@KateGray Oh please stick with it, Dead Cells is one of my favourite indie games of all time! Don't worry about that tutorial skip by the way, you'll get well accustomed to how the game flows in due time. It may be brutally hard (I still haven't got past the 6th level yet) but it is one of the most satisfying games I've ever played so I hope you enjoy it!

@KateGray I tried resuming Immortals Fenyx Rising last week, and I couldn't remember how to turn on Far Sight (how to look & zoom-the-camera to see things in the distance). Looking in the controls/actions menu in-game, EVERYTHING was outlined in there, EXCEPT how to use Far Sight. It was comical how annoyed I got. I was cursing the devs for omitting it.🤣 ....And it was surprisingly difficult to find the answer on the internet. Crisis was eventually solved, though.😂
I'm always so grateful when games have all their controls & button maps well outlined. It's tough coming back to a game if you take a month or more off. Mario Odyssey and BOTW have great control & actions outlines. Nintendo cares<3
@Fizza Any tips? I'm sort of lost with what I'm supposed to do, or even if I'm doing it right!
@WoomyNNYes Maybe I should give Immortals Fenyx Rising another go. I was pretty negative in my review, because I felt it lacked polish and was really cluttered, but sometimes games play better when you're not locked to a deadline, y'know?

@KateGray Video games, and just about anything else, really. I’m going on a long holiday next month, so I’m deliberately not going to buy any PlayStation games easily until August. That leaves me with… an enormous Switch backlog, and a lot of games to play!
Good luck with Dead Cells though. I haven’t even played it; I’m particularly bad at difficult games. I just wanna have a good time playing as a god, y’know?
@KateGray If you're at the beginning, my advice would be to go to the training area at the starting place to get yourself accustomed with each weapon and test out every combination in the first area against the most basic enemies (you can also find what each button does in the menu and every weapon you pick up gives a highly detailed explanation on what it does). If all else fails though, you could just start a new save in order to pay more attention to what was said in the beginning since you did say you had only just started it.

So, going to watch Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers later today. Seeing the article on the front page, I'm looking forward to the cameos the most, lol.
@Tyranexx That's for sure, also, the most support for gaming. I had fun when I dual-booted Linux years ago, seeing the kind of stuff it ran, and being introduced to open source software, some of which I still use on my current computer. I remember I tried the Knoppix live CD initially, and then I tried Ubuntu. I remember using some lightweight distros like Puppy Linux on my mom's then old PC, ran lightning fast on that old machine.
@MarioLover92 Cool, though I may wait on Earthbound on New 3DS a bit more. Using eShop cards, I'm not stuck to the May expiration. I already have Earthbound on SNES Classic, Wii U, and it was added to Switch, so I went with Shantae instead. Just to have the original game.
Yeah, other themes I have is Amy Rose, the Sonic Boom one, I got a Yoshi and Peach one from My Nintendo once. I think I got some Gurumin themes when I bought Gurumin 3D (an excellent action RPG that's overlooked IMO, first played it on PC, then got the 3DS version. ).
BTW, congrats on beating Kirby and the Forgotten Land!
@Anti-Matter I pre-ordered My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure yesterday. It's being delivered shortly after release (store says June 1-6) and I won't have it on release day. Will try to let you know what I think once I play it. Just looking forward to it because I like the movie, A New Generation, and its shorts (coming from someone who was into Friendship Is Magic).
@KateGray Well, you know, after multiple years of getting-more-desperate-for-new-BOTW, the Immortals game got a little more palatable. I played it for 5 hours when it came out, got the glider wings, but not-being-BOTW weighs pretty heavy on perception. After a year of not touching it, I gave it another whirl, and got a better understanding for the combat, buffed the weapons allows more freedom to roam. I then, finally, was able to scratch the itch of the BOTW's exploring gameplay loop & shrine-like challenges. I put another 20 hours into it. Some of it is great, but then lost interest again. But your review is accurate, it does lack some polish. There's one vault(shrine), I haven't had the bandwidth for. It's the shrine with all the floating cubes; you can jump & glide to them, but you also have to push them in the air, and there's a lot of them. I had a great time for a while, but I'm still conflicted.
You're review was fine. I already came to the conclusion I'm probably never going to write review articles for games. I'm too fussy about what & when I want to play a game. I have a lot of respect, or envy, for people that can write reviews for games.
@Sunsy
For My Little Pony, I will get the PS4 version as I already have other games by OG Games on PS4 (Transformers Battlegrounds, Paw Patrol Mighty Pups, Crayola Scoot) so I will have a bunch of OG Games on PS4 machine.
@Anti-Matter Cool, I pre-ordered on Switch, probably will get the PC version on Steam much later on. Just to be able to play the new MLP game there too. I do that with games I like, buy the console version, and get the PC one to have the option of playing it there.
I saw that this morning. LOL Surprise aren't really something I'm into, sorry, but I was surprised to see OG make another DreamWorks game based of Dragons. Saw How To Train Your Dragon 1 and 2 awhile back. Similar to @DreamlandGem's comment in the article, I thought of you when I saw the Paw Patrol racing game. Hope you enjoy it when it comes out.
I watched the OG Direct thing this morning to see more of the MLP game. I always wanted a Friendship Is Magic game, but the one game was mobile only, since I like the movie and have a new favorite pony (it's Pipp), I'm really looking forward to playing this.
@Sunsy
I was concerning if I cannot be a stallion (male pony) in My Little Pony as for the customization from the trailer, it just only show the female pony. If I can be a stallion and can put a name, I will name the stallion with Ixion from FF X. 😁
For Paw Patrol games, I will try to get all of them on PS4 version so I can take a photo of four Paw Patrol games collection on PS4.
@Anti-Matter I think it might be more or less costumes for the existing characters. The game has a mini-game mode and I believe the stallion character, Hitch, can be played in the mini-games. The little bit of gameplay I've seen mostly features Sunny in the footage.
Cool, enjoy them all. I may not be into Paw Patrol, but it's cool seeing someone else who enjoys the occasional cartoon based game.

@KateGray I have always jumped on and off dead cells, but every time I do I just can't help to put it down! My advice is pretty much the same as what @Fizza said, this game is about learning, and there isn't a better teacher then experience!
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

@Sunsy
Oh, btw.
Since you like My Little Pony, I found some hilarious fan made of My Little Pony The Sims version.
It was not a fan made game, it just a fan made video that looked like an official games.
Enjoy!
@Sunsy Oh that's good, I have the first Shantae as well. Got that game a long while ago. I also really like Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, played that one a lot when it came out on Wii U.
Nice - I have the Peach and Yoshi themes as well. They're the "spotlight" themes - I have the spotlight theme for Mario as well, which was the very first theme I got. Most of the themes I have are of Mario characters. After all, I do love Mario and his pals! It's in my username after all. lol
Thanks! I enjoyed my time with the game. I'm hoping to get Planet Robobot soon, since Forgotten Land got me in a Kirby mood, lol. Kinda wish I got PR way sooner than that, because physical copies are now a bit more expensive than the MSRP. (Same thing with WarioWare Gold, which I also want.) So a digital copy for me, then - at least I'll get a healthy amount of gold coins from that!

Man, I can’t wait for school to be out. I’m so burnt out on doing it, that I just slack off most of the day and end up doing it until midnight. And when I do have free time, I don’t want to do anything because I spend all day on a computer doing school.
Don’t take this like I am super depressed right now. Just frustrated and wanted to vent a little.

@Fizza I went to the training area and it was... a little overwhelming. Do I really have to pick my weapons by getting them out of a big tube, and then sifting through the pile to find the one I want??
@WoomyNNYes you have reminded me why I didn't like the game — I thought the vaults were rubbish and repetitive! But the exploration was fun.

I loved Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers, that movie was way better than it had any right to be.
Actual spoiler stuff, you have been warned... I can't get over all the references, now I need to re-watch to see if I missed anything, lol The Internet mocked him, we laughed at him, we forced Hollywood to change his look, and now, ugly Sonic, comes out the hero.
Now I'm marathoning the original cartoon on Disney+ wanting more.
@Anti-Matter Oh wow! I remember this from back when Friendship Is Magic was new! This brings back memories.
@MarioLover92 Yeah, I actually have Half-Genie Hero on Wii U and I like it, and I remember it was a late release on Game Boy Color, still remember the magazine ad.
Indeed. I don't think I've seen the spotlight one for Mario on My Nintendo, I just knew they rotated it. One was Peach, and one was a springtime Yoshi theme. I remember redeeming the code twice for each, just to add them to both 3DS systems I have.
Cool, have fun playing it. I'm guessing the game was released late in the 3DS life? I don't remember seeing much on it. Though I still remember Kirby Battle Royale being a thing, that was released very late for the 3DS.
These late games remind me, is it me or Disney has a history of releasing games late into a system's life? Cars-Maternational was on GBA in 2007, Ratatouille was on GameCube and Xbox in 2007, Frozen Olaf's Quest was on DS in 2013, and Cars 3 was on Wii U in 2017.

@Sunsy I was cautiously optimistic about the Chip and Dale movie, so I'm glad to hear that you like it. I couldn't decide by the trailer if that type of referential humor could sustain an entire movie. Kind of reminded me a bit of Ready Player One in that regard.
