@ThanosReXXX - Yep, I was regularly ushered quickly through the toy aisles, or not allowed to walk down them at all. A couple times a year, my grandparents would take me to the mall for a couple hamburgers, and then they’d let me pick one figure off the shelf at a toy store. This was magical, but also stressful because the infrequent additions to my collection meant every choice felt like it had life or death consequences.

Haven’t had a chance to watch those videos, but I love Kung Fury, though it’s been a while since I’ve seen it. And yes, Crossing Souls is a bit inconsistent here and there, and I agree that the animated cutscenes don’t look like a cartoon from that era. There are less of those cutscenes than you might imagine based off the trailer you posted, and they’re a little more backloaded towards the second half and even final third of the game; which is when the game really gets rolling and turns quite a bit darker than it had been previously.

@Tyranexx - Totally agree that games should disappear from the wishlist after you purchase them, I make good use of that list, and I always have to clean it up after a big sale. Another weird thing about the eshop is that the Zen pinball tables are never listed in the great deals tab when they’re on sale. I manually search them every week to see if there’s a sale because the news app is even inconsistent in listing a sale, even if you follow the Zen page.

It’s good that you’ve resisted the urge for a pet knowing you don’t have a great schedule for it at the moment. It’s a big commitment, and if you adopt from a shelter; there could be all kinds of additional emotional and behavioral problems, especially anxiety about being left alone. The pandemic has cleared out the shelters in my area, people have been buying and adopting pets like crazy for the last year. We had to drive about 45 minutes away to meet a few pups. The only stragglers at the local shelters are older dogs that have trouble getting adopted due to their age. Perhaps a veteran pup might be a little more relaxed spending working hours alone at your place? You never really know until you bring them home though!

@ogo79 - I noticed on Amazon that He Man and Skeletor are two of the higher priced figures. I’m kinda okay spending in the $30s on them because I’ve been looking for years for vintage figures, and the options on eBay seem to be buying an entire lot of junky figures for $30, or buying a vintage collector’s piece for a lot of money. It’s my fault for getting him started on a 35 year old cartoon.

@Losermagnet - Sorry to hear you’re experiencing some neck issues. My neck fell apart at 30 and it was pretty brutal. I did about six years of alternative therapies (injections, PT, stretches, exercises, etc) before a blowout at a second level finally made me tuck my tail and get a fusion. I really hope you’re able to get it fixed up without all that. One thing that helped me a lot was to understand that pain is a chemical reaction, your mind and your will are stronger than your nerves, and this is an opportunity to become mentally and physically stronger. Chronic pain can ruin you, or make you powerful. Crush this pain and ask for more.

@bimmy-lee thanks man, thats inspirational. Makes me think of how I've been playing Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Overcoming the challenge and becoming stronger, you know? Thanks.

@Losermagnet - Yeah, great analogy, any tough game or section that makes you put your controller down and doubt yourself. Then you decide you’ve come too far to give up, pick the controller back up, and bang away until you blast through it. Anyway, I’ve been through it, and I feel better at 42 than 32, and my wife worked for two different spine care specialists for a total of 10 years, so I’m here if you have questions that only some random dude on the internet can answer.

@bimmy-lee Thats good to hear. Once i started having problems, and they weren't going away, I was thinking "so this is the rest of my life, huh?" And those are some heavy thoughts to reconcile. I was sure I'd be breaking through 2x4s with my skull into my 50s, but life throws you a curveball sometimes.

Sam and max is just plain funny and you should play the demo. That's all I have to say.

@Losermagnet - Haha, you’ll still be breaking those boards and head banging, you just need to pick your spots. That reminds me, that was a Bloodsport reference the other day when I was rambling in a thread and told you to “break bottom brick”. It got locked before you could respond, so just wanna be sure you got the reference. If you’re already using your head to break boards, I would think bricks are the next logical step.

@NintendoByNature - But this is secret way of entering even bigger secret kumite tournament! Just talking about it here could get us hunted by somewhat bumbling, but eventually warm hearted military policemen who will allow us to avenge our nerd hating biker friend we smooched in a hospital bed by destroying Chong Li.

@bimmy-lee ah yes. You're correct. I must not forget the implications of Brick breaking and kumite match. Perhaps forest Whitaker will attempt to taze me while chasing me thru streets of Hong Kong jumping from boat to boat and cracking wise man smile when they nearly catch me but not. I will whisper to you and @losermagnet "next fight, try to keep your clothes on," and you will both know this means I destroyed Chong li.

@Snatcher I played one of the Sam & Max episodes a long time ago, back when Tell Tale Games made newer games (LucasArts did a Sam & Max game in the 90's IIRC). Really is a funny series of point and click adventure games, nice seeing others enjoying them too.

@Sunsy And its just the demo to, I might think of getting the full game.

That's good news. I downloaded it earlier.

@bimmy-lee @NintendoByNature. Oh yeah, I remember that thread. I had a paragraph typed up and by the time I hit 'post' it was locked. I consindered carrying it on in the chit chat thread but couldn't commit to it. I don't remember much of what I had typed, but I haven't seen Bloodsport so it would've been mostly random nonsense (the usual for me 😆).

The first thing I thought of with breaking brick bottom was this Untitled

@Losermagnet this is understandable. I feel like there aren't many people who have seen it. I remember growing up, and non of my friends knew the movie, unfortunately.

If you could us one favor in your spare time, if you're taking requests from random strangers, watch some bloodsport. Not only will you understand these references, but you will be enlightened by JCVD, the best action hero/ martial artist of all time(opinion of course).

@Snatcher Hope you do, the series is funny. I remember years ago, Tell Tale did this series episodically, so I ended up playing one of the episodes, had a great time with it. The humor is great!
