@Fizza I've been sitting through long load screens and now I have to wait 3 hours for my screenshots and videos to copy on my PC.

@Kermit1 Oof, that's never fun. I have similar pains when it comes to transferring stuff via the built in Switch-to-Phone transfer so I can only imagine how much worse putting stuff to a PC is. I'd advise sticking some music on something other than your PC like a phone to make sure the silence doesn't drive you mad (maybe one of those catchy lofi playlists?).

@Fizza you can unlock them for free right now? Or did the event end, I used to play a lot of Pokémon unite, I will come back to it do once again climb the hellish ladder known as solo queue…..so can I still unlock mew?

@Snatcher Event just ended there, I just really needed to grab them as someone who refuses to pay a cent personally (and I am not wasting coins when they could go towards the absolute LEGEND that is Dodrio).

@Fizza a dang it! I need to get back into it, I did spend money on greninja at launch, worth it, but I have yet to spend money on bp. It’s a pretty generous moba.

While we were on the subject of coffee on the last page, I do like drinking it. I only have one cup of regular coffee per day, however, and that's when I wake up. I had a second cup one day, and I had quite the caffeine crash... it was not pleasant. So if I were to have a second cup, it would need to be decaf. Probably because I don't drink soda nearly as much as water or juice, and even then, it's without caffeine.

@Sunsy Yeah I haven't been playing Smash Bros. online that much, either. Sometimes I'd get solid connections, though the last time I played with my good bud @tekoii, our matches kept freezing every 5 seconds or so. It wasn't... an ideal situation, to put it lightly. And we both had good connections in the past, too, so that was weird. That's cool you got to play Smash Wii U for a bit online. I've won some matches on Smash Ultimate, though I'm not super great at Smash in general, lol.

Ah really? I didn't know Mario Kart 8 had voice chat in the Wii U version. I recall the Wii U having a headset peripheral, is that how it's done? I do know that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has voice chat via the NSO phone app. Oh, speaking of Super Mario 3D World, that'd be fun for us to play co-op online sometime.

Yeah, I guess there's not that much full episodes of shows on YouTube since they're on streaming services, and stuff like that. They probably want to give us an incentive to sign up for those. Though, last I knew, Sonic OVA's on YouTube... which likely caused its price to go sky-high on Amazon, I bet.

@Tyranexx That's good. Knowing my luck, I'd get stuck at least a few times while I play, lol. Ah, gotcha, at least you got to play it in stores. That's cool - that silver GBC you have, is that the one with Pikachu and Pichu on the screen frame? I did look it up out of curiosity. The one I remember from when I was younger was all yellow on the front, and had a blue control pad, and red and green A and B buttons. That's awesome to hear. I've been thinking of booting up Wii Sports Resort for nostalgia's sake, I still have that game.

I think I am getting sick. Maybe not, but I have had a scratchy throat all day. Just in time for fall break, sadly.

@blindsquarel That's my tell for being sick. My throat starts to feel icky then next day POW sick.

I got a cartridge of the original The Legend of Zelda a few days ago. To get some extra mileage out of the My Arcade Retro Champ I got on my birthday back in May.

It’s already working, even though I brought my Zelda Game & Watch on this trip with me, I just love the game so much I’m already four dungeons in with the blue ring and the level 3 sword.

I wish there was a way to save the that didn’t involve killing Link on purpose though (this device doesn’t have a way to do the saving trick). I don’t like adding to the death counter.

(That reminds me… using the save trick on Zelda 2 on the G&W adds to the death counter! I hated that!)

The strange part is that I only go to the building one period, every other day. But that is the only place I can think of that I may have got something.

Yeah, this is what happens every time I get a cold. It won’t be as bad as when I last got one, because I had a rodeo that day. Let me tell you trying to tie a calf is not fun when you can barely stand up.

@Link-Hero the first one actually doesn’t if you access the save menu from the inventory screen.

I guess it was ahead of its time in that odd very specific aspect.

Had a really good day today. My friend and I did some chatting and shopping, so I ended up getting an eShop card for some Apex coins (like the game, most of it will be saved for a holiday skin), and treated myself to an Alice's Wonderland Bakery figure set with a gift card I had. Yes, it's a kid show, but I love this show, and I like figure sets of characters I like that I can display nicely in my room.

Also, I loved that this was the cap to my drink. Getting this made me happy.

@MarioLover92 Try being me, I'll be up all night thanks to caffeine. Usually only have such in the morning hours, it kind of sucks as I can't have chocolate after a certain time of day either. On the brighter side, I can have a small piece of chocolate in the morning, lol.

Yeah, IIRC, Smash online is mostly distance based. I remember playing Brawl online with my IRL friend, because he was 5 minutes away, never had a problem. With public players, it was lag central.

Yup, Mario Kart 8 has voice chat on the Wii U. You create a friend's game, and you can chat with your friends between races by pressing the - button. Note the microphone in the corner of the screen.

Wii U's Mario Kart 8 has a feature built into the game for free, and doesn't require an app. All you use is the gamepad's microphone.

That would be fun, I love Super Mario 3D World.

Yeah, still a nice gesture as some do upload episodes to YouTube. Disney did it with some Disney Junior and Disney Channel shows, albeit they're only up for short time. I have that OVA on VHS tape, honestly, it's the only VHS tape I still have, I consider it part of my Sonic collection.

This is probably the last I'll post in the forums for a few days. This coming weekend is by far the busiest this month, which is saying something. I doubt I'll have much time to internet.

@Zuljaras I really like that pumpkin diorama! It sort of reminds me of a light up Halloween diorama my grandmother used to own before she downsized. That was pumpkin themed too.

@Sunsy I actually really like the appearance of snow, and I do like messing around in it now and again despite entering my third decade lol. My tolerance of it starts waning after about five or six inches though. Not a fan of shoveling, and it usually doesn't snow enough to justify the cost of a snow blower.

@MarioLover92 Yep, that's the one! Pikachu's cheek would light up when the unit was powered on. I received it for my tenth birthday along with Pokemon Gold and Tweety's High-Flying Adventure (decent platformer). I received a Scooby Doo game loosely based on the Jekyll/Hyde episode too around that time, but I'm not sure exactly when. I've heard of that other version; I was pretty sure there was more than one. We unfortunately never had Wii Sports Resort, just the original since it shipped with most Wii units then.

Also I have been playing some ocarina of time on switch online for the first time! I wasn’t sure because everyone said it was janky and didn’t age well but I love it!

I don't think OLED screens are for me, if the next Switch does have OLED I'll sadly pass
