@Volke93 Season 4 has been my favorite mostly on account of this being the first season I've followed the show closely (as in watching every episode as they come out).

@Volke93 - I don't think you should worry, it would take a lot to feel worse than season 3

@Aqueous I wasn't really talking about you. You didn't whine or complain, you just left perfectly clear you didn't like Magical Mystery Cure and thought that Alicorn Twilight was a terrible decision for the show, cause it made no sense to you. I don't share your opinion but I understand and respect it.

@Volke93 Season 4 is not my favorite but has been good, the best? I don't know, I am too lazy to really do the research needed to objectively decide which season is the best. Funny thing is I think Season 4 only has one bad written episode that was still ok, so imo is better than in yours I don't think a bad episode can make all season 4 bad, except the season final, just worry about that.

Celestia is casually raising the sun while waiting for her pursuers to stop fooling around and move on. Yawn.

@Twilight_Crow: is that the point..... I'm actually worried for the finale. What if it will be terrible? Actually, Meghan McCarthy said that the S4 finale is the work for the show she's most proud of together with the This Day Aria lyrics. As her fan I'd believe in her but.... for some reasons... I've a bad feeling about the finale.... a really really bad feeling...

@Volke93 I am assuming your bad feelings have something to do with the recently revealed information about the final episodes, because you are not the only person I have read a comment from saying they worry him. I haven't and I won't read any of this information so we can't really discuss that. Anyway the episodes are done and will air when the time comes, hopefully McCarthy will show again, just like with A Canterlot Wedding, that things are not as it seem.

Good luck to all of us bronies.

Oh spoiler talk! No, none of that, not here. I want to go into the end with a surprise and maybe then they can convince me with Twilcorn but seriously I doubt it. I expect I'll have to put up with the change but I'm not going to like it, especially as it seems valueless. (I'm keeping track of where it is used). So far nothing, I might sum my thoughts on how they used it come season end, so I'll keep quiet for now.

@Twilight_Crow - Guess I didn't complain enough.
No that's good, I was only trying to tease you earlier. See you around sometime.

I've been paying attention to that too. I've seen up to episode 15, and she seems to use her wings from time to time, but that could have been worked around in the cases where it wasn't just a background thing (like when she and Cadence were pulling Discord). I was actually just hoping she wouldn't use her wings, or show much change in status or power. I dislike Twilicorn just because it seemed like it put more weight on her than the rest of the Mane 6. Yeah, there was a lot of focus on her previously, especially in season 1 when she was the sole letter writer, but I think turning her into a god is pushing it a bit too much. Plus, it was a decision made purely from corporate greed, that can't be a good thing.

I hope Hasbro eases up on these corporate orders made purely to make more toys. Giving a main character god powers is stupid, and Equestria Girls was okay, but I wouldn't care if it never existed.

I'm pretty okay.

No new episode tomorrow, or today for most of you. So no need to look up if there is something on.

I did see some discussion about reviewers, so let me say that I don't really follow reviews on episodes. If I liked it, I liked it. If I loved it. I loved it. I have never not liked an episode really (Spike at Your Service being my one and only exception Good face for that one @Twilight_Crow ), but it's always nice to get another person's perspective. So when I do watch some reviews, I go to this guy...

Basically one of the most level headed reviewers out there, and he's pretty funny to boot in my opinion. I may not agree sometimes with his opinion though, but he has a right to put it out there and say it.

As for Twilight being an Alicorn, not much this season has made her new status noticeable, except for a few episodes, with the latest being a prime example from the wings factor. As with some others have said, we're all just going to have to see how it all pans out in the end of this season before we pass on judgement. Hopefully everything will be fine.

@CorporalPegasus love that little moment gif.

As for the RP, I'll try and make a post sometime tomorrow to keep things going. I've been a bit busy in the meantime with cramming studies and an apprenticeship to get the necessary training before a looming deadline, so haven't had the time. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day I get RP post and comic impression in.

Until then, enjoy another Rainbow Rocks short.

Happy weekend everypony!

No new pony today, buuuu. Whatever we have lots of fan content yay.

I can't take it anymore... must... post... more Trixieeeeee!

FoTW

Tonight on the ==Fic of The week,== Trixie! Oh and RD and Fluttershy:
Trixie's Forest Retreat by crowscrowcrow
[On Fimfiction Slice-of-Life Incomplete Teen]
Following the events of Boast Busters, Trixie decides to hide from the town's ponies, and Rainbow Dash in particular, by taking cover in the Everfree Forest.
Probably not the best idea. Just what lurks in the forest and was this a mistake even bigger than claiming to have vanquished an Ursa Major? Trixie is going to find out.

What at first seems like a cliche story about Trixie being saved by Fluttershy, becomes a lot more when Rainbow Dash can't rein her temper. The characters are very well written, they are interesting and have more depth than in other kind of stories, specially Trixie, but RD is very good too. This story is not about what transpires on the forest, and believe me many things happen; but about the interactions of the ponies involved, their reactions, and how are they affected by the consequences of their actions. Is a very emotional ride.
Decent writing that has been improving.

@Lunapplebloom Ok, you posted the Fluttershy short (OMC forget the pony/girls, it has cute little hamsters with outfits Teeheehee) But you didn't post the awesome short with the Great and Powerful Trixie? Shame on you.

Can't wait for that comic review btw, I really liked Friends Forever #4.

And more Trixie... riding a big lizard.... it is just too awesome.

@Twilight_Crow That's because I just had this feeling you were going to do it anyways, what with... well, you know, Trixie. Interesting that they pitted her against Rainbow Dash in that one, with her vs Twilight usually being the one, but I liked that. Story looks interesting as most of the time and added to the list, and that pic is nothing to snuff at. I wonder if there are at least a few more dragon like creatures around that are at least friendly in Equestria, but so far, only one seems to be Spike. I like that concept though. And thank you, I'll try to please, and personally, I enjoyed it myself.

@Moorpheel Who knows really, but hamsters know fashion. I'm sure I'll see a gif of that last scene floating around somewhere eventually.

@Gioku Yep, I just had this feeling when it comes to you and Fluttershy. Count in Rarity as the assistant in that video, and I knew you would enjoy it. XD

More RPing!

Luna is suddenly taken aback by the sudden flailing of Discords body, with Pinkie jumping off her back to eat the grains he had spilled all over the floor from the torn pillow. Listening to Discord for a moment, there was a flash of light, she then feels some clothing on her that she hadn't felt since yesterday. "Ugh... Not again...', She grumbles under her breath as she lifts a hoof to see the new maid uniform on her this time instead of the nurse she had on earlier at the palace. Her face then turns a dark purple, before shouting, "Enough!" Luna then proceeds to picking up the the whole clump of grains and ties off the pillow with her magic. "There!",She yells in a huff as she makes her way to the train car doors, disregarding Twilight's comment, and tearing the maid costume off of herself in the process. As she exit's the car, alleviation suddenly strikes Luna as if the weight of the world had suddenly lifted off her shoulder and she could breathe again. She had just gone through the most agonizing train ride she had ever had to endure, but she finally made it to where she wanted to go. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you..." She started spouting as she kissed the Las Pegasus soil she had just stood on. "it's absolutely wonderful to be out of that box car. I dare say that I was about to lose my mind..." She then turns around and yells into the car. "Quickly, you three! We shall make with more haste to find her!"

Comic Time!

Today's issue is none other than Friends Forever issue #4 of the My Little Pony comic series.
Untitled
Gotta love that Celestia Stain glass. Poor Luna was obscured by the logo... :/

Anyways, onto the impression/review. In a non spoilery way, I'll just flat out say I enjoyed the issue. A good read.

Ok, I must admit that when I first was reading this issue, I was feeling a little letdown because I was still in the 'what an interesting comic arc the mane series is having right now' mindset. That moment quickly subsided once I finally got stuck into the meat of the issue and got past the first few pages. I pretty much realized that that I was trying to compare a 4 part arc to a single issue story, and that's just plain unfair. (My bad... Untitled) Anywho... This issue starts out with Twilight Sparkle being excited to see her B.B.B.F.F. in the Crystal Empire. With Cadance supposedly gone for some reason or another, It's time for some sibling bonding. Which is why she is bringing the encyclopedia they used when they were foals to be 'monster trackers'. Just to point out in that scene, we get some continuity from the main series of Shinning Armors table top RPG's courtesy of Spike. Nothing to big, but figure it's worth mentioning. And speaking of Spike, we never see him again in this issue. Usually, he goes everywhere with Twilight, but I guess he must have been told to keep things tidy while she's gone. That, and she probably wanted to spend some quality time with Shinning alone. moving on, a short train ride away, and an escort to the imperial palace later, and we find that everyone's favorite B.B.B.F.F. is currently swamped with royal duties while the princess is away. I'd like to give credit to the writers of the comic series again for acknowledging Twilight's status quo change. It still seems the show is still isn't putting this to use, but the comics seem to be ahead in that department. (Love her being mistaken for Celestia by a near sighted pony) We also see some familiar mustachioed ponies in this scene. Gotta love those visual nodes in the series. We then here that the castle staff are afraid of some strange occurrences that have been happening around the castle. Twilight remembers a monster in the book she brought that had a similar description as the castle staff had just described, but was ultimately shot down. Not just by the staff, but by her very own B.B.B.F.F. as well. He simply reassures the staff that it's probably nothing, moving the subject as soon as he can to something else, and allowing Twilight to get settled in to her own personal chambers. I find it interesting that Shinning didn't even stop to consider that Twilight may have possibly been right. It can all be chalked up to Shinning having a rough day, and wasn't wanting to have the staff feeling more troubled. Then again, he was willing to show her the net that they had used when they were little, so maybe it wasn't. I may be chasing that thought for nothing really, but moving on... After Twilight get's settled in and drifts off to sleep while waiting for her brother through the night, we see some flashbacks of their childhood together being Monster Trackers. I love these little flashbacks they hand out in this issue. Seeing filly Twilight is always a treat, and gives us a bit more info into the past. Then the creature from the story steals the book in her chambers, while also giving a good scare to the castle staff once more. With Shining still nowhere to be found, Twilight Jumps into action to try and trap the book thief herself (Love the Mario Bros. pony response to being asked to help. ). Luckily, When Twilight's trap is tripped in the library, Shinning makes his long overdue action scene net toss. Only they catch the wrong book lover, specifically Lex, who I can't help but think of being this guy whenever I read his name. After some quick patching up of their relationship, Shinning then joins Twilight on her quest to capture the creature, but have no idea where it went. That's when Lex clumsily uncovers a secret passageway (sigh... that never get's old, especially in old castles). Used by Kind Sombera back when he ruled the Crystal Empire with an iron fist, it was nice to get more Equestrian lore, especially when it relates to King Sombera. This also gives us a chance to see more of how things have changed between the siblings since they were foals, and how they think of each other now. After dodging some traps that they figured the creature had set it'self, and going through a long maze (though I don't see why Twilight didn't just fly over it to find the exit and guide her B.B.B.F.F. to the other side. Oh well, I'll let that slide, but missed opportunity writer.), we find out who is responsible... A sobbing Crystal Bard. To be honest, I never saw this twist coming. Sure, there would probably be some reasoning and ponies and monster coming to an understanding, but not in this way. We learn that the Crystal Bard had been captured by Sombra while he was in power, and had kept him as a poorly treated story teller. Having found the secret passage the ponies had just found, the Crystal Bard decided to make his escape. It's nice to see a little more on what Sombera was like besides saying Crystals, and just goes to show what lengths he'd go to to get what he wants. But, having comforted the Crystal Bard, they soon give it a job as a librarian of sorts, as well as being a story teller. With that, we then close with the siblings to saying goodbye, but not before at least mentioning night sprites and yelling which page they are one. Overall, the plot was very balanced I found, and the interactions between Twilight and Shinning where both cute and fun. And we get to see more of that all important Equestrian history. Always love me some of that. The art in this issue follows the increase from last issues Celestia and spike duo with it being done by none other than the talented Amy Mebberson. I just really like her style, and she falls into the same boat as Andy Price as being one of my faves. So I recommend this issue to anyone willing to give the series a shot (which is pretty much what I say about almost every entry, but still. ).

Long post is long...

The sudden statement that came from Twilight took Discord by surprise. He started with a little chuckle, trying not to smile, but he was powerless to resist. He then proceeded to burst out in laughter. "Bwaaahaahaahaaaaaaaa! Ohoh..ohoh..ohoh...oohaaahahahaaahhahaaaaaa! Oh Twilight! Y...you....you do haha..have a sense of humorhurhurheeeeeaaaahahahaaaaa!" Though unable to stop laughing as he rolled back in his seat, he did manage to at least clap his hands together, causing both Twilight's and Luna's maid apparel to disappear. Tears streamed down his horse-like face as he continued to regain control over his faculties. He got up and walked out of the train car to see Luna finishing a smooching session with the ground, still chuckling from the event that transpired. He breathed heavily from a lack of oxygen, so he leaned up against Luna, wiping his eyes with his hands. "I feel so much better now. That was the funniest thing I've heard in a long time, and it came from Miss Bookworm. A date........hahah" A sigh of relief came to him as he finished his chuckling. "So....what were we doing again?"
