There are a lot of fake PS2 games in Indonesia.
The title on cover doesn't even match with the ripped ROM games inside.
The worst part, there are some hacked adult PS2 games swapped with kids cartoons, burnt in pirated DVD and sold to the kids.
Extremely Fraud and Mass Idiocy. 😤

What I have noticed though, is that a lot of it occurs specifically with new members. Using all caps, asking/begging for stuff, advertising their YouTube channel, and so on.

I have this sneaking suspicion that hardly any of them actually read the site rules anymore, before joining.

I know that the fine print can be a royal pain somtimes, but still: saves a lot of hassle, annoyance and misunderstandings.

Oh, well. It's a sign of the times, I suppose...

On refreezing snow: I can definitely relate to that being a pain as well. Over here, with all these ancient canals and streets, there's a lot of slanted/skewed walkways and pavements here, as well as wooden and/or otherwise slippery bridges, so whenever refreezing takes place, that's always a massively "enjoyable" experience...

I'd love to complete that research quest as well, but sadly there's like no grass-type pokemon spawning at all.

Talking about that, I think one of your eggs gave me a shiny Alolan Meowth.

Ah cool, it looks like the Mario Game & Watch will be releasing here much sooner than previously stated. Cool, can't wait.

The only digital games I buy are on PC from GOG.

@Zuljaras Well, on the Switch, ABZU is an absolute must-have/must-play, and so far, I've also really enjoyed S.N.I.P.E.R. Hunter Scope, so you might still want to check these out. And they are only available in digital form anyway, so there wasn't any other way to get my hands on them anyway.

If you're curious about what the other titles are, then I'd be more than happy to tell you. And not ALL of these games are digital, as clearly mentioned...

@Zuljaras Oh, and if you still have that inner child that likes to play in the mud with his toy trucks and cars, then you'll DEFINITELY want to check out MudRunner. It's also available in physical version, by the way. Here's a trailer of that particular game:

@Eel Pinsir is my second shiny from rockets. Jessie gave me a shadow Ekans a while back. I am surprised about the grass spawnibg issue, I have been seeing Cottonee and Nuzleaf constantly!

@Zuljaras No need to be sorry, my friend. If a certain type of game doesn't interest you, then that's fair enough. We all have our own tastes and likes, after all. As for the sniper games: the one I mentioned is on the Switch, and the more cartoony type, but still fun regardless, and for the price that it costs, I can easily recommend it.

If you want a more serious/realistic sniper game, then look no further than the Sniper Elite series. You can get all the games on the Switch, or if you prefer to play them on Xbox or PlayStation, then you can get them there as well. They are simply brilliantly entertaining games, especially with the X-ray kill shots...

@Zuljaras By the way: to see some gameplay from the second level of that Sniper game on the Switch, fast forward to 11 minutes into the video. The game offers various ways to play, so the first level is first person, the second level is third person, and so on.

On a side note: here's a couple of videos of ABZU, which you REALLY shouldn't miss out on, if you're even remotely interested in games involving deep sea adventures and diving, because this one is really good. Atmospheric gameplay, great sound track, and in general, simply beautiful. Anyway, here you go:

I'm just chilling here while I wait for the Geno article

Whew...Busy night. My fridge was almost empty, which meant it was time for my two-week grocery run. Then I went to pick up a pizza + salad I ordered online at a local place (Mmmm....BBQ chicken!). THEN I swung by normal work to grab some work shirts I had ordered that finally came in. And I fit in some Pokemon Go between all that. Between the errands, putting away groceries, eating ambrosia of the gods, grabbing and sorting through my daily mail, and doing a few other odds/ends...I'm beat!

@ThanosReXXX I feel like a lot of the rules here are common sense, as far as forums go. I do recall reading them when I joined as some sites do have different protocols for some things (such as double or multi-posting), but I am the patient reader sort. Unfortunately not everyone is the same. XD There's no reliable way I can think of to get people to read the rules other than directing them right to the page when they sign up. Even then that has pitfalls since any confirmation method I can think of (online anyway) has plenty of loopholes....

Oh yes, ice on ramos and stairs is the worst. I almost slid into a gas/petrol pump at a station one time; the entrance had a bit of an incline, and I was hoping I wouldn't die in a fiery explosion....

@Heavyarms55 No huge rush on Celebi it seems, I just read Niantic has extended Jessie and James's spawn window into sometime in February. And congrats on the shiny Pinsir! That one isn't a must-have for me, but I do keep an eye out for them too!

On the ditching: Thankfully I sorta knew the property owner, and he came over to see if I needed any help. The field had had corn in it that fall, so there was a little more traction with the old stalks. Thankfully the vehicle I drove at the time (parents' old '95 Ford Windstar van) sat high enough that it didn't sustain any damage and could power through. _{Though it didn't survive being totaled the next year....}

@Eel No grass type Pokemon!? Odd. Cottonee and Nuzleaf are spawning like crazy here too. I didn't have much trouble with that particular task. And congrats on the shiny Meowth!

@Tyranexx Oh that's good! Occasionally my vast hatred of social media means I miss updates like that. lol

@Tyranexx But that's just the thing: these rules are indeed common sense, so even without having read them, most of them should be stupendously obvious. And yet, here we are...

As for when or how they appear for new subscribers, far as I know, you have to accept (and scroll through) those rules when you sign up, but we all know how that goes in most cases: simply scroll down as fast as you can without reading a single line, tick the box to accept, and click on next to open your account...
