@TheJGG
Are you saying the game becomes playable at midnight in each time zone?
I've never pre-ordered a game on the eShop before, so I'm not sure how this works.
What I do know is that I was able to preload it at noon on the day it was promised, not a minute before that. So I figured, maybe the game becomes playable at noon as well.
@seaboyluca Honestly man, I don’t know! I’ve never actually preordered something before on the eShop, so it’ll be for me to find out. Common logic would dictate midnight local. But when I looked it up it said midnight ET. Meaning midday here. Shoot!
So conversely to what I’ve been saying I’m actually going to have to wait a while.
@seaboyluca I think for you it’ll be something like 6am. Since you’re in Western Europe. Lucky you, you’ll have lots of time to have at at it! I wish I was in Europe at the moment. Damn!
@Snatcher It’s tricky. We’re doing a lot of island/jungle stuff so I’m leaving my Switch for the next week. Tomorrow’s the only day ill be able to play 3 then I’ll need to leave it. So it’s more a case of getting as much in as I can.
@BruceCM In some ways it would be better that it unlocked at midnight and in other ways I’d rather use the sleep. As mentioned above I’d love to have lots of time for the game but it is what it is.
@seaboyluca@TheJGG 1st party games outside of shadow drop announcements (like when an unannounced game appears in a Direct and "releases today" appears) are always midnight local time release where "local" refers to the eshop account region, it's 3rd party ones that sometimes releases in the afternoon.

Well, have fun with that game but I personally felt annoyed with articles and conversations about xenoblade 3, splatoon 3, botw 2 everywhere as peoples keep talking about them while for me those are the games that I will never like.
I don't like popular games like that.
It started to bothering me at some point.
My body oftenly resonate for different games, the unpopular / niche games that matched with my genuine interest.
That's why I keep playing Youtubers Life 2 PS4 since two weeks ago.
It was really interesting game for me with gameplay similar as Harvest Moon style games but with different objections.
Certain popular things sometimes really annoying for me.
@Snatcher To be fair, I've rarely heard about Harvest Moon, only Animal Crossing. I always thought it was the poor man's version of AC (before I actually played AC, I mean).
I guess it might be popular among simulation/farming sim fans. Popularity is really subjective though in this context.
@Anti-Matter If something bothers you or doesn't interest you, maybe... don't click on it then? You constantly make comments on articles and forums saying how this particular thing doesn't interest you when you could just ignore them instead. I do that on this website as well; I don't click or comment on articles if they don't interest me.

Imagine not liking something because it's popular.
I'll never understand that mentality.
I'm not one to chase the most popular games, but even I'd admit that popularity does weigh into whether if a product is fun or good. Not all popular games are good, but there's a reason why good games are popular. shrugs Just my two cents. If that many people like something, there's got to be something appealing about it, even if it doesn't match your appeal.
I'll try and play the first Xenoblade some time. Heard a lot of good things about it, but it's one of those massively popular franchises I never got a chance to get into. Heck, I've only recently played the first Kingdom Hearts myself, just three months ago. The first one. lol But that's why remasters are important. Newcomers could see some popular game get remastered and think, "Well, it's about time I see what all the fuss is about, I guess."
@Maxenmus fair enough, I just don’t understand there whole hating on it because it’s popular, and raining on someone else’s parade, when they don’t have to click on thing or even partake in a discussion involving said game, yet they do it anyway, just to tell you they never will like your game because it’s popular. Like eel said, just let others enjoy things sheesh.
I thought that’s why people would try games not avoid them.
And yes, not every popular game is good, heck It’s just subjective, but why hate on it purely because it’s popular and nothing else? (I also never played xc yet, gonna try the first one at some point, I think I’ll like it,)
@Snatcher Well, it's not the same thing, but I know certain filmmakers hate Marvel films because they think it's saturating the market, therefore making it hard to profit off not-as--popular non-superhero films. With games, perhaps the logic is that popular games change the market in such a way that game publishers would become less interested in developing more niched genres or even remaster niched games from 20 years ago, or release a sequel even. I doubt anyone's hungry for the next Alpha Protocol sequel, for example (I am, but I'm one of the few lol).
But none of this has anything to do with Harvest Moon IMO. It's not nearly as popular as AAA games like Battlefield (or any Nintendo title for that matter) to affect the market in that way.
