I think they said the PS5 & Series upgrades were this year, @TheJGG .... Seems they talked to one of the modders for the PC version about using their textures, etc, so that'd help make it quicker than it'd otherwise be! If I see any updates on that, I'll share them
@ThanosReXXX Extensive IS your middle name, you responded to a wall with a wall! I have to be honest, this is a bit all over the place, but bear with me! I noticed all my points begin with "I".... suppose that I relate a lot to your experience.
I'm also... noted for being very self critical. I feel like the way I carry myself around people gives them a false impression of me, because I'm quite quiet. That gives people the assumption that I am arrogant, which isn't the case. The people that do this, tend to be the shallow ones that don't deserve attention, so I don't give them the satisfaction. Over the last few years I've become much more secure, meaning I have less regrets, and less insecurity.
I wouldn't say I'M a "what you see is what you get" person, I think having a passing conversation with me is like playing a game demo. You can see the good, and the bad, and you can make the choice to continue if so desired. Some people in general tend to wear their hearts on their sleeves and I'm like that too. Leads to little inoffensive remarks being kept in my head...
I imagine your friend's brother went through a lot of pain after that awful event. But it's good to hear he's come to terms with it. Suicides are not really a thing of "fault". Correct me if I'm wrong, of course. And he can feel good knowing he did it before. Just unlucky really. What petrolheads like ourselves call a "racing incident".
I can't help but brood sometimes. That's human nature. I was reflecting on my own... predicament a few weeks ago, to the point that it nearly consumed my train of thought for a few hours, because of the time of year. I talked about it and I felt much better. Pretending to be happy when you're not is dangerous, so being honest is the most crucial thing...
I can tell you feel very confident and happy about your choice. So that's that! Good to hear. As for bottling up emotions, me too. I became quite reserved during this time, more so than usual. It was like flipping a switch once it ended. And it was so much better after. Of course there was a period where I felt a bit dull, and apathetic, maybe two days... but I felt great later.
Now then. Proprietary storage, huh? Sounds pretty rubbish if you ask me. Know what else used proprietary storage? The Red Weapon 8K camera, which cost an arm and a leg to buy, and another arm and another leg to kit out for it to even work. Including proprietary drives that were actually just rebadged. This is a legit company with some great tech but this feels so criminal... This video has never failed to make me laugh.

@Zuljaras It would probably not effect like other people if you went through it already, Even with the vaccine they still have you do all the stuff as if you never did.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!
(My friend code is SW-7322-1645-6323, please ask me before you use it)
@Link-Hero At least I will not need a light to read in the dark as I will glow myself 5G here I come! I've always wanted to have a fast dial with Bill Gates!
@NintendoByNature@bimmy-lee You REALLY should know me better by now, you guys. Why the HECK would I run when Brie walks in? I'd sooner (and much rather) turn around, give her a cheeky wink and offer her a beverage of her choice and a decent conversation to boot...
@Tyranexx "too many sleep cycles"
Yeah... tell me about it, or rather: don't. Because I actually have too few nowadays. On week days, if I catch four hours of zzzzz's in an ACTUAL bed, then it's a lot. I usually just crash and burn in my comfy desk chair after dinner. More than likely out of pure exhaustion, and because I've then already napped for an hour or two, I stay up late, but I still need to get up at 7am again, so it's kind of a vicious circle...
Funny you'd mention your specific browser usage: over here it's the same, between office and home. I've only ever used Chrome when Firefox was either acting up or not working at all, which does sometimes happen, because I'm using the ESR version (Extended Support Release).
@TheJGG Completely agreed on the no fault sentiment, but yeah... tell that to the people involved. They'll initially always feel like they came up short, so we have to allow them to ultimately come to terms with it themselves, instead of trying to hammer it into their heads.
As for me being "happy" about my choice: I was confident enough that doing it was the right thing, but happy wasn't exactly a label I'd use for how I felt back then. As mentioned, it nearly broke me. Back then, this was on my playlist at least once a day:
Be sure to interpret the lyrics in relation to the context of my story...
As for Red: are they the same company that made those movie cameras as well? If so, then they were used to make one of my all-time favorite fantasy series, Sanctuary:
In case it's a show you've never heard of before: it actually began as an online experimental series, to see what could be done/achieved with the Red 4K cameras, but after the initial and HIGHLY successful "webisodes", the demand got SO high for new material, that it was ultimately picked up by what was then still the Sci-fi Channel (now SyFy), and turned into a regular TV series, which ran for several seasons.
I have to re-watch them some day, because it was a great series...
@Eel "The AstraZenica vaccine was brought to you by the Astra satellite. Your 5G reception will now LITERALLY go through the roof... "
@Zuljaras Getting vaccinated is not even so much about yourself as it is about others: it's about group immunity. The more people are vaccinated, the less of a hold the virus in any potential new guise will be able to get. I myself, even though slightly overweight, am as healthy and fit as I've ever been, and I still went and got my dose of Pfizer. In the first week of August, I'm going to get my second shot.
Just look at it like this: even if you, me or any other healthy or strong person doesn't get seriously ill from it, we can still be virus carriers, so being vaccinated also means that whatever potential virus strain you're currently carrying will be weakened to a point that it, when it somehow still reaches other people, will have little to no effect on them.
On a side note: I think that I actually also already got it, because several months ago, I lost (most of) my sense of taste for about a week and a half, and losing taste sense was one of the primary symptoms of COVID-19. But that's about all I've ever had, at least: from what I can tell or remember...
@Link-Hero Same here for my first shot: a slightly sore arm the next day. But truth be told, that's not really a COVID vaccine thing: any and all injections can cause that same effect. I've also experienced the same sore arm feeling when there was a need for a doctor to draw blood.
There are a few things I'd never wish on anyone. Let's...just say I haven't had the best day. I won't go into details, but suffice it to say I spent a lot of my early afternoon in the washroom. Feeling a little better, but still a bit off.
@Heavyarms55 Ah, I could see how at least a normal watch would be a vital thing to have. In my case, I started wearing them during high school so I'd always know what time it was; there weren't always clocks everywhere, and one of my teachers was notorious for not having an operating clock in his room. I was glad to know the time, but in that class I was bombarded with "Tyranexx, what time is it?" questions from other students to the point that it got tiring lol.
@MarioLover92 Burnout is actually why I have certain "rules" when it comes to my backlog. I often don't play different games in the exact same genre at once, and I also don't play games in the same franchise at once. Back-to-back is fine, but I gotta be careful of that as well lol. I'd probably risk not feeling as excited about Dread that way. Besides, it'll be more fun revisiting the 2D entries along with Dread when the time comes.
@Link-Hero Those are pretty much my thoughts on it. It's rare that I'm in situations where I don't have my phone or a way to tell time. Other than fitness tracking as a consideration, I wouldn't have a use for one. I got to a point in college where they were starting to irritate/smother my wrist, so after that watch broke I quit wearing them.
@ThanosReXXX That sounds a bit rough. How many hours of sleep do you usually clock in a given weekday? I shoot for about 7, though lately it's been closer to 5 1/2 or 6. I've been very bad about unplugging in a timely manner lately. I'm mildly under the weather today, so I do plan to prioritize adequate sleep this evening.
I don't entirely recall how I got into the habit of using Chrome at work. I think it might have been related to how their in-browser dev tools work. Though Firefox has improved on that front.

Phew I finally beat Resident Evil Village on the hardest difficulty. Even with infinite magnum ammo that was quite the thing… Particularly in segments when I couldn’t use said magnum to defend myself…
Welp, that was fun. Next time I might switch back to easy and go for a minimalist run to get those challenges done.
Hey Guys, I've been gone for a few days and a tons happened lol.
My phone has become completely useless. Buttons don't work. Water inside it. Screen glitched out. Yay
I went to a church conference which was a ton of fun and also had me learn a lot really great experience, made some new friends, and got to hang out with a bunch of people before they head off to college.
Also I played ping pong with this really nice girl for quite a while. Overall an amazing trip.
Me, every time nintendolife posts about Mario Kart Tour getting new content while Mario Kart 8 twists in the wind.😉 Lol. (Maybe it's not that bad, but it is disappointing)
