Last Movie I saw was SDF Macross II: Lovers Again. Even as a fan of the original Macross, I found this sequel to be painfully average with a stupid story that never really got interesting. Ugh, and the voice acting was terrible, though they at least left the music intact this time around. Not really worth the 3 dollars in credit I spent to watch it.
Up next, RoboTech: The Shadow Chronicles! Or Plastic Little, if that counts. A bit too short to be a movie I guess.
I really don't watch movies nearly as much as I should. The last movie I saw was Scott Pilgrim VS. The World. Loved it. I've been meaning to go watch other movies but none of them have gotten me interested/hyped enough to go out to a theater and watch it. If I'm not mistaken Scott Pilgrim was the first movie I had gone to a theater to see since The Haunting In Connecticut, and that was because friends invited me.
I see at least 1 or 2 movies a month. Last few I saw in January where Tron, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Taking of Pelham 1-2-3, and Defiance. Pretty good movies but I fell asleep in Tron cause of tiredness (and playing too much Zelda the night before ).
Also, I saw the Transformers 3 and Thor commercials during the Super Bowl
The Oscars. Ah yes. The pinnacle of human hubris. The yearly love fest where we pack a theater full of multi-million and billionaires that cumulatively may hold twice the money than every citizen in my state of Oklahoma COMBINED, so they can worship and adore each other. But, that's not all, ladies and gentlemen! The yearly love fest where said individuals of unspeakable wealth also expect hundreds of millions of "commoners" around the world to tune in to also worship and adore each other! Pass. I'll read the outcome in the paper, maybe.
Perhaps I'm just bitter that Parker Posey didn't get a best actress nomination for "The House of Yes" in 1997, "The Dark Knight" didn't get a best picture nod a couple of years back, and "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" didn't get a visual effects nomination this year.
Actually, that's not it. I just wanted to mention those past snubs. I just don't like overbearing rich people who want the poor and middle class to treat them like gods on Mt. Olympus!
Sean Aaron ~ "The secret is out: I'm really an American cat-girl." Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb? A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.
