@Tyranexx Yeah, Earthworm Jim is a good game, I like it quite a bit. Again, it's pretty hard lol.
As for The Lion King, we only had the movie on VHS (along with other Disney movies), no game or anything. I LOVED the movie as a toddler - I watched it so many times, lol. I would put it as one of my favorite Disney movies too. Beauty and the Beast is up there, as well.

Actually, celebrating new year without party, fireworks and all the hubbub is the tradition of Balinese peoples in Indonesia.
The day is called Nyepi / Day of Silence (Nyepi is a Hindu's New Year in Bali, usually celebrated on March) where during on that day, Hindu peoples in Bali stay at their home for 24 hours without electricity / fire source (Amati Geni), no travelling (Amati Lelungan), no working (Amati Karya) & no party (Amati Lelanguan).
They keep quiet, no talking, no shouting, no turning on music / TV, spent the day with self evaluation about their mistakes that they did in the past and promise to not doing again on the new year. Also they spent the day by praying to Sang Hyang Widhi (God in Balinese Hindu).
During Nyepi day, all the public places must close their business for 1 day including airport except hospital. No vehicles running on the road or flying in the air or sailing to the sea. The Hindu priest (with some securities) usually stay outside to keep the silent moment on Bali keep going without any interruptions.
After Nyepi day, you can do your daily activities normally.
First snow today! Not a lot of it - a little over an inch - but it was nice to wake up to! Half of it melted off today before temps dropped below freezing today. Beats this time last year; mid-December last year contained our first (and only) major snow event that dumped 7-8 inches (18-20 cm).
@Heavyarms55 Honestly, if the shiny Mew event was about half the current price, I might've caved. I highly doubt I will, but we'll see how I feel closer to time.
I'm trying to get some of my "walk to evolve" buddies taken care of before committing to another long-term buddy after I finally evolved my Timburr all the way up to Conkeldurr a little while ago. I got both Runerigus and Sirfetch'd out of the way recently, just evolved a Woobat into Swoobat, and am now working on a decent Bonsly I hatched. After this one there's a Happiny, then I think I'm ready for another long-term buddy. I think Espurr or Froakie are also next on the list, though I'd also like to get my Fletchinder up to Talonflame....It's one of my favorite Gen 6 designs.
On the buddy interactions: No problem! It's something I do on occasion if it's a buddy I want to genuinely invest in, but I'm not religious about interacting in the AR mode. My phone is older, and that's a good way to drain my battery faster. I often stick with the quick feed option.
Dang, those temp fluctuations are nuts! We've had that happen here - there's a running joke that you can experience all four seasons in a week or less in my state - but not nearly as often I'm sure.
@Eel Hopefully that one rude individual I noticed commenting in that thread is the only occurrence of irritation. It really is a fun game, though I've only played with friends.
@Anti-Matter, @Zuljaras Awesome cards! I love Christmas; both it and Halloween are my favorite holidays.
@ThanosReXXX Ah, I see. Just another day in the job of a mod then. It's been many years since I've been a mod on a forum, but I do remember them....
@MarioLover92 Oh believe me, I watched The Lion King a LOT. XD Some other favorites of mine are Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, The Emperor's New Groove (underrated), Fantasia (I was a weird kid), Mulan, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, most of the Toy Story Movies, Up....Okay, I said "some", so I better stop. XD
@Tyranexx Ooooh. That kind of half melting refreezing snow is honestly pretty bad in my experience. It leads to ice patches that make the morning after potentially unpleasant. I have a vivid memory of being a kid, walking to the bus stop and seeing what looked like a clean shoved sidewalk, and slipping and falling hard like something out of an old slap-stick comedy routine... Another time when I was older I was driving home from an event and we had rain that turned to freezing rain during the event as the temp dropped and it covered everything in a sheet of ice. I was on the off ramp from the high way and a gust of wind actually blew a car into a ditch! Scared the hell out of me!
I was wondering why you had a Bonsly partner. Why do you need to evolve it, you've not caught a Sudowoodo in the wild? How goes your Celebi event? I think I just need to run into Jessie and James once more and I should be good. But they aren't exactly spawning frequently. Lots of normal rockets instead...
I did grab a shiny Lapras last night from my 7 day box. That was a very nice surprise!

@Heavyarms55 Refreezing snow can definitely be a pain. Thankfully the day was warm enough that the majority of the snow on any pavement has melted off; it's mostly sticking around on grass and shrubs now. Honestly, I'll taje driving on normal snow over pure ice any day; you can usually get a little traction on snow, but on pure ice? Nope. I've had many close calls on ice; the worst was when I was in high school my Junior year; I was able to leave early for the day since I was done with finals, but freezing rain was falling. I ditched the vehicle I was driving at the time near the school. Thankfully the ditch wasn't a deep one, and I was able to get the vehicle out by driving through the field (with permission) and into the drive of the residence there. Reversing out of it wasn't happening lol. If I'd went in a different direction and wiped out in a ditch in front of the school, I definitely would've needed towed out.
The Bonsly has decent stats, and I have few Sudowoodo; it admittedly isn't a favorite Pokemon, and I have rotten luck catching decent ones. Didn't play much today, hoping to finish tier 2 of the Shiny Celebi research tomorrow.
Congrats on the Shiny Lapras! That's one I've been searching for as well. I'm up for a lucky trade with my manager, and I know he has one, but I doubt he'll want to give it up. XD
@HotGoomba___Rebrand
Awful, isn't? 😣
There are a lot of fake PS2 games in Indonesia.
The title on cover doesn't even match with the ripped ROM games inside.
The worst part, there are some hacked adult PS2 games swapped with kids cartoons, burnt in pirated DVD and sold to the kids.
Extremely Fraud and Mass Idiocy. 😤
@Tyranexx Yup, basically just "A Day in the Life Of... "
What I have noticed though, is that a lot of it occurs specifically with new members. Using all caps, asking/begging for stuff, advertising their YouTube channel, and so on.
I have this sneaking suspicion that hardly any of them actually read the site rules anymore, before joining.
I know that the fine print can be a royal pain somtimes, but still: saves a lot of hassle, annoyance and misunderstandings.
Oh, well. It's a sign of the times, I suppose...
On refreezing snow: I can definitely relate to that being a pain as well. Over here, with all these ancient canals and streets, there's a lot of slanted/skewed walkways and pavements here, as well as wooden and/or otherwise slippery bridges, so whenever refreezing takes place, that's always a massively "enjoyable" experience...
