movie) with my parents on TV and when it was over I checked YouTube and saw a new video from Technoblade and then... We knew (the fans) he had cancer and might not be alive for a really long time... We just didn't know it would be this soon. I was a fan of his for a really really really long time so the news hit somewhat hard.
I had to watch this video 14 times for it to set in...

Also the reason I said that I wouldn’t reply for a wile after that comment was because I just went to bed, I know lol, I need to fix it, if I go to sleep early tonight I probably can.

@Kermit1 I actually discovered it through an article. I thought it was some sick joke until I watched the video. I was in disbelief, still hoping that this was some elaborate joke, even though I knew it wasn’t. He was one of the few Minecraft YouTubers I actively watched.
