@Anti-Matter Yeah, that sucks. It's usually enough to put me off from playing even my favorite games for a while since I hate redoing the same thing over again.

@BruceCM It’s just started to rain… we’re supposed to push for the top in an hour. That could jeopardise it! But I’ve made it very far with an injured knee so anything’s am achievement!
@WoomyNNYes Actually this ain’t my first mountain. I did Mt Kenya twice a few years ago. Both times I got sick and once I actually got to the top. Second time round I was happy to turn back. It’s a little lazy for not having the sheer bloody mindedness of other better climbers but I like living.
Glad you enjoyed my video though, I put a lot of effort into it. Good the audio was good too, and that you liked the writing! I hadn’t done this properly for a while so recording voiceover took lots of takes… it paid off since you and others enjoyed it!
Hey random question guys, have any of you ever sent in your joycons to Nintendo for repairs? If so how was the process and how long did it take? I've had 2 joycons that have been drifting for a long time and I've been thinking about sending them in.
Welp finally bit the bullet and bought two digital taiko (for actual play not the video game series). Can’t wait for them to show up, especially since they can take the place of two taiko types (in addition to the type I already play primarily) I want to get better at but would get shot by my neighbors if I did so.
Taiko is good for the soul, Hoisa!

@seaboyluca Let's see, I answered Kermit1 on how I became a big Trolls fan, and MarioLover92 and I were talking about people who clickbait on YouTube. I posted it in the movie thread, but watched Monsters University for the first time.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
I don't agree, I think you might be turning into a troll yourself. 😉😘
lol As a Pixar fan myself, I tried not to engage with Sunsy's post about Monsters University because I didn't want to spoil their fun of talking about the film. But now that that's out in the air, yeaaah, Monster's University... not really one of my highest ranking Pixar films.
Then again, I thought Cars was underrated, so what do I know? 😉
@seaboyluca True. But I don't know what it is about Pixar. Maybe it's nostalgia, but around 2012, after I saw Brave, I've stopped liking Pixar films as much as I used to.
To put it into perspective: I went to see The Incredibles 50 times in theater (admittedly, it's because of Violet, whom I really liked). I bought the first three Toy Story on blu-ray through Amazon (which includes expensive shipping fee) because it's hard to acquire old movies on blu-ray in Singapore. I was indeed a big Pixar fan, and my favorite remains to be Toy Story 2.
But I guess something changed around 2011. I skipped Cars 2 because of negative reviews, didn't love Brave but didn't hate it, got really bored watching Monster's University, no offense , didn't watch The Good Dinosaur because of negative reviews again, didn't find Finding Dory to be special, didn't find Cars 3 to have lived up to the hype of "revitalizing the Cars franchise," really didn't like The Incredibles 2, found Toy Story 4 disappointing and unnecessary, skipped Onward because it looked boring, didn't love Soul as much as I was initially prepared to when I saw the unique concept of the story in the trailer, and just straight up gave up on Pixar after that (didn't watch Luca, Turning Red, or Lightyear), unfortunately.
To be fair, it's not all negative from 2011 onwards. I thought Inside Out was great, if not perfect, and I cried so, so hard when I finally watched Coco years later (wasn't prepared for it, didn't go into the film expecting anything special). God, Coco was so good, easily bringing Pixar back to the time when Pixar was at its peak with Finding Nemo and Monster's Inc. Lee Unkrich is the man. His Toy Story 3 was a perfect conclusion for the Andy arc.
But yeah, I don't know what it is, why I lost passion for Pixar over the years. It's a shame because, you have to remember how big of a deal Pixar was in terms of animation studios. They literally brought intelligent stories to the animation medium in the mainstream market. Dreamworks did it with The Prince of Egypt and Warner Brothers did it with The Iron Giant, but Pixar was the one who was at the frontier releasing hit after hit after hit. For a time, it seemed like they could do no wrong. They were like the Blizzard and Bethesda of the animated movie world.
I guess some of that admiration for the company might have made me biased, and my expectations might have become unrealistic. But it is what it is. Hopefully, my feelings will someday change. I loved Pixar with all my heart, and I hope to again someday.
@Sunsy
Don't get me wrong, I still liked Monsters University, I just think Inc is better.
Oh, and you're definitely one of the lovely kind of trolls. 🤗
@Maxenmus
You're not the only one who feels that way about Pixar. I talk a lot about movies on other forums and plenty of people have been disappointed with Pixar's output throughout the years. Though, the general consensus seems to improve these last couple of years with movies like Soul, Luca and Turning Red. Lightyear was another misstep from Pixar unfortunately.
In fact, Lightyear is only the second Pixar film I didn't like, after Cars 2. I like all their other movies and still believe they're the best animation studio out there.
LOL they cancelled the summit attempt. We woke up at 1:30am and saw how badly it was raining. Luckily I made up my mind that I wasn’t going before they cancelled it, meaning I get a feeling of satisfaction from calling it. Going up damp rocks at nighttime is a recipe for disaster though.
Today I had the worst piece of fried chicken I've ever had. Me and my family went to a Cracker Barrel and I have nothing against them and the staff were super nice. But our food took around 30mins to get to our table and people who got there after us were getting their food first. My meal took the longest because the cook burnt it, I should add they were also training a new cook today and our ultra nice waiter said they hired people and they never showed up. So we finally got our food and my Mom and Dad ordered catfish, one was "almost" burnt the other was more oil then catfish, my brother got macaroni and cheese which he liked. I got fried chicken with macaroni and cheese as a side and fried okra (okra is always amazing), it was oily and tasted like a chicken you took out of a mircowave then fried it. Now my stomach hurts, I hope I don't have food positioning.
Yesterday I went to the saddest food market I've ever seen in my life. We drove up to the food market and it already looked sad (that was a sign), then we walked in... (it was just one room btw) It smelt like mold grime and rot:
We continued to walk around and there was a drink machine right next to a messy freezer with a few Coca-Cola products in it (like 9 cans) then we walked to the freezers and they had all kinds of stuff in them. We walked down a fruit (isle?) and they had apples, the apples were not local they were from California and the peaches (the only other fruit there!) and they were mushy and flies were flying all around them. Then we left. Then we ordered Coca-Cola slushee's at a McDonalds and waited 10min inside for them, and no joke one of the employees left.
SO I've had a week... I bought Skyward Sword with a Zelda & Loftwing amiibo, I have not played it yet since we've been so busy. I can't wait to play it.
edit; the ketchup at the cracker barrel had a biden sticker on it that said i did that on it...
@Vortexeo
There are some video games repair shop in my hometown Surabaya so I can bring my drifting Joy Cons to get repaired since there is NO Nintendo HQ branch in Indonesia.
