Depends on the game. I like to 100%, and I think I just give up a lot of the times (and never finish the game at all oftentimes), when I realize it's going to take forever to happen and I get bored. I'm trying to convince myself that it's ok to just beat games sometimes. That I don't need the absolute best ending or every collectible, but sometimes I'm a bit too OCD for my own good.
3D Mario and all Zeldas I definitely 100%. I'm trying to get all of the gen 4 pokemon too. That's been...a challenge...so far to say the least.
My stance on walkthrough's - I try not to use them to get past difficult parts, but I do like to check and see a list of items I need to get somewhere to minimize backtracking. Then, I go through that area to find them by myself. I just don't have the time to go to every place 87 times looking for the one thing I missed, so I make sure I find everything before I leave.
To make sure that people don't get the wrong idea, I have NEVER yes NEVER used a walkthrough for a game. I absoloutely hate using them, what's the point of reading through how to do a game and then doing it? You accomplish nothing!
Lots of reasons: time constraints, looking to make sure you didn't miss anything, overcoming crappy or illogical puzzles (which occurs in the best of titles) and plenty more..
I usually use a walkthrough if I get stuck on a puzzle or something like that and than I only read that section I dont read any further. The other time I use walkthroughs is if I have already played and beat the game and I am just doing a quick play through and its been a while since I played the game. Like right now with OoT for example.

I don't typically 100% games. I mostly just play them through tons and tons of times, finding new stuff each new playthrough. I found it's more fun. Plus, I don't have the attention span to get everything, anyway.

Typically no. only the games that still hold my interest after beating them which is not very often. I'm usually ready to move on after I beat a game. I do come back to games though but at the point I always think to myself, "Hmmm I could continue my already ongoing game and complete it, but what would be more fun is starting a new file!"
I havent been able to 100% many of my games, but I want to

Depends on the song. I love the old standby guitar, although I am only competent on Medium. I also really like pro keys although the difficulty I can play depends on the song.
