Topic: Positive of the Day

Since we've got a thread for disappointments of the day, I thought I'd make a thread for positives of the day to balance things out. Yin and Yang, all that jazz. :P Nothing special yet today, but I have a couple from last week. The first is the announcement of "The Last Story" for North America. This is a game I've looked forward to as much as any other for the Wii, being a collaboration between Sakaguchi and others involved with Final Fantasy in the past, including my favorite video game composer Nobuo Uematsu. I've followed news on it even before it was released in Japan and continued to check occasionally to see if it was announced for North America. Even with the announcement of Xenoblade Chronicles, I had lost hope of seeing The Last Story. So, this was a huge positive for me as a gamer! The other came the very next day, when I found out I got a full time job I've tried hard to get, at a place where I'd worked previously. It comes at a time when things are dire here financially, so it's as big a positive as I've had in ages (my job search had been one huge disappointment). Of course it does mean WORKING, which goes against the grain with me, LOL. So, now you guys and gals! Positive and happy stuff, people! :D

Nintendo direct (and E3 in general). Not any major surprise games (yet?) but still a bunch of great games.

I just found out that there is a store in my town which sells old classic games, which are cheap too! I'm going to buy some of the Nintendo 64 games that are overpriced on Ebay from there.

Also, Donkey Kong's face during the Flame Blast was so hilarious, I put it as my temporary profile picture.

@CanisWolfred I agree with this wholeheartedly. Mega Man doesn't scream "let's fight to the death 1-1 with super complex techniques" to me.

It would be hard for him not to be a better fit in SSB. He was a disgracefully bad character in Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom.

To be fair, that was Mega Man Volnut from the Legends series.

Definitely Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for me. Actually, the whole Nintendo Direct was pretty great.

My lady friend let me barrow Winder Waker for LM2. I trust her and all but still, its Luigi's Mansion 2! We are just friends but stil.... how many people do you meet in real life that are gamers? Now divide that by about 3 or 4. Now subtract any male Nintendo gamer in existance. She is the only female Nintendo gamer in existance. :3
