There are a few things I'd never wish on anyone. Let's...just say I haven't had the best day. I won't go into details, but suffice it to say I spent a lot of my early afternoon in the washroom. Feeling a little better, but still a bit off.
@Heavyarms55 Ah, I could see how at least a normal watch would be a vital thing to have. In my case, I started wearing them during high school so I'd always know what time it was; there weren't always clocks everywhere, and one of my teachers was notorious for not having an operating clock in his room. I was glad to know the time, but in that class I was bombarded with "Tyranexx, what time is it?" questions from other students to the point that it got tiring lol.
@MarioLover92 Burnout is actually why I have certain "rules" when it comes to my backlog. I often don't play different games in the exact same genre at once, and I also don't play games in the same franchise at once. Back-to-back is fine, but I gotta be careful of that as well lol. I'd probably risk not feeling as excited about Dread that way. Besides, it'll be more fun revisiting the 2D entries along with Dread when the time comes.
@Link-Hero Those are pretty much my thoughts on it. It's rare that I'm in situations where I don't have my phone or a way to tell time. Other than fitness tracking as a consideration, I wouldn't have a use for one. I got to a point in college where they were starting to irritate/smother my wrist, so after that watch broke I quit wearing them.
@ThanosReXXX That sounds a bit rough. How many hours of sleep do you usually clock in a given weekday? I shoot for about 7, though lately it's been closer to 5 1/2 or 6. I've been very bad about unplugging in a timely manner lately. I'm mildly under the weather today, so I do plan to prioritize adequate sleep this evening.
I don't entirely recall how I got into the habit of using Chrome at work. I think it might have been related to how their in-browser dev tools work. Though Firefox has improved on that front.
Phew I finally beat Resident Evil Village on the hardest difficulty. Even with infinite magnum ammo that was quite the thing… Particularly in segments when I couldn’t use said magnum to defend myself…
Welp, that was fun. Next time I might switch back to easy and go for a minimalist run to get those challenges done.
Hey Guys, I've been gone for a few days and a tons happened lol.
My phone has become completely useless. Buttons don't work. Water inside it. Screen glitched out. Yay
I went to a church conference which was a ton of fun and also had me learn a lot really great experience, made some new friends, and got to hang out with a bunch of people before they head off to college.
Also I played ping pong with this really nice girl for quite a while. Overall an amazing trip.
Me, every time nintendolife posts about Mario Kart Tour getting new content while Mario Kart 8 twists in the wind.😉 Lol. (Maybe it's not that bad, but it is disappointing)
@Link-Hero I read an article yesterday about the Foo Fighters performing a show for 20,000 vaccinated fans. All the antivaxxers were protesting outside the event…
Sorry to hear your Dad’s an antivaxxer. Must be painful at times when discussing it.
@Tyranexx That’s awful. I’m sorry to hear about that and I hope you feel better soon.
@Blooper987 While it’s good to hear you had fun on several occasions, it does suck to break a device. I can relate, having broken my Switch in the most embarrassing and painful way… the business class death by reclining chair. God it hurts.
@WoomyNNYes Only one explanation for that… MARIO KART 9 let’s goooooo.
Oh yeah, if anyone here’s played Ghost of Tsushima you’ll be happy to know there’s a Director’s Cut on the way, with typical PS5 enhancements, plus a new journey set on the island of Iki.
@TheJGG Honestly it was kinda refreshing. I spent a few days with no technology just learning about the Bible and making great new friends and getting even closer to old ones. Completely seperating myself from my phone made the whole event even more fun, and helped me to be more talkative and open with new people I've never met. If I had my phone I probably wouldn't had met that girl I mentioned previously and wouldn't have played ping pong with her.
The whole thing really made me realize how much I focus on my phone and ignore meeting new people, I would say that in some odd way it was a good thing my phone broke and it allowed me to have even more fun this week.
@Blooper987 Whenever I’m in classes I always notice people on their phones. Whether they can succeed in class or not is irrelevant in this case, because it’s plain disrespectful… I’ve made it a commitment to never bring my phone. No distractions!
That’s a really refreshing take on things. It’s very inspiring, as I, ironically, type this on my phone. Lockdown here ended yesterday, so starting today I’ll be able to go out and do things, granted you have both vaccinations, which I do. Problem is, almost everyone I know’s gone so the best I can do is message people.
It’s really heartening to hear you’ve made new friends during this time. Hopefully you and that girl stayed in touch, or at least she wrote down her number on a Post-It or something. That’s the single drawback of not having your phone on you.
But wow. Ping-pong, such a basic, fundamentally challenging game, uniting people like that. When I was in England last year, we stayed at our grandparents’, who had a ping pong table. We played it almost every day. It was that fun. The matches were intense and could last half an hour if wanted.
@TheJGG Oh Ping Pong is amazing. I've been playing it with my friends for years now and have gotten pretty good at it. It was fun getting to play with people other than my close friends cause I almost never do that. It's soooo much fun if you get two really good players together. We had one game that kept going cause neither of us could get two points ahead of the other for a long time lol.
@TheJGG@Blooper987 I like ping pong quite a bit, I've played it with my cousins when we were taking a vacation 6 years ago. There was this really nice hotel we stayed at, that had not just a ping pong table, but billiards and a few arcade games too (including Metal Slug). I got surprisingly good at billiards too, lol.

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️

Ah, I see...sorry to hear about that. I hope things get better for you soon. I've had my fair share of bad days too...those are never fun and I don't care to talk about them.
That's good. In the case of the 2D Metroid games, I've had prior experience with them so I didn't play them back-to-back. I'll likely wait until I get my hands on Dread to get back to 2D Metroid. You pretty much gotta be in the mood for playing games in a single series back-to-back, I think. I once played through Mega Man 1-10 via the Legacy Collections on Switch, and that was only because I was getting pumped for Mega Man 11. lol

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.

@TheFrenchiestFry Don’t mean to cause offence but I saw your comment on Push Square and I’m somewhat confused as to why this is seen as such an unreasonable deal, regarding Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut. The main justification is the story expansion and new island content, which will have story, side content and more collectibles, plus a new Legends mode. How is $10 USD ($20 CAD for you) a steep ask, to get the game on PS5, ten dollars basically for the expansion?
