I saw Cars 2 on Friday. It's better than people are saying, I'll give it that.
I also watched the last part of Up for the second (third?) time on Friday, forgot how good it was.
I also also watched Dead Poets Society on Friday, which is unspeakably brilliant. Anyone else seen this excellent movie? If not, rent it from Netflix today.
Also also also, I am so watching Captain America next Friday.
Also also also also, I'm seeing Winnie the Pooh for my birthday (the 28th).
Dead Poets was good until the last third of the movie. Then it completely collapsed on itself because all the characters seemed to forget what happened in the first two thirds or suddenly became imbeciles.
Really? The last third is pretty much after, without spoiling anything, the thing happens with the person, and I felt like the people reacted realistically. It is a little questionable when they comply with the other people and do the thing, since the other person was so important to them. But the people sorta make up for it when they do the other thing later.
Nevermind there's no way I can talk about this without spoilers. Can you elaborate on your point a little bit?
Well, I thought the kid doing the thing was in itself a bit stupid. I don't see why he didn't just rebel like he had been doing for the entire rest of the movie. Then the red haired kid randomly turned into an idiot who betrayed the guy for no real reason beyond "Redhead kid is evil now!" and all the rest of the kids complied with the head guy instead of rebelling like they had been for the rest of the movie to try and save the guy. Then when they did their thing in the end it was too late and didn't change anything, which made the ending feel pretty hollow to me. It just seemed like they ran out of ideas and decided to throw in a bunch of sadness for no real reason.
Oh yeah, and the kid's dad leaping down screaming "NOOOOOOOO" in slow motion ruined any suspense that could possibly have existed in the scene where the kid did the thing, but that's more of a personal annoyance.
I really am looking forward to seeing Captain America TODAY! Hopefully at lest!
I'm hitting the 10pm showing tonight.
I saw Harry Potter 7 last weekend. It wasn't too shabby. I just wish there was a little more action. 2 of my 3 favorite characters were killed off which kinda sucks. Also, wtf was up with Hagrid. I was hoping for some sort of epic fight sequence but no, all we got was him captured with no explanation whatsoever.
Everyone's gonna forget about Harry Potter and start talking about Captain America now. That makes Harry Potter hipster enough for me to see! Me and some friends are gonna go see HP2ATDHP2 later today

I think that Disney's John Carter of Mars, Brave, and Warner Brothers Bone will all spap franchises (film trilogies and cycles) and that is a good thing.
I also think that Bone might make waves the way Harry Potter did as its a mix of Snoopy/Carl Barks's Pogo and Lord of the Rings. I'm also excited for the new Avatar television series that J. Cameron has begun work on. Avatar could be the next Star Wars in a way.

I recently got into the Harry potter movies and surprisingly I like them. I thought these movies were just a stupid fad with the kids. Now I'm trying to collect the whole set. Is that silly or what? I feel all dirty though cause I've never read the books. Maybe I should.

And honestly, i never cared for Lord of the Rings or StarWars....I'm just not a big fan of anything 'medieval' or SCFI-ish. I'm a straight up horror nut job and i love fantasty.
Ok??? I am confused you said you like fantasy but you didnt care for LOTR? Was it the acting or something?
