@Eel Aha. I kind of assumed that the program came with ready-made templates or textures, so all you'd then have to do is apply the after-effects to make it look like a bas-relief. Even older programs such as Paint Shop 9 have these options, that's why I kinda figured that the program you used would have similar capabilities.

But having said that, I'm not at all familiar with anything on Apple platforms, so perhaps I assumed incorrectly.

Speaking of Mayan style Pokemon, i found this picture from Google image.

Yup that's the style.

There's textured brushes and stuff, and you can add more, but I assume just a rock like brush is not enough to make a good looking rock. I think.

Talking about Pokemon, I've been trying to get a Guzzlord in Ultra Sun for a few days now. Funny how shiny pokemon are more common in the Ultra Wilds than Guzzlord... I already found five!

On all the get wells: Thanks! It's healing well. Still stings a little, and I need to remember to not put a lot of weight on it.

@MarioLover92 Frozen 2 was pretty good IMO. I'd say it's almost on par with the first movie, though Let It Go is still very iconic lol. Also the animated Beauty and the Beast is indeed better. Bonus points to the live film for casting Emma Watson however.

Bowser's Fury does indeed look awesome! That mode almost makes me want to grab SM3DW again, and I still may. But it'll be some time before I do. It's one of two digital retail Wii U games I own. I'll wait for review and community commentary before figuring out if I want to dive in again. I don't double dip often.

@theJGG Burgers are heavenly! I love them. But good pizza conquers all, in my humble opinion. Though I've never had Chicago style deep dish. I'm not picky where it comes from unless it's Little Caesars. Their made to order pizzas are okay, but their hot & ready pies are bleh.

@ogo79 I'm betting it's spam.

Disturbing? Yes. But I'd admittedly eat that monstrosity. Then regret it afterward lol.

@PokemonGirl99 That's really up to you. One starter can help cover the weaknesses of another. All the Gen 1 starters are decent in my opinion. The only Gen 6 starter I don't like is Chespin, but that's purely from a design standpoint. Froakie is meh, but at least Greninja looks cool.

@SM3DASislit It's more a gash than anything, though I'm sure it'll also bruise before long by how it feels.

Tim Burton's touch, as I call it, is a highlight in many of the films he's involved with. Not that I've seen them all, but I hope to fix that lol. I love stop-motion films especially as they're different from the norm and take a lot of interesting work and talent to create.

I know Lion Guard is an animated Disney show, though I'm not sure what its target age group is.

@ThanosReXXX We actually haven't had much in the way of snow in my neck of the woods; this winter has been somewhat mild so far. There was a temp drop this past weekend, not helped by cloudy, dreary days and windy conditions. Sunday technically hit the freezing mark, but it felt cooler than that lol.

I need few excuses to invest chocolate-infused foods and drinks every now and again. But it's good to have them.

@SM3DASislit Heard of the second album syndrome? Essentially if a movie, album or video game is released, the sequel usually isn't better than the original. Sometimes there are things that'll break that trend like Toy Story 2... but that's one of the only examples I can think of. Subjectively Super Mario Bros. 2 and Zelda II were inferior to their original counterparts, mainly because they tried to do so much differently, and be experimental in their testing of new ideas. Mario 2 gave us a grab option, and a lot of new enemies and elements. Zelda II was sidescrolling and had an overworld map and a sidescrolling one. They also had RPG style levels, a magic metre... that was a very bizarre incident.

But the third entries in these series were extremely good compared to the previous two. Mario 3 was evolutionary while being faithful to the original Mario, whilst A Link to the Past was revolutionary, adding a plethora of new ideas and concepts into the design doc. These traits carry over to the Switch entries, Mario Odyssey felt a bit conservative in how crazy their design choices could be, again, evolutionary. Breath of the Wild's whole design philosophy was about burning the Zelda rulebook, and it was a complete revolution to the Zelda and open-world genres.

Frozen II was evolutionary. Loose ends from the first film were tied up, and some new concepts were introduced. New songs, new characters and a new story. It could have taken more risks, like of course actually killing off a character but it was a childrens' movie so I really can't blame Disney for being conservative. Would have broken everyone's heart.

@Anti-Matter Those Mayan Pokémon to me resemble one of the specific demons from the Persona series. I don't remember which but to any Persona 5 players, you'll find that demon in Madarame's palace... they look like idolised lions. What a look.

@ThanosReXXX I was a little busy to explain The Giver yesterday but I'll definitely do it now. It's about a boy named Jonas, who grows up in an isolated Community, that's literally devoid of colour. From birth, genetically engineered babies are pre-assigned parents, jobs and spouses. Nobody is allowed to lie, and everybody must report their dreams to their family. Jonas is selected to be the Receiver of Memory, instructed by an old man, the titular "Giver", to bear the burden of past memories and experiences (like war, pain, famine, but even things like snow, music, and rainbows), for the Community. The Community abandoned all of these feelings, for a lifestyle of "Sameness". It seems like utopia but in reality it's dystopia.

I won't spoil it, in the hopes that if you do read it, you'll be able to experience the story as I did!

I played SM3DAS a few minutes ago, and it reminded me why I absolutely hate Super Mario Sunshine. The whole game is a mess and honestly I have zero clue why I ever feel motivated to try and advance further into it. Anybody have a problem with Ricco Harbour? Because the third Shine Sprite (the one that's caged) is an absolute nightmare that was so ridiculous that it put me off the whole game for two months, and only just finished it. The level design there is so tight, and doesn't suit the Switch controls at all. Furthermore when battling the paint plant creatures (forgot their real name), these small creatures keep popping up and disrupt my progress against it. There's no way to shoot the plant's mouth unless I enter the "shooter" mode which stops me from moving in a 360 degree pattern. I died due to this and here I am...

Do you think (@SM3DASislit especially since his username screams Sunshine!) Sunshine is a difficult or unfair game? I read from Shigeru Miyamoto that it was closer to a hardcore game than ever, or that they didn't make it specifically for casuals. Let me know!

@theJGG I personally hate Sunshine, it feels like it struggles to find its own identity.
The whole fludd mechanic feels like an attempt to fall in with the shooter genre that was really starting to take off at the start of the naughties - the Xbox had just released and Halo was helping to sell a crazy number of consoles with the Gamecude lagging behind this felt like a cheap sell out to grab a slice of the pie. It didn't help that it also felt unpolished compared to previous Mario games, the camera was almost gamebreaking at times and the whole game felt way to restrictive - especially coming from the freedom found in 64.

@MarioLover92 Hope you enjoy Tokyo Mirage Sessions, one of my favorite Wii U games. Haven't played Captain Toad yet, bizarrely enough, I got recently reminded that Dr. Luigi existed on Wii U. Actually, I just bought the game, in event Nintendo stops the Wii U eShop.

Today I received a racing wheel plus an entire rig, for the PS4/5! Not only can I brush up on my karting skills, I can also try other games with it. Imagine playing Persona 5 with a wheel... I’m trying that right away!

Edit: You can’t! But I absolutely suck at F1 2019 now...

@Anti-Matter
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
Oh wow, sounds like your character creation takes a significant amount of time to make.
That's clever for having 26 pictures for 2026.
Sounds like you'll be with your 2026 calendar projects for a while.
You're totally fine, I actually find what people are doing in the future, and their thought process behind something pretty interesting. 🤔

@ThanosReXXX
Haha, that's a good point. That's also true.

@Tyranexx
At least it wasn't worst than that. Still, that still stinks though that it happened though.
I tend to be a bit more cautious with Tim Burton, as some of the other things he's done can be straight up bizarre. I still do watch his movies, but I prepare for his touch (if that makes any sense). 🤔
I figured you knew it was an animated show (which there's nothing with that at all), but I just checked on Wikipedia, and apparently, Lion Guard was on Disney Junior. I don't know if that makes any difference if you watch it or not, but I just wanted to let you know.

@TheJGG
I don't think I've heard of the term, but I definitely do know the concept behind it. I mean, Shrek 2 also breaks that trend as well (IMO). Yeah, SMB 2 and Zelda are definitely considered the "black sheep" by a lot of people.
The third entries do tend to rise up and "take charge". I didn't realize A Link to the Past was the third entry, I thought it was Link's Awakening, whoops. It definitely does seem that the Switch entries are changing things up again.
It definitely was evolutionary. Why would they kill off a character in Frozen II, especially when they killed off the parents in Frozen I? I actually meant the Frozen II portion to be for anyone to respond to, so sorry if I didn't make that clear. Thanks for responding to it though, but in case you confused if it was for you specifically, I just wanted to clear things up.

I actually didn't find "The Caged Shrine Sprite" (that's what it's called) to be that difficult (at least when I played it recently through 3D All-Stars). If you're the gooey piranha plant-esque creatures, you can actually squirt the small creatures with water and they'll go away. You can still move the camera 360 when you're in "shooter" mode, but as you said, you can't move.
Why do you think my username screams Sunshine? Is it because I have 3D All-Stars as part of my username? Yes, I do think Sunshine is difficult, and it can also be straight up unfair as well. I go as far as saying that it's the hardest game in the 3D All-Stars package. It's definitely closer games to a hardcore game, however, what makes things worse is that reports starting releasing shortly before (or after) 3D All-Stars that Sunshine was rushed during development, and that's why some of the levels are really difficult. 🤔

@Blooper987
You drew that?! That's really impressive, and definitely, a lot better than I can do (meaning stick people). Keep up the good work.

@Blooper987 Your picture of Ame is cute. Nice to see someone else who enjoys Hololive, had on Korone's Sonic 1 stream last night before bed. Missed it live, but was watching it nonetheless.

@theJGG Thanks!

@SM3DASislit you can get pretty good if you practice a bit. I’ve only been drawing for a month or two and I’ve made so much progress!

@Sunsy thanks! I watched a little of that stream. Couldn’t watch it all cause it was during school😭 I might try to draw Korone next. Probably won’t turn out as good though.
