@ThanosReXXX Not really Gollum the character per se, but I like some of his mannerisms and speech pattern. I've created "possessive" characters loosely modeled after the creature. I just have to be careful not to say "precious". XD

@Zuljaras Yeah, I was already wondering about that as well, and I didn't even read it. Just saw the notification of a new post, clicked on it, only to find nothing there.
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@Tyranexx That would be "precioussss.... "
Well, I'm not much of a horror fan myself, other than certain characters and movies, but I can imagine that being part of a house of horrors crew can be quite the enjoyable experience, especially if you manage to scare the living daylights out of the so-called tough guys and gals...

@Zuljaras Aha, I see. Well, in the case of a direct reply, it'll still be in my e-mail inbox, so I'll check that instead, then.
And yes, I agree, with the stipulation that it does have to be over the top. Violence for the sake of violence or with a serious undertone isn't okay in my book. But as long as it's both gruesome and hilarious at the same time, bring it on!
EDIT:
Well, I just read your removed comment, and why it's gone, is truly beyond me, because there's nothing in there that warrants a removal, a warning or any other measure, so I guess it'll remain a mystery for now.
@Zuljaras Well, there's different types. Sniper and especially Mortal Kombat take it to ridiculously over-exaggerated levels, in which case I don't mind, but in games like Manhunt, you're performing all kinds of homicidal acts, under the guise of some kind of TV show or something, and that kind of violence in games is something that I don't like or get. In war or crime-related games, you'd expect some violence, because of the source material, but it's almost never gruesome, so that I can also get behind. Heck, I've definitely played my fair share of war and mafia games, so I really can't condemn anyone who likes those, because I do as well.
P.S.

@Vinny
Summer in Brazil, eh ?
Here in Indonesia is rainy season with heavy rain sometimes.
It can get very rainy during summer too (at least in the southeast region).
São Paulo (i live in a city not far from it) got absolutely flooded for two days last week!
This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.
@Tyranexx - Well, the Other Building sounds really cool then, and not creepy at all. I would have loved something like that as a kid, especially if it also included my own bee colony. Every kid needs a hangout spot where they feel like they’re in charge. Oh, and good ole kitchen sets. My kids are obsessed. We had a little toddler kitchen, and now we have a bigger kid kitchen and a bunch of toy food. It’s what they end up playing probably 75% of the time they have free play. My son also uses the food to play farm and feed all of his livestock, and my daughter uses it to feed her stuffed horses. We’re you crazy about horses as a kid, or maybe you had one? My daughter would give anything to have one. She got that from my wife.
@NotTelevision - I was a much bigger Nirvana fan when I was a teen, they resonated a little more with me then, but In Utero would be on my list of 25 albums I would want if shipwrecked and stuck on a deserted island, but somehow had a way to play music.
@Anti-Matter - Had a couple crazy days here, and I still haven’t caught up on your short story, but I will affirm that I wish your Avian kickboxing league was a fighting game on Switch. There’s something I’ve been thinking about though, wouldn’t the birds with spurs have an enormous, deadly edge in a kickboxing match? If I was seeding an Avian Kickboxing tournament, I’d have peacock and rooster as one and two seeds respectively, and I’d expect them to meet in the finals after slicing up their competition.
@bimmy-lee
I made another rule also.
They have to use protection on their feet (like kickboxer) and they are not allowed to use the spurs during fight. Especially Eagle, Falcon, Crane, etc have sharp spurs. They have to trim their claw before become Avian Kickboxer.
Btw, since Peacock and Rooster can't fly so they will join in Normal Kickboxing with either human or other Anthro animals as their opponent. And since they cannot fly, i will not draw Angel Wing style on their back. They will have normal hands like human, just like on Animal Crossing.
Hm... Peacock you said.
I have observed the design of Pave from ACNL and i think i will try to make Kickboxer Peacock and Rooster (Rooster is quite easy for me, but Peacock.... its fan tails kinda complicated for my design 😅 )
Btw, i give you a hint about my Avian Kickboxer. I have planned to consider another flying animals as additional Flying Animal Kickboxers. I think you can figure it out the flying animals i have considered about
Anyway, it still my plans. Hopefully i have enough time to design them.
@Zuljaras That's what I meant with "war and crime games", and I'm perfectly fine with that, because the games aren't built around violence, but around a story or period that simply contains violence as integral elements. And in GTA it's also over-exaggerated in most cases. In Manhunt however, it's just there for the sake of it. Just look it up on YouTube, and you'll see. Far as I know, there's two games in the series, and they appeared on last gen consoles, PC and on the Wii, where they also looked horrible...
And I also don't like horror movies that are like that. It needs to have some story, not just a body count meter and ever more gruesome deaths, but I guess there's a public for every type of "entertainment", but it's definitely not for me.
@ThanosReXXX@HobbitGamer That really sounds stupid. Carmageddon was like that I think.
You just drive and you have to kill as many people as you can with your car.
I played one of the Manhunt games on PS2, and it is indeed psychotic. State of Emergency was another game I played on that system that featured rioting and looting with absurd gratuitous violence.
@Anti-Matter - That was something I had considered regarding spurs. To make it fair, you could either wrap the spurs, or give metal spurs to the birds that don’t have them, but then it’s a blood bath. How do these kickboxing matches start when the bell rings? Are the birds standing in a ring, or are they already in the air?
@ThanosReXXX My favorite groups are the screaming ladies (to an extent; this appears how harsh they are on the eardrums) and the jumpy, weinie guys who sprint through the place at top speed and use other members of their group as meat shields. XD
Seems like we share similar opinions when it comes to violence, though the Mortal Kombat series has never really been my cup of tea. Part of that is due to the genre it's in though; like racing, I don't dislike fighting games, but most of them don't hold my attention long outside of Smash and the occasional Street Fighter itch.
@bimmy-lee It was a pretty cool place to hang out when I was younger, up until the ladybug problem got worse and my dad's pile of stuff multiplied. The bees didn't come along until my high school years. As far as stinging insects go, they're pretty gentle. Unless you're directly threatening their hive, they don't mind that you're nearby and just go about their business.
I was obsessed with kitchen sets and the fake food when pretending as a kid. I made quite a mean chef in my own head. I wonder if that set still exists. It's bound to be pretty old and faded out at this point.
I was indeed obsessed with horses at one point as a kid. I've always liked animals, but horses at the time were something special. I wanted a real horse but didn't know how much work they were; my parents didn't wanna deal with one lol. An aunt and uncle had a few, so that was the only horse exposure I could get. XD

@Tyranexx I once saw a funny home video, I believe it was on MTV's Ridiculousness, where a guy with a really low, manly voice entered one of these ghost mansions, and when the scares got to him, he turned into a little girl with high-pitched shrieks. It was simply hilarious. It was the epitomy of masculinity dismantled, or "the real you" revealed... True colors, as it were.
And yes, I do think we're on the same page, barring genres that we may or may not both like. I actually do like fighters and racing games, but then again: I'm a guy. Or perhaps I now need to apologize immediately, because you know, this isn't the 80's anymore and girls can like cars too...
But all kidding aside, as long as games do a nice job of over-exaggerating stuff and not taking themselves too seriously, then I really couldn't even begin to become offended or grossed out by it, which might happen if it was the exact opposite. And subsequently, I also shake my head at people who actually do take offense to these over-exaggerated games, because they are taking them WAY too seriously, and don't understand the thought or sentiment behind them.
@ThanosReXXX thanks for asking. Surprisingly better. Mild headache at worst today. A little bit if coughing here and there but nothing that's unmanageable. Been drinking alot of tea with lemon and honey 😉
