So I went away for a week, and then came back to find my youtube recommendations filled with bee movie and we are number one videos..

Next thing I decide to do, is go to the safer part of the internet and the first thing I see is two people violently posting their arguments on why lean cuisine is sub par to lunchables...

What happened while I was gone.....

Because I pay so much attention to the latest memes (not), what's all this about Bee Movie?

To be honest, I've never seen the movie, but....why is this so popular?

It's a mediocre movie, people like to make fun of it. Jerry Seinfeld plays a cartoon bee who basically falls in love with a human woman.... yeah.

Not really sure how it took off as a meme but I remember it being one even earlier than the past few months, where it's been surging in popularity.

Pretty sure there's been one meme or another about it since 2012. Unless it's not that old and my sense of time is even worse than I realized...

Honestly, Bee Movie is an inferior meme to the SM64 QPUs thing. The SM64 meme was much more exclusive and required a certain level of meme familiarity to find it funny. I'm not trying to be some kind of meme elitist or something, it's just that finding a post regarding the SM64 meme was a lot rarer than finding a mediocre Bee Movie meme, which made it that much more special.

Wait...are we seriously discussing the quality of individual internet memes over another? I guess that one xkdc strip was right - you can be a connoisseur of anything, provided you've spent enough time with it...and in this case, I'd say we've all been spending a little too much time inside that cardboard box...

Well, it could be worse. We could be discussing the fine points of the Zelda CD-i games, to put an example, or the quality of videogame movies including the legendary Mario Bros. movie.

For the record I love the Mario Bros movie! It's a fun movie and has lots of references and Easter eggs if you are on the lookout for them. But as far as movies that are in a game universe are concerned Advent Children is by far the best.

I spent a really long time trying to get a Modest Tapu Lele. Hopefully it gets easier with the other Tapus.

I won't even bother with the tapus until i can transfer my team of synchronizers from ORAS.

No, I think that'd be preferable, at this point. Those'd at least be contained events of insanity, as we try to gleam some sense of merrit to their otherwise thankless existance - trying to find the one good thing about a terrible game in order to justify the excessive amounts of time spent with it is an experience I've had my fair share of this year, to be fair.

But no matter what, a meme is just taking joke that might've been funny at one point, but gets taken completely out of its original context, and repeated adnausium until that dead horse has been ground into such a fine paste that it evaporates. It doesn't matter which one you prefer, you're going to be sick of it within 6 months at the very most. And if you aren't, then count your lucky stars, because that means you don't spend excessive amounts of time on the internet...

I have my team of synchronisers in Moon due to trying to get a modest nature Abra and failing miserably at that.

...Half of me is tempted to watch that movie now, but then again I don't want to waste my time.

I don't mind memes until they are, as pointed out, beaten into the ground repeatedly. The only exception so far for me is the Lumbergh meme.

@Nimkip gets the WINSTION (Spell check) Yeti skin I've been trying to get in the loot boxeseseseseses <--- means I went through a lot, while I got a bag full of vomit in a cart today at work.

....Also, YEEah, this is what people leave for the roo, they leave their garbage, as well as their waste. I remember back in the day, I was a flipnote star, now, I'm taking people's vomit bags in shopping carts, at least they did it in a zip lock bag.

Also, as memes come and go, you always have to remember; The SpongeBob memes are immortal, they shall be revved up until everything in the future is made out of chrome.
