@ComfyAko Maybe, haven't checked. I'm just naturally a quick reader, though, and I did start learning when I was 9 or something, so I had a serious advantage.

Kanji words have two different spelling:
Kunyomi = Japanese style spelling
Onyomi = Chinese style spelling.
If you have ever seen Kanji letters either from video games or anime, you will notice there were some Kanji words with same letter but have different spelling.
That was because it paired with specific Kanji or Hiragana and made different spelling.
This is one example.
楽
It can be spelled Tanoshii if written as 楽しい = Happy, which it's spelled with Kunyomi style.
It can be spelled Raku if paired with another Kanji with both of them are spelled with Onyomi style. (楽園 = RakuEn = Heaven)
It spelled Raku as it came from Chinese spelling Le but Japanese letter have no L letter so everything from L letter will be spelled as R letter.
Kanji letters are borrowed from Chinese letters so if you have ever study Chinese or ever understand some Chinese letters, by looking at some Kanji letters even you don't know the spelling in Japanese as long you already know the meaning from Chinese letter that's already enough. Some basic Kanji letters for RPG games such as reading the elemental weakness.
火 = Fire
水 = Water
雷 = Lightning
氷 = Ice
風 = Wind
土 = Earth

Speaking about Sentai Ranger, used to be I like to watch Flashman and Maskman when I was kid during 90's era from international channel.
Watching again the first Sentai Ranger from 70's era, it was really cringe as it looks very amateur looking and somehow it looked funny.
Also, the Mighty Morphin Power Ranger we know really well was actually from Japanese version adaptation Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger. The enemies were same, Rita Repulsa (English version) / Witch Bandora (Japanese version) but the main characters are different.
Also, the Yellow Ranger in Japanese version was a male character, unlike the English version was a female character (Trini Kwan).
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Okay, I knew King and Hooty were voiced by the same person but I didn't know it was him. (I did know the other two examples were voiced by him, though.)

Funny enough, I occasionally use Duolingo to learn Japanese and Spanish. The new layout for the app just feels too off, and doesn’t motivate me to keep up my streak anymore. It’s decent though.

@ChaoticKirby I don't like the new layout much either, for pretty much the same reason you describe. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

This is an American version of Sailor Moon by Saban in year 1994.
It was really hilarious and cringey to watch if you compared with actual Sailor Moon anime. 😂
